One thing she doesn't have to do is another interview so don't worry about that. The status sometimes changes from AP to ready before changing to issued. I've read plenty of times before from others who have experienced this. Either way it doesn't hurt to email them to find out what the status is. The fact that the date updated today is a good thing because at least you know someone reviewed your case.

Thanks, you have me feeling better. I've never read anything from the reviews about it going from AP to Ready to Issued. I hope and pray that's what's happening. Even though I know the K1 is a IV I've also been checking NIV status just in case. I just don't want a generic answer in the email.

Did the date change for both case numbers because I see you have 2. Are you petitioning for her child too?

Out date last updated on May 22nd which is when they responded back to saying they received his birth certificate. Which means they touched his case that day to login receiving his birth certificate. We're still in AP status although they said in an email response that our case is in the final stage of processing. They were closed last Wednesday due to Jamaica's Labor Day holiday and closed on Monday for memorial day. Praying it gets issued and the week is over.

If the date changed that meant they touched your case. You might want to Cinderella out why it's still in AP status. I'm thinking it's because they don't have your certificate of non-impediment. If not, then you need to find out what is the reason is for the delay.

The first number was when NVC sent the paperwork to the embassy and it was ready to schedule the original interview. The 2nd number was in AP status from April 30th, when she did her interview and was approved. It was updated May 18th and they emailed me saying they received the medical. It was updated again today from AP to Ready. I'm confused as to why it's telling us she is to do the interview again. I think it's either of 2 things...she needs to send the no-impediment or the visa is being sent and they made an error putting it back to ready. Guess I won't know until they respond to my email.

Date changes are good because it means someone touched your case. The status sometimes jumps back and forth. What is the last date it changed to?

Definitely would recommend you emailing them. Because I'm thinking you're gonna have to send in the certificate of non-impediment.

It changed status on May 18th. I think that's when they received my fiance's medical because they didn't have it before. Now the status was updated on May 30th.

  4. Anyone here been approved at the interview and now it's in AP? My fiance did her interview April 30th and was approved. The status has been AP ever since. There was a delay with her medical. Although she did it April 16th it was not sent to the embassy until May 14th. The consular officer didn't receive it until May 18th. When I emailed the embassy they responded the case is under administrative processing and cannot give me an estimate of when a decision will be made. My fiance and I thought after the interview everything was good but now it's another wait...after we waited 9months for our NOA2. This is really disappointing.

Lol...I was curious because you seem to be getting email responses back more quickly than I am.

But that might be the right thing to do for now. Did they at least take her police certificate?

Yea I usually get a reply within 1 business day...sometimes the same day. Yup, they took her police certificate and birth certificate. I'm like they only have to take 3 certificates and still mess up on that. My fiancé is like don't say anything let them go through the paperwork and figure out what they need. I will give them until Thursday then send another email.

I'm gonna tell you don't be surprised if they tell you to send it in. They took all his documents and returned his original BC which is why we're being held up and he had to send it in via DHL. They received it on Friday. It's my understanding they'll need it because it's proof that she's is legally free and able to marry.

I was afraid of that. I thought it weird the officer not only didn't take it from her, he didn't even look at it. We can't send it without them requesting it right?

  7. So our case is still under review as per email I received from Kingston Embassy this morning. My fiancé and I are going over everything wondering if we missed anything. She said the Officer during the interview did not take her certificate of no-impediment. He did not even open the envelope it came in. When she tried to give it to him he said he didn't need it. Did anyone else experience this? I'm wondering if the embassy is going to make her send it....

Reni is at DHL right now and they just opened so I will know in a few minutes. Yesterday, he showed up at DHL and 3:30pm and waited to be seen but at 4pm the DHL worker told him they wouldn't take him because they close at 5 and already had 10 people before him that had to be taken care of. SMH!

So, I just got the tracking # from Reni and they told him it will be there tomorrow because he missed the truck that left this morning already heading to the embassy.

At least we didn't have to pay for the shipping because it's included in the courier cost part of the visa process.

Jamaica is my homeland but this irritates me about there. So they close at 5pm, he gets there at 3:30 and is told he has to come back because they are moving slow??? Only in other countries this can happen. Up here if I go to FedEx or USPS or even the bank and I get in even 1 minute before they close they are going to service me. They are so inconsiderate as if he lives around the corner. He has wasted time and money to get down there now has to turn around and do it all over again the next day? smh Reni must be a very laid back guy because I would of had a fit in there. Then he returns and told the truck going to the embassy left already?? If they would of did their jobs from yesterday it would of been on the truck this morning! I know myself and everyone on VJ saying it will be over soon but they can really try your patience with their foolishness. Anyway I'll continue to keep you two in my prayers and as I said before a lot of ppl commented as soon as the embassy received the missing documents the visa was issued literally a few hours later. I guess depending on what time the officer gets the BC in his hands the visa will be issued tomorrow afternoon or Monday the latest.

I've emailed the embassy about my fiancé's medical and they still say they haven't received it. When my fiancé calls Andrews Memorial the nurse continues to say she already sent it. We're just waiting and hoping we can hear something by next week. I have memorized the case # now from checking so often like I did the WAC # smh

  9. lol @LabOz you are on point! @Trinab80 its better that you didn't say anything. Yea its annoying and frustrating to be delayed further but God only knows if she would of sabotage ya'll paperwork out of spite. Its better its something minor that can easily be corrected and you guys can move on to another chapter of your lives. These officers are suppose to be impartial but they are human and capable of spiteful shyt. How long is it going to take the BC to get from mobay to the embassy?

  10. only consolation I can give is other VJ members received their visa immediately after submitting "missing" paperwork. I can't even get mad anymore. We've been lied to, also had to return to Kingston twice because they claim "they saw something on her x-ray" whatever that meant...which come to find out means they messed up her x-ray so she had to return to do them again. I'm grateful that I do receive replies to my emails from the embassy within 24hours. I'm glad I've stayed on top of it or we also would be in AP forever waiting on the medical that was so-called sent last week *side eye*. I'm going to send an email everyday until they tell me they have the medical and still praying they don't need any "missing" documents

I've been checking this CEAC case tracker all morning long and still in AP status. Reni is pretty much packed and just waiting for DHL to send us the tracking #. This waiting is killing me!

You telling me! I just hope the status is updated online. USCIS still has our case as "received" smh so I don't put a lot of faith in online updates. I sent an email just now so once I hear something back I think Ii will breathe easier.

  12. I think our ppl are good to fly out themselves. I've been reading every post I can about AP status and most got it within 2 weeks of interview approval. You were confident about me buying my fiance plane ticket in June so stay strong and positive. You kept my hopes up so please don't falter now when we are so close! We got this. My fiance and I basing our timeline off of yours lol we think you and Reni will get the visa by this Thursday or before. We estimate ours coming the following Monday.

Just make sure when she goes back to the hospital she lets them know she has been approved by the embassy already and if they can rush her x-rays to them so she can get her visa issued. You might not have to cancel her flight but just stay on top of them.

Ok. I told her make sure she brings proof she did her MMR so they won't call her back to the medical a third time for the vaccine. They didn't do a hep b vaccine, does she need it? I am second guessing their judgement with the mistakes they're making at the medical
