  1. Ok, mine was sent to VSC on the 19th, arrived 20th, check cashed on the 24th, and today I received my Biometrics appointment (notice date, 1st September) for the 25th September.

I'm going to need my NOA1 to renew my drivers license, but it looks like I am not getting one :(

What'd I tell ya!!?? ;) Oh ye of little faith. Ha. I don't even have bio yet so you're already ahead of us! :D What was the date on your NOA1?

Haha I will listen to you more in the future! But that's the thing - I don't have a NOA1 :( Just the biometrics letter...

  2. Sent ours in today - thinking positive thoughts right now!

  3. Wow, only just got time after getting back from vacation to get all my documents together and will be sending it off tomorrow! That leaves 73 days in my window...

We found this pretty hard this time around as we feel our evidence is a little weak. This is due to us living with my wife's parents who own the house that we all live in together as we are currently looking for our own place...

    Our evidence is as follows:

    • Copies of My Passport and Permanent Resident Card

    • Marriage certificate

    • Three sworn affidavits and one letter by US citizen friends/family attesting to our relationship and marriage (one from my in-laws whose house we live in stating that fact)

    • Copies of our Federal Tax Returns from 2007 and 2008

    • Copies of our State Tax Returns from 2007 and 2008

    • Copies of W2’s and 1099’s from 2007 and 2008 showing our shared address

    • Three Copies of Bank statements for our joint checking and savings accounts, from 2007, 2008 and 2009

    • Copies of various notices from our shared car insurance policy throughout our marriage

    • Copies of our individual health insurance plans addressed to the same address

    • Copies of car titles showing our shared address at home

    • A copy of airline reservations for multiple vacations including the United Kingdom and San Francsico, CA

    • Copies of Bording passes from a trip to the UK in December 2008 and San Francisco in May 2008

    • Copies of various holiday cards we have received since being married

    • Copies of various tickets from events we have gone to together

    • 20 photographs taken of us from 2007 to 2009 during our marriage

I hope that will be good enough!

  4. Hello there fellow 'Removing of conditions in August' people!

Figured I would start a topic for all us August filers to keep in touch.

My 90 day window begins on the 4th August as my Green Card expires on the 1st November 2009.

Unfortunately I cannot file until the 17th August as we are away on vacation from tomorrow onwards. That still leaves us with about 75 days in the window if we overnight it to the VSC. It bothers me that we can't file it exactly 90 days before, but it's the best we can do...

So who else is with me?

  5. Cool! Did you have any touches lately before your approval? I've not had any since Nov. 2 after a straight week of daily touches and am wondering what's going on over there. Our timelines and cases seem similar enough that I thought it opportune to ask you. :)

I had daily touches till the 3rd (or 4th?). Then nothing!

I just happened to check today and it had been updated to the above message. No emails yet lol

  6. Hi Tony. This is what happened to me. My AOS was approved a week before I took a trip to Canada. The day after I left the US, my greencard arrived in the mail. Twice, I crossed the border back into the US during that trip using my AP, even though I had a greencard sitting at home in the US. I was processed through exactly the same way as before I'd been approved. So not to worry. It's not going to be a problem.

    Ah excellent - thanks!

And I got approved today :) I doubt it will arrive before I leave, so looks like we are in the same boat!

  7. Woohoo!

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    Current Status: Card production ordered.

On November 8, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

    Sweet!

  8. Ok, strange question. I have had my travel planned back to the UK with my wife for my graduation in 2 weeks time for about a month now (since the day my AP papers came through).

My AOS got transfered to CSC and has been touched constantly for the past week and I fear it is going to get approved (sounds stupid?) before I travel. So, my predicment is that I feel my green card is going to be approved just before or while I am travelling, and not have the card in hand while travelling if that makes sense. Is this a problem?! Having my AOS approved and uisng my AP papers? So when I enter the US and the guys at POE see in their system I have a green card but not with me....?

Can anyone help me with this question?

    Thanks!

    Tony
