Well, I attempted to call this morning but the lines are too busy I guess. But, my fiance did get notification that we have our case number! I checked, it's in transit!

I do still have to keep calling though, as I've been calling to get my address changed before it hits the embassy level. Thankfully, my old landlord is being less of a jerk than normal and has said he would hold my packet for me if it arrives there, rather than send it back like he has with the few straggling pieces of mail. Good day today! Hopefully with them being open some more cases will be on the move!

For the Canadians, I believe because Montreal is on the digital version of the process, maybe all cases get expedited, as ours was as well!

Congrats! Where did your fiance get the notification? My fiancee has been calling all morning to no avail.

Glad to know someone else is still waiting and we're not alone. Our case was received March 7th and I've called daily since and they haven't had a case number for us. I thought it could be due to the weather, but other people seem to be getting assigned case numbers the last days just fine :(

Hoping tomorrow is the day for us!

Hang in there! We're going to have those numbers this very same week. Just keep an eye on this thread so you know when to call. Also, if you have any updates please let us know!

Every embassy is different. I did the DS-160 and scheduled the interview. But in order for my fiancé to do his medical we need the NVC letter. 😩😩

Hey, Elix! My interview will be at the Dominican Republic embassy as well. I'm still waiting for my case number, just wondering starting what date can you schedule the interview? Is it a month delay or more? Thank you!

I called NVC today and they hadn't received my case after 13 days, so I then called USCIS. I waited for a Tier II callback. Tier II told me a shipment with my application in it went out on the 27th and that it should arrive at NVC by this week.

If you are feeling your NVC number is taking long, calling USCIS to see if yours shipped helps ease the wait.

This is really good information since we're from the same day. Just wondering, how did you get in contact with a Tier II? My fiancee called today and they have no idea if the package was sent to NVC since is not updated online. Should she request talking to a Tier II as soon as the pick up the phone? Thank you and please keep us updated.

Yes - there is an end of day one but bear in mind that’s california end of day. That is about 10pm east coast time. I’ll be fast asleep in bed by then as I teach kindergarten and I’m usually fast asleep by 9!!! It’s always awesome to wake up to it though!!

Awesome! Haha yeah, but it's encouraging to know that we're getting so close. And thank you do much for the post! Is it okay if I get excited now or should I wait next week?

HOT OFF THE PRESS PEOPLE!!!!  That’s 2 July 26th approvals!! I can hardly stand the excitement. Maybe just maybe by next week we will see a definite and steady stream of August cases! The next few weeks I might end up being more impatient than ever ( if that possible!!!) Thanks again @JSCGPV for all your incredible hard work in a daily basis for bringing us these updates

WOW! And this is just the midday scan? So we should expect another scan later tonight, right?

  7. Is it weird that I've been reading every single post on this forum and haven't said a single word? Lol

    120 days here

Just dropped my fiancée at the airport. I feel like throwing myself at the ocean

We're so close people! Let's keep the good vibes. This forum is the only thing keeping us going. We can do this together ❤️

It would help if you filled out your timeline - different countries tend to think of things differently, plus it will connect with you with others from your area and help with tracking statistics and timelines.

Your question - it would likely depend on how many times you visited each other before, and if your case has any factors that may make it more difficult - be it from the countries involved, age differences, religious differences, etc.

If you have solid proof of many visits and a long ongoing relationship, it would be fine to wait until the interview (it's difficult, we all know) but if you only had 1 visit with a lot of other factors, more visits may help your case.

Thank you so much for your advice. We've seen each other 6 times in 2 years. We have everything in our favor since we have proof for every visit and I've known her since I was 15. We share same beliefs and race. I'm 25 she's 22. She's Puerto Rican I'm from Dominican Republic. The waiting is hell but we understand that money is really important since I won't be able to work for about 4 months. We don't want this to be used against us.

Editing because I had a senior moment.

If you can visit each other, great! If not, it may or may not be a big deal depending on your circumstances, but likely it will not be a problem (example: if the beneficiary is from a MENA country, the more visits, the better).

Thank you for the fast reply. We could see each other tomorrow if we wanted to but we would rather wait and save more money. My question is more related to if it would be seeing as bad the fact that we can see each other but spent 7 months straight without doing so.

  10. Hello, everyone! I've recently joined this forum and it has been of great help.  I have a particular question and I would like to know what you guys think.

We sent our petition for K-1 visa on August 2nd of this current year and we've not seeing each other since May 2017.  We've noticed the delay for NOA-2 and apparently it'd take until January. My question is: Would it look bad for us to sit and wait until the interview to see each other again? We're currently saving but we don't want this to be something that could be used against us. Thank you in advance.
