  1. TIP: For oath ceremony, something I suggest investing in is to order this (Amazon has them for $12-$15): - U.S. Citizenship and Naturalization Certificate Holder It will keep it protected and secured. We were given just certificate without any folder or protective case. Also, make sure not to lose it, otherwise its $555 fee for replacement. 🙂
  2. Hi DesiNavy, Not in Tampa. If family member comes with you, they will only be allowed to wait outside of the building.
  3. Oath ceremony is over. Oath ceremony in Tampa was super quick, letter said it will start at 10am, they let you in 30 mins prior to that. By 10:15am we left the building. Done, done and done. No pics allowed inside, but you can take outside. Congrats to everyone, you are already on finish line!
  4. Office Location: Tampa, FL Interview: 8/9/2022 Filed in February 2022 The officer was a very sweet friendly and compassionate lady. She made sure to make it non-stressful, it really depends who you get. They asked for appointment letter, passport and green card. If you recently had a baby, they will add Birth Certificate to the file. I was offered to have oath ceremony tomorrow, same location. Had to confirm my name, my address, few questions on N400 were asked about oath and weapons (Yes or No). Since I answered everything correctly, I was only asked 6 questions: 1) How many senators (100) 2) Who is the senator of your state 3) The border with Canada (New York) 4) What is the highest court (Supreme) 5) Who is the President of the US? (Joe Biden) 6) For how many years we elect senator? (6 years) Write: Washington is the Father of our country. (You will be offered tablet and stylus) Read a sentence. Pretty pleasant experience! You got this, just breathe and smile.
  5. Filed 2/20/22 Interview notice date on USCIS 6/22/22 Received by mail 6/30/22 Interview date 8/9/22 Field Office Tampa, FL. Filed based on 3 year rule married to USC
  6. So, the question in the N-400 application is "Have you taken a trip outside of the United States in the last 5 years?", and then you have to list all your trips outside the US. I assume this question was written for those who are applying on the basis of 5 years of permanent residency, and it hasn't been adjusted to take account of the fact that people (like me) are eligible to apply for citizenship after only 3 years of residency. I think the question is probably intended to ask "have you taken a trip outside the United States since you became a lawful permanent resident"... So, if applying for citizenship on the basis of 3 years' permanent residency, do you answer this question: (a) with 3 years of travel history (which doesn't strictly answer the question as-written, but answers it in terms of travel taken since becoming a lawful permanent resident), or (b) 5 years of travel history (which will include 2 years when I wasn't living in the US)?! Thanks in advance for any help!
