Nafisa & Bryce got a reaction from DBR in July 2017 I-129F Filers
July 10th filer, we just received an email from our attorney showing our NOA2 (dated January 27th)!!! No update on the app, and I still haven't received my copy. In fact, I had just come home from checking the mail and being upset that there was nothing from USCIS when my fiance messaged me with the good news (he got to the email quicker) and I jumped up and down, laughed, then cried. Jumping may not have been the best choice for someone who is 9 months pregnant, but I don't care. We are one step closer to being together as a family <3 I hope good news comes to all of you soon, as well!!

GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got an informed delivery notification this morning and there's something with page 1 of 1 coming for me today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw the e-mail and I'm not kidding I almost fainted dead away. I'm still shaking violently and choking back tears.
Called Tiger and woke him up to tell him.
Has "page 1 of 1" ever meant anything but approval to anyone's knowledge?
7/17 NOA1, website still says case received.

That must be very disheartening :-( I hope your NOA2 comes today-that's way too long!! Our estimate started out in October and just kept getting pushed back until about two weeks ago when it stayed at jan 24-27. I think we would be dealing with things a little better if we weren't expecting a baby, every day we wait is longer our family is apart. I can imagine it is a similar feeling for anyone else with kids in this situation. We try to make the best of things as they are, but I suppose we all have good days and bad days. Hoping today is a good one for all of us still waiting!!!

Well...unless our NOA2 is one of those in the mail without any online update, our timeline estimate was wrong too. According to VJ, should have been adjudicated between 1/24 and 1/27. It is really difficult to not be discouraged and lose hope at this point, especially with our little one coming so soon :-( It doesn't help knowing others are still waiting, too...I wish for everyone to be with their loved ones ASAP. This is taking much longer than it should. Praying for good news for all this week!!

Thanks, I wondered if any came earlier than VJ estimated. I’ve seen lots of posts from people passing their estimates, that’s interesting. Congrats on the NOA2, hopefully the next stage goes quickly for you!

Congratulations!!! We are July 10th as well, this gives me hope that we won't be waiting forever :-) My fiance and I are expecting our first baby in just a few weeks, it would be amazing to hear something before he is born (even though it will likely be a few more months until we can be together as a family :-( )

Nafisa & Bryce got a reaction from AshMarty in HELLPP! No phone records because we only use FaceTime!!
Congratulations!! Primary evidence is much more important (passport stamps or i94 records showing visits, boarding passes, hotel and gift receipts, things that show you’ve actually met), but our attorney also included a few screenshots of messenger history from each month. I sent them tons of messages from our chat logs, and the ones they chose were conversations about our visits, about our plans to get married, about our visa process, etc. not just random conversations but things that backed up the primary evidence. I assume screenshots of FaceTime call logs and texts would be fine too. All the best to you!

Nafisa & Bryce got a reaction from Jeto in Police check for Australian who lived in Canada for 2 years (2012-2014)
Update: My fiancé got his Canadian police certificate today, so it took about 4 weeks for him from the time he sent his fingerprints with the expedited shipping to Canada (nothing to report, i imagine if there was it would've taken longer). All the best to you, hope you get your NOA2 soon :-)

Nafisa & Bryce reacted to janet3 in Is anyone else so emotionally drained from the K-1 process that they want to forgo a proper wedding (with ceremony & reception) and just go to the courthouse instead?
I returned from Algeria last night at midnight (after traveling for 30 hours). I went to my fiance's interview with him (the interview was on the 25th of October, I applied for the k1 on February 2, 2017, waited on the NOA2 for 169 days, then waited on an interview for 2 months). I am exhausted. I just want my fiance here with me. I do not care about weddings or venues or guests or dresses (cake would be nice...I love cake). I am sure at this point in my life...the wedding isn't important....it's the marriage that matters.

Nafisa & Bryce reacted to Kat&Joel in Is anyone else so emotionally drained from the K-1 process that they want to forgo a proper wedding (with ceremony & reception) and just go to the courthouse instead?
I consider myself a bit lucky as both my partner and I decided we didn't want to deal with the stress of planning a big wedding. Unfortunately my emotional state isn't good enough to be able to go through that. The money involved is also a big factor. We are going to do something really small and maybe have a small reception. We have to sell our house and our belonging and worry about our finances running out before we move. We are transporting 2 cats and a dog with us to Utah so that's going to be a mission as well. There is so much stress involved in getting moved that the wedding part needs to be very low stress. I'd say that's the one part of this that I'm not disappointed about.
I do have to say that the surprise additional 3 -4 months has been very stressful for recent filers. There wasn't any way to predict that the process would be delayed by that long. Some people have their lives on hold completely and lengthening the time is absolutely excruciating. There really isn't a good way to tell people to just be positive about this. I think the better option is to acknowledge how stressful this is and encourage people to hang in there. This isn't a delightful situation for anybody.

Nafisa & Bryce reacted to VisaCode in Please help!!!
Wow, I know I'm new here but the sanctimony on this site is off the charts. You don't know this person's story or situation. Maybe they're a woman, in which case having family find out you've had premarital sex can be deadly in some cases. Ever heard of honor killings? How about just answer the OP's question and keep the judgement to yourself?
