Packet 3 arrived today!

Got a quick question for those in the know. As my finace is in the UK with me and will be until the interview, we are concerned of where we get the Affidavit of support notorised

.

We read:

If you are outside the United States, the affidavit

must be sworn to or notice affirmed before a U.S.

consular or immigration officer.

Does anyone know where I can go to get this done in the Uk? Can it be done at the interview?

If you are on the 2 year restriction as far as I am aware, you cannot apply for a K1. So I believe you will have to wait till nov 07 Sorry

But I may be wrong!

They dont keep K1's on the automated system

Thanks - I know it takes up to 40 days too Just wanted to make sure no receipt would be given

I sent out my police record check last week and was just wanting to confirm something.

As I am not in London, or ever lived in London, I was to send it to my local Police HQ, which is in Cumbira:

Do you get a receipt from them at all upon delivery?

Looking at DHL tracking, I'd say mine left the NVC today despitet hem saying the 15th

wow! I didn't realise people waited that long!

I called at:

5pm EST and 10am EST and was through very quick!

Ah your receipt number was XXX 111 111 1111 too?

Congrats! Ours was delivered on the 14th

I called twice in the end!

Once on the 14th and they told me it was recieved that day, and once on the 16th and they said it was sent on the 15th!

15 mins later I got the email

I had almost zero waiting on both calls. 1st was about 4 mins (Total call was 6 mins 30) second call was straight through!

Just looking back on this process so far, I am very happy I found VJ!!

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC has completed its processing of the visa petition you mentioned in your letter and has forwarded the petition to the assigned US Embassy/Consulate General for further processing on March 15, 2007.

Any further inquiries should be directed to the assigned US Embassy or Consulate General.

My case has now left the NVC and is on it's way to London!!!!!

I was lucky enough to file at vermont. There are people MUCH quicker than me too! I think someone clocked 3 days, they didn't even get an NOA1!!!

The NOA1 is simply a recepit to say "we have it - thanks"

Mistakes are not looked at at this stage

I am guessing you have your case number?

I called 30 mins ago and got through in about 4 mins I believe. Then 1 minute conversation to say it was recieved today and will be sent out soon

Just called, they recieved it today and said it should be sent out in a week or two....

Seems a pretty standard response....?
