My guess is that they were way behind normal processing time, then one September file was processed for some reason (an expedite, maybe), and then changed the date to September to make it look better. They technically were not lying since they "got" to September.

And then, 6458 calls later to their call center from confused-even-angry filers made them probably rethink their strategy.

I agree, i file form for replacing naturalization certificate in May,wait time was 9 months,3 months after i got letter that they need copy of my ID and when i sent it back they said on website that they r gonna star processing it again, right now they doing December 2016 cases, what i want to say that i dont think that info on there site is right, why they started working on my case if in that time they was doing  August 2016 cases,so confusing

    Hello,

My fiancée and I filled our fiance visa on april 2017 and we received and approval notice in September (NOA2) stating that our case would be transferred to the NVC within 2-4 weeks.
My fiance's congressman also made an inquiry with the NVC and she's awaiting a response and we have contacted the state senator also.
We know what is going on, and there were no issues with our application not even a request for evidence.
It has also been 7 weeks since the approval.

My fiancée sent an inquiry through the USCIS website and this is the respone that we received:

The status of this service request is:

On October 25, 2017, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your Form I-130 to notify us that your case is not located in NVC. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

The petition indicated that the beneficiary would adjust status in the United States.  Therefore it will not be forwarded to NVC.  If you want your case to be forwarded to NVC, you will need to file a Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition.  You can download this form by visiting our website at www.USCIS.gov.

    What You Can Do
Please see the "Online Services" below to check the status of your case in the near future. We apologize for the delay.

We hope this information is helpful to you.

We are totally stressed and worried about what is happening and what will happen.
If someone could help us about what to do.
This is very concerning for now.

    Thank you for your help,

    Joel

I agree with @Kat123. Idk what's right or wrong because they don't update us properly. No one knows unless they work there or for a high enough level in the government and has an actual interest in this. I follow the April & May threads very closely (I lurk a lot lol) & I've seen just a few minutes ago someone was approved since Nov 6th and you know how she found out? She had to call and go back forth with them til she they told her and their excuse was that the tracker wasn't updated. I don't know their process for updating their tracking, as a matter of fact I don't know anything about their side of the process. All I can do is make speculations and give myself and other hope because at the end of the day even if the process takes longer than we want it to, it's hope that helps us pass the time until we can be together permanently with our significant other :wub:

They doing case by case and sometimes some of them take longer,Im hoping that we will have ours Approved by End of December :)

From everything I have been told on here and read on free legal advice websites you are perfectly able to travel while the K1 in pending but it's really up to the POE officer whether he/she plans to return. I feel like if you've never over stayed your visits, have return tickets, and you'll have a case number to show you should be fine. Me and my fiance have been together for three years and he has made several trips within that over here. They always ask him why he's here, they always rifle through his luggage and break his locks but never have denied him entry. He's already planning a trip in January to stay for a few weeks during it pending. He's just going to carry the copy of our petition just in case they ask to see it.

Atlanta in our opinion is no where near as bad as some because he does a lot of lay overs to save money. He's done Orlanda, New York, New Jersey, Boston, and Atlanta. New York is by far the worst. Good luck to you!

I live in Vegas and I hope everything is going to be good😀

so they won't question different handwritings?? I signed some of the additional papers we supplied with but on the actual I-129F application we both filled out different parts of it. I just want to make sure its fine for him to be the only one who signs it. Anyone else done this, where you both filled it out together? :)

I'm not sure about handwriting, but it is only one part to sign on the form and is for petitioner because he is petitioning for you,i would call immigration to ask just to make sure if is ok to have 2 different handwriting's

Instructions says: “include a divorce decree”. I think a normal copy is ok.. if they needed an original they would say it very directly in instructions. I believe in K-1 petition what you include are mostly copies (USC birth certificate or passport pages etc) bcs USCIS doesn’t sent them back. Beneficiary needs originals for interview :)

Thank you,i did call them to ask and they said if dont say originals sent a copy, but i was not sure

I just sent my I-295f via UPS today. My packet was really small compared to a lot of what I read on these forums(30 pages all together). To me the instructions said to explain how you met in person and asked nothing about the history of your relationship. I guess my question is what is the logic of sending in chat logs and stuff with the I-295f when it isn't requested on the form or in the instructions?

I sent I-129F form, copy of my US passport,my statement how we meet,my and his statements of intention to get married, copy of my aeroplane tickets and pictures together,I didn't sent copy of the chats because that's need to be presented on the interview
