    Hello all,

My spouse received her immigrant visa approval on July 31, 2023 under the CR1 category and we have planned her arrival to the US by September 2023. The consular officer gave my spouse a note about the removal of CR1 status, which had the following text - "If at the time of admission to the United States you will not have celebrated the second anniversary of your marriage, you will be granted conditional permanent residence by an officer of USCIS at the time of your admission to the U.S." Based on this can someone please elaborate, if the immigration officers at the port of entry will no longer consider this to be applicable if my spouse traveled to the US after October 2 (our second marriage anniversary date) and that we would not need to file I-751 for removal of CR status? TIA.

This means if by the time he or she enters the US you have not been married for two years, he or she is going to get a Conditional Residence card which will require for you to remove the conditions 90 days before the expiration of the card.

    Hello,

Please, can someone tell me how much cost (amount total)for the medical exam in SD, includes vaccinations?

    Gm,

Consultorios de Visas its 275 for exam and 120 for Vaccinations. Its walkin from 7-11am. Make sure to bring along your NVC Letter or you will not be seen along with the other documents that they request!

Does the beneficiary have to fly out of Santo Domingo? Can they fly out of Punta Cana? (That’s the closest airport to my fiancé)

The beneficiary can fly out of anywhere closer to home. They only have one entry to the US. And flying to US it doesnt matter the airport Im from NJ and my fiance flew through JFK NYC. Easier process and cheaper airline ticket.

    good morning folks!

I have a question,  who knows when expire the Police Certificate, i though was valid for a year or 6 months, and also do the birth certificate expire, the one i have is from March this year and is certified...and also my record i got it in october 15

Well, my husband told me they have a 30 day limit before expiring and getting a new one. Police and Birth Certificates from D.R.

I advise everyone to get those two a few days before your interview appointment , so they are valid.

    Hello all,

Please someone knows WHEN and HOW the embassy will contact for the P4 (appointement letter and medic)? my case is ready since yesterday.

You need to do your profile on ustraveldocs.com. pay ur visa fee and book your VAC and embassy appt allow at least 2 wks between the two so the embassy has your fingerprints and u have ur exam results by the time u go to the embassy appt.

    Hi everyone

for the interview did you or do you plan on taking photos from ALL your trips as proof of relationship? Or is it just proof of relationship AFTER filing the I-129f?

I submitted photos of my trips when I filed, and have only been back once since filing.

I assume they only want to see proof of ongoing relationship after filing . But I would like suggestions 😊 thanks!

    Hello

Bring call logs, actual photos of u and partner plus family members n friends, social media posts, chat logs.. of your ongoing relationship before filing during and after.. I did and it worked out. Depending on the officer know everything about your partner!!! I was asked his shoe size, clothes, likes, dislikes, common interests, what we liked doing together etc.. Yes good luck 😊

Dond do it until past tomorrow! they will send a batch tomorrow sept 18 so ur case shoud change to "IN TRANSIT", so after that is like two days for ready that would be 21 or 22 so dont rescheduled yet give it a couple of days! :D

My outmost honest advice be patient every case is different.. some people go through with it fast while others are slower. Trust me my petition was approved in april NVC received it late June.. and I saw many members doing everything fast!!!

But I can share with all of u my experience and happiness.. my fiance passport is readyyyyyy yeahy at last! Pay attention to your email very important that is the way they comunicate with you.

    Hi,

So, did your fiance get her biometrics done before the case was sent to the Embassy? My fiance has his appointment at the VAC next Tuesday and our case is still at the NVC? I just want to make sure that won't be an issue, since our case isn't "ready" or "in transit" yet.

You need to wait until NVC is done with your petition. They will email you a letter stating that they have sent your petition to SDO. You need to print it and take it to your medical appt or they will not see you. So, until it says Ready do not go further in the process. Once its out of NVC it goes fast. But do not go ahead of yourself. So you do not encounter repayment fees etc...

I waited until my case was sent to the embassy to schedule VAC and Embassy Appointment. NVC emails you when the case is ready at embassy. Because you will need the letter in order to go to your medical.

Thanks for all of that info! Once I get the letter can  I scan it and email it to her, is she allowed to take a copy? Will they email it to me also, or does it come via physical mail only? Thanks again!

Nothing was sent physically to me or my fiance. NVC sends it via email you forward it to ur partner so they can print it. And of course always have a copy for yourself. Another secret do not stress the affidavits have it but they do not ask for it. I believe since its a K1 they dont but you will need it for the adjustment. I stressed so many things and its easier than what I thought. The police certificate you can send for it online they will email u it just print it and have it instead of going to the actual place n waiting. Save time! Do it online more convenient just wait closer to ur embassy appt date to do it.

Thanks for being her to help! My fiancé’s case was approved September 4th, and I have yet to contact the national visa center.  I’ve already scheduled her interview at the Embassy in Santo Domingo for October 25th. However, a much closer interview date opened up. I wanted to reschedule for October 12 but I’m afraid that the the embassy May not have received my case from the NVC by then?

