  1. Vermont is faster, and the shipping department at Vermont actual ships out your package to the NVC in a timely manner. Trust me you do not want your visa application to be done at the California Center. The worst part with the California center is after everyone receives the NOA 2 that your case is being sent to the NVC (K Visa Applications) and etc.. Everyone just keeps waiting for the clowns in the California Service Center Shipping department to ship out cases to the NVC. The waiting time is the most stressful thing.. With the Vermont center by the time most people receive there NOA2 letter, there case has already reached the NVC.

  2. Good to email the NVC to see if your case has shipped out. Even though my case shipped out on the 25th of Oct the same date my letter from the NVC had on it.. The letter had the typical stuff on how it would be shipped out in a week even though it had already left the NVC, and was in the hands of DHL on the 25th evening.

I got a follow up email from the NVC on the 25th with the good news, and then called the NVC and spoke with a live a person to confirm it had left the NVC.

  3. Don't be worried or stressed out it is taking about 5 weeks for people to get NVC case numbers and for the CSC to ship your case to the NVC.

It took four weeks till my case got to the NVC from the CSC, and then another week before I got a NVC Case number, and about 48hrs later my case left the NVC.

Just relax you've only been waiting about 2.5 weeks, and as said earlier the CSC shipping department is again waiting for a bulk amount of approved case before shipping anymore out to the NVC.

  4. The CSC mail room is a joke. I use to see a lot of Oct approved cases get to the NVC before mine.. What a messed up shipping system. One would think the CSC could ship cases in some sort of order.. ?? < Since this won't happen at least the CSC could learn from the Vermont Service Center on how to ship cases out in good time!!

  5. I just got a NVC number.

I had gotten an email this morning from the NVC saying the usual on how my case hasn't arrived at the NVC yet. THen at 4:05est time I got a live person who gave me good news, and the NVC case number.. So hopefully my case will ship out to India by the end of the week.

Hope the rest of you get NVC numbers this week if not today!!

  6. I only got that information because of some computer glitch with the USCIS online check status page on Thursday of last week

What happened was I got five strange emails from the USCIS so I went to the website, and typed in my WAC number and the website came back with no case information so I called the USCIS 800 number and the level one support was confused as was I so he transferred me to higher level support. The higher level support has access to all the information on your case.

So once at the higher level support the guy was able to see where my case was, and said that everything was ok, and I had nothing to worry about. After that he told that my case left the CSC on 10-13-16 to the NVC.

I posted a more a detail thing last week when it actually happened. I just got lucky because before this happened I was stressing out as when the CSC was going to ship out my case!!

  7. I got my NOA2 on 9-18-06, and the CSC did not ship my case to the NVC till 10-13-06. So don't stress out it is going to time so all you can is sit back and wait, and call the NVC on and off.

Mine nearly took the entire four weeks to leave the CSC to the NVC.

The Average wait time before your case will even leave the CSC shipping department is going to be about 3-4 weeks of your NOA2 notice. Some people have had to wait six weeks!!

    hope this helps..

  8. Congrats, and thanks!!

I think it really depends on who get at the USCIS. Honestly the higher level support guy did not have to tell me that my case shipped to the NVC. He was just really nice, and a really good mood. Plus went the extra mile. After he found my case in the computer system he was like well we have faxed the New Delhi US Embassy. Then said have you called the embassy? I said I thought it goes to the NVC? He said hold on let me ask some one.

He cames back and said you were correct it goes to the NVC and it was shipped on 10-13-06 from the CSC. (Funny enough on 10-13-06 I spoke with the CSC on the status of my case).

Also around 5:00pm Est time last night an agent from the CSC called me and said is this Agam.... Yes!! He said I heard you had some trouble with your case? I explained to him what happened, and then told him that the USCIS customer service was able to figure it out, and everything is ok.. He said that is good.. Then I said thanks for calling he said your welcome.

As much as I have picked at the CSC in the last three weeks, I have to say that the fact the CSC called me last night to inquire about my problem it has kind of changed my view on the CSC at least when it comes to the agents...

I still don't understand the shipping department at the CSC!!

  9. Finally I got some good news this afternoon!!

Around 1:45pm I got two strange emails from the USCIS so I went to the USCIS website, and typed in my case number, and my approval status had vanished. So I called up the 800 number for the USCIS and told the CS guy my issue he looks into this computer and can't find my case. So I get transferred to higher level support which took 25 minutes to reach someone. Once I got someone the guy asked me a bunch of questions then said let me look for information on your case.

The guy comes back and says everything is ok, and nothing to worry about. Then he says by the way your case was shipped to the NVC on 10-13-06, and a fax was also sent to the New Delhi Embassy to inform them to expect your case soon.

Thanks to a USCIS computer error I got some great news finally!!

Now I just await a NVC number to be assigned to me soon!!

  10. I am also entering my fifth week come this Monday, and likewise I contacted my senator's office last week and they were really helpful and said mail us a few documents and we will get on it. So hopefully if my case has not shipped this week from the CSC to the NVC after my senators office does it work next week it will ship out to the NVC.

I am glad I'm already visiting my fiance in Dec for a while while this all plays out at slow speed. If my cases gets in to administrative review with the NVC I am going to pack up and stay in India till the interview is over. I couldn't even imagine waiting six months for the NVC to do it is review of my case staying in the US.

    So the fun continues!!

  11. So far this week the CSC / NVC have made some progress with 13 cases for Sept 2006 getting NVC numbers, and some cases getting shipped out by the NVC to the US Embassy.

Last week we had 104 cases awaiting NVC numbers!!

Now we have 91 cases awaiting NVC cases and the week still has two days to go. So the numbers could surely go lower by Friday night.

On a good note the numbers for 9-7-06 and 9-11-06 keep getting lower with both having 8 cases left awaiting NVC numbers.
