Hi! We got zero questions about this at our interview and we filed I-864 + I-864A. We brought the financial information for that (taxes, w2s which we filed too) but it wasn’t asked either. She had our file there with all that. The officer mostly wanted OUR (husband + wife) financial info such as joint taxes, bills and those documents.

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't updated in a while. I'm happy to report that we had our interview last month, and two weeks ago, I GOT MY GREEN CARD! 
 
The interview went really smoothly, but took longer than I had expected (about 40 minutes). We went through all the 485 questions all over again (that took the most amount of time). The officer didn't ask us much about our relationship - just how we met and became a couple. She took all our evidence of financial co-mingling (lease etc.), but she didn't even want to see the photos we brought with us! At the end, she smiled and said it looked very promising. Checked the USCIS site when we reached home, and my card was in production.  
 
Thanks everyone for making this such a supportive space. To those who are still waiting - it'll happen eventually! I hope you don't have much longer to wait. I'll definitely still be around this forum and checking in on how everyone's cases are going.

Omg guys! I know it’s been a while and I was kind of scared after our long interview (30-40 minutes, from B2 visa) back in April and RFE for an updated medical. We sent that this past Monday and I can’t believe today I woke up and saw a text message “your case (I-485) has been updated” and I was like aaaah! Let’s see... and I found that:
 
”Your greencard is being produced” !!

FINALLY!! After a long ### wait and some processing errors the greencard phase is over for us!! 
 
It seriously feels awesome and I truly hope everyone here gets to feel this genuine excitement of being done with this paperwork and start a more normal life in this country with your loved one(s).

Hey @little immigrant that's correct We went to the interview knowing that there was a chance of the IO giving us a RFE to redo my medical.

The logic was to only redo it if we were certain that we would need it (it could save us ~US$600 if we didn't need a new one), and the IO is the only one who has the answer -- we also discussed this with a T2 officer just to make sure.

Once at the interview, one of the first things the IO mentioned was about redoing my medical.

Some IOs give you a RFE right there, some others mail it to you, which was our case and took a little longer to come in the mail (a week maybe?).
 
We received the I-130 approval before sending the new medicals (about a week later after the interview) and the I-485 approval shortly after they received the updated form. Not sure if they always approve the I-130 before the I-485, I guess it all depends on the officer making statuses updates.
 
Chances are you won't be needing a new medical unless your interview comes in super late. My medical was old and needed to include a new test but I think most people here probably won't need to redo it.

Also try "Verifying your current Address" (or other Personal Information) since Tier 1 support doesn't have any personal information from you, they cannot do this without a T2.
I think you mentioned that your communication broke while waiting to be transferred. "Hi, sorry I was being transferred to a T2 officer to verify my (home address/personal data) but the communication broke, could you please transfer me back again?"
It should be enough of a reason to want to verify your personal data and make sure everything is still in order (and in case they wonder why... I don't think this should rise their eyebrows and should be an easy thing to just transfer you).
If you get a very unsupportive T1 rep and you really want an answer, just move quickly to the next one lol. I don't think they keep a record of how many times we call.

yay! congratulations to you! 

AFTER 269 DAYS OF WAITING - WE FINALLY GOT AN EMAIL NOTIFICATION THAT "NEW CARD IS BEING PRODUCED" FOR OUR EAD FINALLYYYYYYYY!
 
It only shows on the USCIS app but looking forward to the next update that it will be sent out! Such a relief that we finally got that notification! 
 
I had contacted the Ombudsman and my Senator and they both had sent the same email saying that we would receive notice of action or decision "shortly" and that literally took about a month until we got this email that our card is being produced. So frustrating but what a relief!

CONGRATS!!! Really glad this is over for you... it was a wild ride!
