So I know government assistance like Medicare or Medicaid are not allowed for sponsored immigrants. But on healthcare.gov there is a tax credit based on income.

I sponsored my dad but he is filing his taxes by himself and based on his income he qualify for tax credit that paying his health insurance. Will this affect me or affect him in the future? 

one of my parent is a green card holder and applied for child under 21 last month. the child age was 20 at the time of application. somehow they approved his I-130 yesterday. which is weird, the problem is F2A has backlog to 2019 so visa will not be current anytime soon.

CSPA age is age when visa becom current - (age at application time + uscis processing time). in this case his processing time is only one month.

do you think USCIS played a dirty game here so he can age out before visa becomes current?

anybody have similar situation?

they only stamp the visa and wrote in the stamp “IR-5” without signature. Does this serve as endorsement?

Does anybody know what is the procedure for IR5 upon arrival? Do they take fingerprints for example? Do they ask for specific paperwork? What documents to carry with her?

My mom got her IR5 visa approved and she is landing in Chicago next month. She does not speak English very well and she is traveling alone. Does anybody know what do they ask or do after arrival? Since the application was electronically processed she does not have sealed package.

if you went through this, how long usually it takes? What is the process? Again her visa is IR5 immigration visa.

I received an RFE on my I-130 and it has also a paper called "coversheet" as the attached file. My question is if I were to attach additional documents that are not the primary evidence, should i list them under "other:"?

Anybody has experience with this?

I have filed i-130 for my mom but forgot to upload her birth certificate. I got RFE to submit her birth certificate so she requested one but just found out that her last name is not matching her current last name which i am assuming we are treating it as maiden name. The issue is that I did not list that name in the section that has "any other used names". How would I correct that if USCIS already start working on the case? should I submit something with requested birth certificate as request to change? or what should I do. I am worried this is going to affect the case we have been waiting for almost a year to hear something.. anybody have experience with this?

I filed online and no you don't need their birth certificate or police clearance when you file. We might need them later in the process but not when you file.

Hello everybody,

I am a US citizen and planning to petition my mom for GC, I have two young siblings under 21 years old. What is the best way to bring them with her? Do I need to fill separate I-130 for each or wait until my mom get her green card and then she can petition them?  or can I file them under "right to follow" to come with my mom. The issue is that they are young and my mom can't leave them behind so what is the fastest legal way to bring them?

And yes, it is reliable. I'm not sure whether the Oath Ceremony letter will appear in the new version of the system as unfortunately I am NOT at that stage yet, but it is my understanding based on what I read that perhaps it does not.

 

Either way, you will receive the physical letter soon in the mail.

It'll take you to the new login page, but then it'll open the old version.

 

I opened the old system and it shows that the last "Recent Notices" was the Interview Scheduled but in Status Message:USCIS has scheduled your oath ceremony and will mail you the appointment notice.

Is this old system reliable? I remember there was a lot of issue in that system. I checked on the other two systems and none of them showing the update.

I got an email yesterday about a case update and i waited for a day, but I don't see any update on the system, is that normal?

I have a question, I checked my account and saw that I got the first status which is "We Approved your application" then the second one is "You attended your interview". on the other system where you insert case number it says "We placed you in line for oath ceremony". I sent them a message online and they responded that the last status for your case is You attended your interview and if you are quit approved then you will be placed for oath.

Which one should I believe? does it mean I am approved or not? why would I get approved then attended your interview? does that mean they changed their mind??
