Oh cool, hey! Looks like our filing dates are only a few days apart so we'll probably receive our notification on the same day! If you're planning to travel after the interview, are you planning to ask for the oath ceremony to be delayed?

Yeah we probably would get the same date!

I think mine will be delayed anyway since I requested a name change along with my citizenship application (technically just spelling change), I don’t think they’d offer same day oath in this case. If for some reason they will be able to do it the same day I’d ask for a later date!

Interviews from my understanding were waived most likely due to the pandemic- though now as things are coming back to normal it was a ####### shoot on who got interviewed and who is waived as prior to the pandemic. So far I think I am the only one who posted an actual interview- and no it’s not a fraud concern flagged interview nor have I heard of such - can you elaborate where you might have seen that?

Oh it wasn’t official information, just speculation. Sorry if it sounded rude, definitely didn’t mean your case was suspicious or anything!

Wow it seems like LIN is really waking back up! There was just a MASSIVE backlog of Biometrics Waivers which were cleared for those of us from Mid-Nov through Dec. and now it seems like they are getting on to approving people! Did they not waive your biometrics or if so when did they waive it?

Mine were waived back in December! I hope they really are moving faster than expected

  4. Hello!

I’d be very thankful if somebody could share info.

I moved to the US on fiancé visa, got my first green card in January 2019, and was working part time, then full time. All official, paid all the taxes. Now I’m laid off for 12 weeks, everyone know why.

So I’m not sure if I can file for benefits because of my temporary unemployment. My wife signed affidavit of support for me, so I can’t figure out if in this particular weird world mess I’m allowed to do so.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hi Guys,

we finally got our interview letter and we are scheduled for the 2nd of May for our interview, just a quick question will it be safe to travel on a conditional green card to foreign country? I mean can they still have an obligation at the port of entry if your green card is conditional?

I just came back from my trip to Russia. The officer just asked me where I went, how long the trip was, and what I was doing there, and then I was good to go. My travel passport and green card are on different last names, but he didn’t ask me about that (I had my marriage certificate with me just in case). So you must be good!

    Me too!

Sounds great. I have totally skipped the whole getting a license here thing, just haven't been motivated to go to the DMV when we don't even have a car. I should at least get myself a learner's permit - is that what you have?

I'm good, still interviewing. I've had my combo card for quite some time but I initially pursued one thing and then changed my mind. So I've had to rethink and it's all been taking quite some time. It's not in my nature to be picky, I'm more of a safety first type of person, but my husband thinks that I have a perfect moment to pursue what I actually want to pursue and he's right. So here I am! Not ideal for the finances, but probably good for my future.

Yes, I took the knowledge test and have the learner’s permit! Quite scared to drive, I’ve never done it before haha.

Oh I think that’s nice that you can be some kind of picky about your future job, it’s better than get a place and than regret it..

I have this dream that they'll just send me my card in the mail one day. That happened to a girl here in NYC last year, after about four or five months.

So happy they picked you! Must feel great to be done with them for a while. Congratulations :)

    Everything going smooth otherwise?

I hope you’ll get your card interviewless then!!

Everything is going well! I’m attending some classes at our community college (just for myself, no diploma or something), learning to drive, preparing resume, that kind of things! What about you? Do you have your combo card? (I have troubles checking people’s timelines from my phone)

    My status just change to:

Card Was Picked Up By The United States Postal Service

On January 16, 2019, the Post Office picked up mail containing your new card for Receipt Number MSC***. We mailed your card to the address you gave us. The tracking number assigned is ***. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools

Yayyy! Congrats! You see, no trust in online status..

This is so fascinating. Im october filer and my case went too fast too. i had my interview before you but we're not approve on the spot IO just gave us a copy of piece of paper of recommendation of approval..my status still "interview was completed and case must review"

Question: is your ead/ap status online says "CASE IS CLOSE CASE RECEIVED BENEFITS BY OTHER MEANS" before or after your status became card being produce?

    Thanks

My ead/ap status didn't change, it still says "Fingerprint review was completed" for ead and "Case was received" for ap. I think they might stay the same and never change, online status is quite an unreliable source, I think..
