Some updates - I had my interview earlier today and I think it went well.

    Following is the case history:

Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled.    September 27, 2021

We recommended that your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, be approved. Your case was submitted for quality review.     September 27, 2021

We scheduled an interview for your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.     August 19, 2021

We are actively reviewing your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization. Our records showed nothing is outstanding at this time.     August 14, 2021

We received your Form N-400, Application for Naturalization, and sent you a receipt notice.     August 11, 2021

Interview was pretty standard - English reading, writing and civics questions. I applied on the basis of five years of residency post GC. I did not have any criminal record, any travel more than 40 days, or any other complications. The office was extremely friendly and nice. Everyone in the office treated me well - right from security, to receptionist, to the office.

I'm super thankful to everyone for all the help. I'm here to assist in any way possible. :)

Thanks for the update! Where did you interview, what location in Texas? What documents did you bring alongwith; did they ask for any additional updates? What protocols were they adhering to inside the office?

I have my interview on Oct 21 @1:15pm at the San Antonio office.. my N400 is 3yrs based on Marriage to USC - see my signature below for additional info..

I second what StuTor said. They did not allow spouse to go in.

Also for ceremony, traditionally, they might have encouraged family members, but this time, they had social distancing on chairs and they have limited seating for number of people becoming citizen. So I would highly discourage bringing wife and little one.

Thanks a lot for the insights!! Based on my interview time (@1:15pm) I doubt I'll have the oath ceremony on the same day 😒

Based on what i've been reading by other interviewers the last couple months, i don't think they'll allow your spouse and child to even enter the building. Sure you can bring them along for moral support, and they can explore San Antonio while you go in for the interview haha.

    Good luck on the interview!

Thanks! I've yet to peruse other threads.. I'd rather they not come along..baby is still <4months and i'd rather my spouse enjoy carefree and relax/work at home than take time off..
Also any other inputs, if you've come across info on other threads for any additional documents to carry? I've already got the standard file ready...

Hi, so you did not get scheduled for an interview? I submitted in Texas and yesterday I got an update that case was transferred to speed up processing. I am now waiting for the letter in the mail.

No, I did not get any interview notice. Good luck, it sounds like you’re trending in the same direction!

Check your case status online, mine shows now (with the tracking number)

Just checked casestatus online on a whim...
Original fingerprints applied to I-751 case../

No notification in my email/waiting on USPS informed delivery scan...

Checked USPS informed delivery email earlier last month and received a Case Transfer Notice to National Benefits Center which explicitly noted "In order to speed up your processing"...and I was like meh...whats going to get sped up in this environment...
To my astonishment, I checked my mailbox this evening to unveil a letter from USCIS which had my I-751 Final Approval Notice!!

Super excited and relieved! Waiting on the Permanent Card to come through...

Hey guys! Here is our background information. We were married September 16th, 2017. My wife's green card was issued February 13th, 2019 and it expires February 13th, 2021. I believe we should file the I-751 90 days before her green card expires correct? Anytime sooner and it could be rejected I read somewhere. Also I just wanted to confirm that we should be filing the I-751 and not the I-90. Both seem similar. Thank you for your help!

I believe all the folks have explained that I-751 is the way to go...however, just wanted to clarify that I-90 is a completely different form as compared to I-751.

The basis for filing form I-90 is for renewing/replacing your Permanent Green Card or if there are problems/corrections with your conditional green card...

Hello everyone, I’m filing early September and I know this is August filers but since there isn’t a September filers topic yet I thought I’d just ask it here. Which is the best place to send the package off with (USPS or FedEx) and what box is the best to use. The top loader or the Side loader, medium or large? Sorry for the questions just need to know so I can prepare properly when I send it. TIA

Sadly, there's no formula for 100% success rate using either USPS/Fedex or UPS. Basically whatever you're comfortable using...I, for example, did my AOS filing with Fedex and my ROC filing with USPS. Fedex/UPS offer(s) the ability to have someone sign for the package, I guess, since it is not at a lockbox facility.

On the kind of box...it all depends on how much paperwork you've gathered, and if it needs/warrants a bigger box.

