I had my medical on Tuesday and that went smoothly Just the interview left on the 29th!

I just called the NVC and my petiton is still in the US going through administrative review. I got my letter from the NVC on 3/14. I just new it would be in Accra by now.

YEah when I booked they told me as of April 2nd the price has gone up to £170...

Did you go to USCIS' site to download them or the London embassy's site?

Yeah, all from their own website... There is no informational about new forms anywhere, and I read somewhere here that they thought it was ok!

If I remember, the embassy slows down at this time of the year as there is an increase of educational visas, summer workers and all sorts of J1'ers....

I sent my packet 3 with the checklist, so we'll see what happens...

You don't get any forms with the Packet 3, just information of where to get them. Which is why I worried now because ALL the forms online have expired?!

I have just noticed that the DS 230, DS 156K and DS 157 are all expired from the London Embassy download site:

I have already filled and sent these in - should that be a problem? Anyone else done that?

When you fill out the DS-156 you do it online and when it's complete it generates a PDF for you with a barcode and other info for the embassy.

Hmmmmmmn. What to do, what to do....

Having sent off my Packet 3, I was just looking through the checklist and saw something that confused me slightly.

Under Step one it states:

DS-156, "nonimmigrant Visa Application", In Duplicate

What exactly does it mean "in duplicate?

Tried a search and couldn't find anything. Could someone clear this up for me?

As for me, we have an appointment to pick up packet 3, at which time my fiance will be giving them the DS230. I have all of the financial docs, although I haven't notarized the I134 yet, and all of the DS forms filled out.

My fiance went today to pick up his police record, but he also has to get the No-Impediment form.

We can't schedule the medical until they give us an interview date, which they won't until he turns in the DS230.

Packet 3 (part 1) has been sent back (all the DS forms) and just checking the boxes for the checklist which will be sent on Wednesday I guess

Hmmn, I sent mine on the 15 Marchth and heard nothing, no receipt nor has the cheque cashed... I sent it by post to the Met (I called and double checked that was correct)...

I have no idea why it gets sent that way. The mind boggles

I got an e-mail from the NVC saying it was sent on the 15th, and then 2 actual letters, one saying the 16th and then another saying the 17th!

The first tracking number that fitted my criteria (London) was on the 18th... I got the 'packet 3' 10 days after that was delivered

Yes - Rush tour this summer!! :D I already have my tickets. Chas and me (plus a girlfriend of mine) are meeting some other Rush fans down in San Antonio to see that gig together. Its on August 12th. We're so damn excited. Chas and I met on a Rush message board, so to be able to see them together? We're ecstatic about it.

Is it weird that I am doing that and foregoing a 'wedding'? (You are NOT required to answer that...!)

I would also rather walk out of the embassy knowing... I can't wait for that day! So maybe I'll wait a little bit before sending it back... Am I right in saying that the packet 3 is sent back in 2 different parts? I am sure I have seen that question asked before but couldn't find it again - I think it was embedded in another topic somewhere!? The 2 parts being the DS Forms online, and then secondly when you have collected all the information required and are ready to schedule an interview?

Just a quick question, if that's ok

I recieved my Packet 3 on Wednesday, but haven't been able to have a proper look until today. Given my current situation, I am very busy until the 30th April which is ideally when I would like to schedule the medical. Once scheduled, I will send back the packet on Monday and contact the Embassy regarding the interview date once it is recieved. Does the Embassy require a certain time have passed between the medical and the interview? Obviously they won't offer the visa until the medical checks out, but will they only schedule the interview say a month after the medical?

I have been searching to find the answer but get mixed results such as having the medical one day and the interview the next. Surely that is not enough time? Wonder if someone could clear this up?

Just trying to time plan the best I can for idea times
