Thurs Feb 1 - travel Colorado to El Paso to Cuidad Juarez
Friday Feb 2- medical exam 0600am  Fingerprinting 2:00 pm  3:00pm pick up medical results
Saturday Feb 3 - Waiting in/around hotel
Sunday Feb 4 - Waiting in/around hotel
Monday Feb 5- waiting in/around hotel (national holiday)
Tuesday Feb 6- waiting in/around hotel
Wed Feb 7- 09:15 Interview (approved) exited building 4.5 hrs after interview time
Thursday Feb 8 - waiting in/around hotel (CEAC updated to "issued")
Friday Feb 9- waiting in/around hotel
Sat Feb 10- waiting in/around hotel
Sunday Feb 11- waiting in/around hotel
Monday Feb 12- waiting in/around hotel
Tuesday Feb 13- waiting in/around hotel still.....
 
I share this as I thought it important that people allow some extra time in planning before and AFTER the interview.(no matter which consulate you are going to have interview at)  I thought we were in good shape as many have said they get their visa packets pretty quick after their interview approvals. (even our legal  counsel advised us 2-3 days post interview) I saw it as a max trip of 8 days yet after 13 days away from work , I am finding this not to be true. I have watched MANY people basically get "kicked out" of their hotel rooms (which happens to us tomorrow btw) while waiting. I share this with you all that are in the planning stages of your trips (time away from work, hotel reservations, money planning, etc) Keep in mind that this was a straightforward case with NO complications. The packet issuance doesn't seem to have any rhyme or reason to it ? We are still here yet have seen people receive their packets that interviewed after my wife.

We do a pretty good job at keeping up our timeline. feel free to take a look to get a rough idea of what you are looking at time wise. I can tell you that case complete with NVC was Oct 19, 2017 and interview didn't happen until 2-07-2018. Please keep in mind that you wont even make it past the entry guards without the police clearance letters. We watched many, many people getting rejected before they ever even made it inside. Made me sad.......

We had interview Tuesday and received passport on Thursday. So 2 days.. thank God.

Received phone call from our attorney yesterday afternoon. Package ready for pick-up (They conveniently only put their e-mail address to be notified) 
 
Picked-up this morning (FYI our handout referring to paying Immigration Fee did not have numbers filled in...they were left black)
Used the VISA page to get numbers...
 
Fee Paid :-) Will be going to get the entry stamp later this afternoon

Today Hubby was finally approved. Visa status changed to issued. I am super excited it's finally over.

We have a 7Feb interview date at Cuidad Juarez, MEX . I checked  CEAC is still shows "AT NVC". I called them and the NVC call taker stated that it has NOT been mailed yet and to "wait a little bit longer"

Super ! I will be following your updates as my wife's medical exam and biometrics are Feb 2 Cuidad Juarez .  We have been pretty stressed out with what happened with all the delays in Oct,Nov,Dec. I REALLY appreciate your updates and your info will help us kind of figure out how things are going in recent history. I will look forward to hearing how long after approval you actually receive visa in hands.. Best wishes to you guys !

Hello everyone just wanted to update on my husband's case. We have been in CDJ since Wednesday. My husband had his medical on Thursday which was super fast and he only paid around 260 no shots needed as he went in the U.S. before we came. Later that day we went to get his police certificate which was a fast process just make sure to ask when you get there. (I was also informed by someone that he might need the police certificate from the state where he was born let's pray they take this one). Now waiting for my husband as he is getting his finger prints done. Tuesday is the deciding day praying God for a happy ending. My birthday is Monday so that's all I want for my birthday. For us to simply go home as we came together. 

Hello everyone just checking in we have been in Juarez since Wednesday my husband did his fingerprints yesterday Thursday we got there early but they ask you to line up about 10 minutes before your appointment there are a lot of people but is a rather fast process and today at 6am we were at the clínica médica internacional for his medical check he got 4 shots and in total he paid $420 US dollars we were there for about 1 hour 45 minutes all together and later today around 2:30pm we go back for the results

Got Police Cert. on Tuesday; It took all day as there was a very long line, and when we got to the front of the line only to be told payments were supposed to be made first and in a separate line  
 
Got Medical Yesterday, 4 shots and $445 USD.

omg 😯 i just called nvc a few minutes ago and finally i had been schedule interview to GUATEMALA yesss

So finally the visa journey is over, after 11.5 months (NOA1 JAN 19th 2017) i got the passport back with the VISA today!!
