The CO's at USEM rarely ask for financials anymore but if you read the checklist you will find that they recommend that she have the financials at the interview. So having them and being asked saves you from an RFE which can tack on a couple of more weeks. I know $75 buckaroos is money that can be used for some Red Horse beer. Make sure she has CFO taken care of before heading to the airport. Without it she is not getting out of the country.
CFO is scheduled for july 6th with intention to fly to the US by july 22. That red horse sounds good right about now

A little update. So the gf went through the interview process and she passed. The case is now under administrative processing. The interview went smooth and only asked for the pictures in which she made a scrapbook. All this time i regretted sending my financial documents thru fedex overnight (which i paid $74.00). It made on time but the consular didnt asked for it. And now shes planning to leave on July 22. I just want to thank everyone's help here on this forum. All this lurking and reading did help a lot going through this process. As for the rest good luck on your journey and hope everything goes well. Her piece of advice is make sure all the documents are completed and signed and it'll go smoothly. And always smile on the day of your interview. Not all consulars are mean and looks like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Some are friendly. Good luck and thank you visa journey for the knowledge i gained going through this process

So as im gathering my documents my employer wont release my letter of employment until i show them something from either the USCIS or IRS stating that i need to show the company that they need that employment letter for the affidavit of support. How do i get that letter or what documents do i need to show my employer to obtain that letter of employment? Thank you
-
Btw i just want to thank everyone who patiently replies to my inquiries. Currently working on gathering the supporting documents i need to send out. Its an overwhelming response to see other people who are in the same situation as i am working and helping each other out. I wish everyone good luck on this journey as we are almost at the finish line of the 1st phase.

So what does it mean when you check your case at NVC and it says ready?

You can track your case on ceac.state.gov
Once its ready you can contact your embassy to get packet 3 or 4 from them and schedule your medical and interview. And ofcorse while all that prepare all docs you need for the interview.
Thank you. Im currently waiting for my IRS transcripts to come to be mailed to me. Also working on the affidavit of support already. What does my fiance need to do while waiting

So now that i got my case number what is the next step that me and my fiance need to do?

You're welcome!
Many Filipinos on this website.
Just ask one of them what steps to take. I think there's a special website to go to to schedule your interview and Medical at Manilla.
Good luck!Thank you for the response. Hope everything goes smooth from here

Follow your embassy specific needs- some embassies contact you, Others you do yourself.
All financial documents needed are sent to your fiance to bring to the interview, not NVCThank you for the response

So i called NVC and they have received the petition today (April 26). So whats next after that? Do i send the financial support papers to NVC or to my fiance? And how long does it take for the case number to be assigned?
NOA1: 10/5/17
NOA 2: 4/5/18 online
4/9/18 hard copy

Normally Police Certificates are valid for 90 days (Depending on the country). I would personally wait until I have my interview date.
Thank you for the response. I believe in the Philippines it is valid for 1 year but either way it is best to just wait until we have the case number and close to the interview date to prevent a possible rfe or be put on 221g

I dont know if this is a good idea but my fiance is wondering if she can get her police clearance now while we are waiting for the NVC case number or shall we wait until she has her interview date set?
-
I was wondering where do we check the status of our case at NVC? Do we check it at the USCIS website or the NVC site
Approved April 5th. Received NOA 2 april 9th hard copy
Thank you

Quick question. If it says on the ceac that the visa is "issued" it means it had left the embassy to be delivered right? Or am i wrong on that one?
