  1. I just sent in my husbands AOS application and it was received on 6/14. I realized I incorrectly put a6 instead of c9 on the EAD application. We haven’t received the notice of receipt yet, I’ve read that I should send a letter requesting the change from a6 to c9 to be made with a copy of the receipt notice. I wanted to see if anyone had any additional suggestions and/or expierence with this? I really don’t want us to get denied for EAD and then have to wait another 3 months !

    Hey good Marchies!

I come from the September forum to join you guys here! We were approved 22. March:wub:

I have a question regarding the DS-160, I think I've seen it on here but I can't seem to find it now.

I'm wondering about the question "Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services? "

Am I meant to put "Yes" and then as explanation just write our WACno. or something, or should I leave it blank?

When i filled it out for my fiancee, i put no. The way i read the question, it excludes the current application/process we're going through. They know we're filing the petition now so i think they want to know if there were any other prior times.

If you don't mind me asking....what do you mean by the "electronic group"?

When you call NVC, once they have your case they'll tell you if you need to call back and press option 5. This means you're in the electronic group and it's embassy based and means they will send your case to the embassy electronically and they will have it same day. It does take longer for this group to get a case number so at this point I'd rather be in the regular group.

    NOA2 March 2

I just called, still no case number... it's been 23 days. This feels personal. Anyone else in my shoes?

Me. NOA2 2/27, NVC received 3/16 and still no case number. I haven't seen anyone in the electronic group take over 7 days. I did see some people get their case number on the 8th day so the 6th business day from NVC receive date and I'm on the 6th business day. If I don't have it today I'm going to ask to speak to someone who can tell me what's going on with my case, if it's even been touched. It's going to be a month since NOA2 tomorrow!

No, I was told this by a visa blogger, that's what the NVC does. Could Administrative Processing mean scanning petitions to go abroad?

They don’t do this to Fiancè visas.. I’ve read that 1% get told they’re in AP for a Fiancè visa and that may be because uscis didn’t process something correctly. Whoever told you that was most likely talking about CR1 visas which is the marriage visa.. NVC is a much bigger stage for them than for us. They scan every case to send to embassy and that’s not referred to as AP.

    me..

Let me know when you call again today what they say! It seems from what I've read they assign case #s in the morning. I haven't seen anyone say they got theirs in the afternoon but I haven't asked too many people haha