See the 1st post on this Aug 2020 filers thread, I posted a picture of my paperwork/package. Total number of pages for me turned out to be ~75. I was able to send them in the USPS priority mail envelope that sideloads...

    Good luck!

So I wrote the check for my wife's filing fee and I did not follow the directions.  I did not mention my wife (petitioner/green card holder) in the memo of the check. It has only my name on the check.  Is this a big issue ? Will USCIS still cash it?

    No issue at all!

They won't care. All that matters is that the correct amount is listed and that it's addressed to "U.S. Department of Homeland Security" and the check is signed so it can be deposited.

    All they care about is:

To be more specific, at our I485 interview the officer took this evidence about our relationship:

    Marriage certificate 2016

2017 tax transcript (married filing jointly)

Letter from the bank stating we have a joint account 2018

Joint account bank statements Aug 2018- Oct 2018

    Renter insurance 2018

    Car insurance 2017-2018

Health insurance coverage on same account

    Gym membership 2016-2018

Letter from landlord and our lease 2016-2018

Two photos- both from 2016 (even though we had photos dating 2010 to Sept 2018)

We did AOS to present. They've got your info from the time you established your relationship, to your marriage date and through filing AOS.

Our AOS was in October 2018...similar life/relationship history...dating since 2014, living together since 2015, wedding in 2017...

We have an immigration paralegal in the family for some guidance...and they mentioned not to go overboard with the documentation...

This is what I submitted in my recent package

    •  Joint ownership of communal residence - *TX County* public website access
    •  Joint annual mortgage statements and latest monthly mortgage statement
    • Joint property tax receipts (shows Joint ownership of communal residence)
    • Joint property insurance
    • Joint Home Owner’s Association Bills – with payment history (2018-present)
    • Joint IRS Tax Transcripts – 2017, 2018, 2019
    • Joint bank statements with transaction history (latest 4 months)
    •  U.S. Citizen Spouse’s 403b, Life Insurance, AD&D Insurance printouts showing Petitioner as beneficiary
    • Petitioner’s 401k, Life Insurance, AD&D Insurance printouts showing U.S. Citizen Spouse as beneficiary
    • Joint car insurance
    • Joint economic stimulus payment letter – from the White House
    • Joint ownership of our Pet Cat - medical history from Vet Clinic
    • Joint travel booking confirmations with pictures from the trips
    • Selection of pictures that document relationship
  14. Yep you can! Did that for AOS and sent ours in for ROC as well.. Never submitted any Tax Returns (even when we were unmarried/for the i-864)

So, I logged in online and downloaded my tax transcripts. Can I print them out and submit them as part of my evidence package? Or do I have to get those copies requested and received by mail?

    Thank you.

I'm wondering if this is enough evidence to submit with the I-751 to remove the conditions on my wife's green card?

    1. Birth Certificate for our son born while she was a conditional resident.

    2. Tax transcripts showing joint filing 2018 & 2019

    3. Copy of Master Cards showing names and same account number.

    4. Copy of state ID/Drivers license showing same address.

    5. Letter from work showing wife as beneficiary on company life insurance policy.

    6. Affidavit from my mother vouching for our marriage and stating she is allowing us to live in one of the homes she owns.

    7. Copy of weekly church flyer listing us as new members September 2018.

    8. Copy of church flyer announcing birth of our son dated January 2020.

    9. Copy of plane ticket with both names for vacation we took together.

    10. Photos of us taken at various times throughout the marriage.

We haven't opened up any joint accounts because she is a homemaker and their hasn't been a need for a joint bank account. I don't have her on my company insurance because it is too expensive so I have her and my son covered thru the marketplace. We are living in a home owned by my mother and the bills are in her name I just pay them. Does this evidence sound like enough our is there anything that should be added? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

+1 to what was said above. All they want to know is that she's a partner in sharing/commingling finances.

Instead of the the actual Master Cards - I would send copies of your monthly statements which proves that you're both spending money and paying it off. If you received the Joint Stimulus letter from the White House that is also good proof...

    You've basically covered everything else..
