It is awful to know about others being approved so quickly; it can really make your blood boil. My advice would be: avoid checking it at all costs, as it does no good. Stick to USCIS updates, including the date when you can finally make an inquiry on your case.

On another note, I saw an old post from November where you inquired regarding your vaccinations records. Indeed it should be marked on part 2, as you completed the vaccinations requirements. If you haven't sorted it out already, maybe you could look into it now.

In the meantime, you could study something online or do some handiwork around your house.

Just know you're not alone in this wait. Hope you get some good news soon.

Thank you! I got the vaccination record sorted out but I know that my office will ask for a new one when it's time for interview. I have been keeping myself as busy as possible including volunteering 2-3 times a week and making sure our home is immaculate but obviously it's a big change going from university/work life to a stay-at-home wife😂 The wait has caused me to get slightly depressed which in return has made us argue more and I know I'm being super unfair to my husband. After all, I love him more than anything and he works sooo hard to provide for both of us right now. I guess I just needed to feel that I'm not alone. Thank you again!

  2. Guys, I'm seriously at my breaking point ☹️ 200 days since NOA, no movement on AP or EAD and AOS has been on 'Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview' status since May 1st (processing time at our office is 12-22 months. The wait has really caused my husband and I to fight a lot more because I'm just sooo done with sitting at home and feeling like I'm wasting my life away...plus it's a bit of a struggle financially. Just wish I didn't know about these lucky ones from February and March filers who have received their combo cards and green cards already 😌 how do you all keep your spirit up?

I have been so depressed lately that I have not even been able to think about wedding plans or anything.  Now that they are on July and there is hope that NVC might be speeding up a bit, I am feeling so much more willing to start thinking about those things again.  I can't set a wedding date because I want to get married within the first week (we have been waiting too long already), but now I can shop with my daughter for an outfit and call the tea room and the court house to plan the logistics for whenever the date will be.  I would like to have an afternoon tea party with all the cute little sandwiches and ask about whether we should have a cupcake display, a small cake, or cookies, or what people usually do.  That tea room in Rhode Island gets five stars.  My fiance is Egyptian and he thought that idea was so silly and he thought the word quiche was pronounced the same as quickie.  It was hilarious!  It is awesome to have some excitement again!  I also want to get flowers for my mother and daughter even if it is just a courthouse.  I won't have any.  I only plan to have my parents and my three children.  I hope all of our dreams come true (I mean all of us on this forum no matter what month we filed and for what visa).

An afternoon tea party after the ceremony sounds absolutely lovely! Where's my invite? jk :D I might actually steal that idea! And we all know how much it sucks to be away from our loved fiance(e)s BUT that shouldn't make us stop feeling excited about getting married to them really soon!! So YASSSSS to the dress and flower shopping ;)

Hello all, I received the NOA1 on August 17 and still waiting for NOA2 just like everyone else. Cannot say enough how frustrating this is. My fiance is in Egypt and I haven't seen here since we got engaged back in July of 2017. We have set our wedding date for July 22, 2018 thinking it would be plenty of time to get everything processed and approved. Does anyone have any valuable information on how long things currently take at NVC then at the consulate of Egypt? We are contemplating pushing our wedding date back.

Our wedding date is set for July 22nd as well because it will be our second anniversary then...what a lovely coincidence! :D We are an August 31st filer so really wishing us all lots of patience and luck...and not having to move the planned wedding date!

  5. So I have a question about the amount of money one should have when entering the states (probably asked a million times...). I am a recent graduate and won't start my new job until December, therefore I have only couple of hundred of dollars on my account right now. I am going to visit my man for two months this October. My family and fiance are willing to transfer some money to my account...but the question is: How much money do you reckon I should have for a two month visit that would satisfy the border patrol?

PS! I do understand that there is no certain amount but let's say if I have around 1000 Dollars...does that sound like enough?

    Thanks lovelies! xxxxx