How long does it usually take for the embassy to receive one’s case from the NVC? Do you think scheduling an interview for October 12th is too soon? Thanks !

Hello! They say to wait 8 weeks, but after 2 weeks you should call. Mines was approved in April NVC received it in June. You shouldve waited for NVC to get in touch via email just to be on the safe side. Once you schedule an embassy appointment your visa receipt gets locked meaning you cannot reschedule until they unlock it. Some cases take time while others take less. Once NVC receives your approved petition they are quick because they do not process K1 Visas the embassy of the country u r applying for does. All they do is put it together electronically and its between 4-7 business days. You can check on CEAC for your status. Once its at the embassy it says ready for interview. At that point you make a profile on ustraveldocs and book your VAC appt and Embassy give it like 10 days in between to make sure they have ur results because for medical is walk in no appt necessary. I had my fiance do the VAC in the am and from there get the medical done. So, when it was time for the embassy appt everything was there. FYI: for the medical you will need your NVC letter do not forget that or you will not be seen a lot of people were turned down for not bringing it..

I love to help because I had a hard journey with this process so if i can shine some light on others it will be of great pleasure to tell you... good luck 😊

ahhh ok i understand, so lets see im still waiting for my NOA2 but im not out of normal processing time... so i started to gather information and fiancee is is coming with financial information in october

Ok I wish you the best of luck if at any time you get lost I am here to help and guide you. From beginning to end it took me 13 months, but everyone is different. Just make sure you know each other well have strong evidence and you will be all set. 😊

thank you so much for your help, i know this because a close friend went through this process.... She told me her interview was just 3 question and they approved, but better have all the things they need... my fiancee is wiling to go with me to he interview but i don't really know if it is necessary.

about the shots how that goes?

Good morning! Everything is diff per case. My fiance went alone but they had him reschedule so I can attend.

Shots are not mandatory for K1 but I would recommend paying the 120 in DR than here in the US its pricier.. They are needed for the Adjustment of Status without them you will be denied.

  15. During my process for the K1 Visa, I did not find much information. Their website is out of date, but common sense will help you achieve it. After NVC receives your petition and its ready status, you must make a profile at ustraveldocs. This will help you book your VAC and Embassy appointment. Do not sit and wait for package 3-4 it will not happen. As you book your appts the confirmation page will let you know the documents to bring and locations. Please please go with your partner!!! This country is hard for some. Make sure you have everything organized and concrete evidence. If any questions arise you r more than welcomed to email me. Good luck!

I would only do it if you think you don't have a particularly strong case for some reason. Not many visits or something like that. Not sure how tough of an embassy they have.

Ty well since its international visited twice since petition was submitted (13 mon period) let me see we chat talk n video .. No letters in mail since they do not have a postal service. Only couriers n they charge 40$ no way lol for a letter haha. We have pictures many .. Well, lets see next week will be interview day! Wish me luck good vibes.. I appreciate ur comment 🤗

We will be fine, its almost 14 months for us lol it's sick but i know its for the best... 10th, wow that's a long time, they better call you to come for interview the same day they get the petition from NVC :) I am sure they did not send it electronically, ours was sent on the 16th of May and embassy here got it May 17th and then they waited 2 weeks before they contacted me, it is always one of them messing up lol. I will follow you timeline now, i would like to know how it goes for you. :)

Oh sheesh so not everyone has had it smooth smh.. My timeline cannot be updated it doesn't let me put in my dates bcuz it took 10 months for my petition to get approved uffff.. I wish I can update it for others to see but vj gives me errors. And they do it electronically for the country I am applying for. Just my luck of everything taking longer than expected but sure I will be around the whole way thru wouldn't mind sharing my experience with others who are coming along! 🤗 wish you the best of luck on ur journey..

Same here too, once i paid the fee i can reschedule as many times as i like the credit stays there. What date did your status turned to in transit with NVC?

On the 10th.. So it says it can take several weeks! With my luck who knows it has taken 13 months doing this whole K1 process for me 🙄 thanks God is almost done I want to be with my fiance already.. Its been so hard but we have remained strong thru it all.

  19. 33 minutes ago, kemm360 said:

Wow that’s different from here. We can’t pick a date here until the embassy has gotten and acknowledged our petition and sent packet 3. Is it free to reschedule there? If it is then it wouldn’t hurt you to pick an anticipated date 😊

I was thinking about that too.. The embassy lets you do it online the biometric n embassy appt as long as u have paid the visa fee, so with the receipt number you are allowed to do so.. And the medical is walk in first come first serve deal. So I will schedule if at any point the petition is still in transit just reschedule 🤔😁

I thought it was gonna be me so please do remember to turn off the lights as @Greenbaum suggested lol... My interview is 26th of this month... 😊

    Congrats! 😊

Well, I can make an interview appointment but I want to make sure my petition is already at the embassy. I do not want to do everything (go to the interview)and have everything held back or rescheduled because the petition will be In Transit mode.. Idk just thinking
