I was approved on 9/7 and the NVC still does not have my f'ing file. What do you people suggest I do?
Right you call the USCIS and find the date that your file was sent.. not the date it was completed but the actual date it was transfered!.. do you have this ?
Once you have confirmed the date it was actually sent, all you can do is keep calling the NVC to see if a case number has been assigned yet. Ask them about what to do if they dont recieve the file
Good luck !
Uhh, how do you find out if your file was sent to NVC? does it actually said anywhere?
From calling the USCIS, the USCIS does not give out that information on when it sent your approved case to the NVC. I called the USCIS last week and was told we don't have access to that information. So I think you just have to call and email the NVC.
If anyone actually got that information from the USCIS please tell us what you asked them how u went about doing it?

perfect...Thanks!

What did the mis-information line say when you phoned about your status?

Sent an email to NVCInquiry@state.gov
If you already haven't done so.

Has anyone gotten a NVC case number from the NVC today for approved cases from the CSC?
If you get a NVC case number, and used the CSC please post in here for 10/10/06 to 10/13/06. This also includes emails from the NVC.
thanks
** will 9/18/06 approved cases from the CSC arrive at the NVC this week?? **

Hi Everyone
I called the NVC and asked about my case... they said it was on the way to the embassy
. I asked for the dhl tracking number for my case and they said we don't have that and hung up. I thought I've seen posts where people suggest to track dhl. Was I mistaken?
Thanks and good luck everyone!
see post for DHL instructions.. (click the link below)

It took that 2nd statement in jest... and US gov office types almost NEVER work holidays, I know because I am one.
(But I'm IT so I'm on call 24/7 anyways...
)
yeah I know the US gov offices are almost never open on holidays.. Just poking fun at the CSC!!

I am a bit nervous that our NOA2 will expire before our interview is scheduled. The Trinidad embassy is currently sheduling interviews 8 weeks out, and expecting to only get busier. Our NOA2 just reached the NVC and won't go out for another week or 2 I am sure. With the Christmas rush and upcoming holidays, I am nervous.
So in a case where that may occur .... what happens? Has anyone here had this happen to them?
Just call the US embassy where your interview will be, and the embassy will extended it. I recall reading about this last week in another post.

Just to remind everyone that today Monday Oct 9 2006 is Columbus day which is a Federal holiday. Thus the USCIS, and NVC are closed today.
However I feel that the CSC shipping department should be forced to work on this Federal holiday and get approved cases ready for shipping for Tuesday to the NVC!!!

congrat, now where's mine LOL
Hope you guys don't have to wait around any longer
GOOD LUCK!!
Congrats to the both of you great news!!
Now where is mine as well?? I think I smell next week for 9-18-06
was going to write last night that it seems the NVC replys back to your earlier emails once the NVC gets your case. Hopefully on Tuesday the NVC will have some good info being how Monday is a holiday for them.

Here is the new timeline for today.

Thanks again it looks like the earlier dates in Sept are starting to fill up!!

I updated it again today.
Thanks again for the updated.. Now that the CSC has about 112 to 114 approved cases waiting to be shipped to the NVC the big question is when is the CSC going to ship them out? We know the CSC ships in bulk and 112 to 114 approved cases seem like a big enough bulk for us, but then again the CSC likes to make our lives full of stress.
So could next week be another big batch shipment from the CSC with 112 to 114 approved cases. If we included the Oct 2 approved cases the number would be much higher.
The fun continues.. (If anyone finds out from the NVC when a big batch is coming from the CSC posted the info for us!!)

Nevermind, I'm an idiot and shouldn't post early in the morning. Thanks!
A lot of us got the same response when inquiring about our apporved cases..

nice find
thanks I figured this information would be helpful for the 9-14-06 people, 9-15-06 people, and the 9-18-06 people. Lets see what happens in our third week of waiting.
What about the 9/7 people...where is my f'ing case? It has been a month!!!! How long is this $hit going to take anyway?
I would send an email to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov with putting your WAC case number in subject line. I would think if you email them you should get some good news on ur case.
By the way there was 18 total approved cases on 9-7-06 and out of those 18 approved cases only four have got NVC case numbers. (Now this information may not be correct depending if people got approved on 9-7-06 got NVC case numbers this week and haven't update there timeline). However I do recall some people from 9-7-06 approved notices getting good news this week from the NVC.
(best of luck)

I read somewhere ( can't find it ) that NVC keeps cases longer that have a longer embassy
waiting time and for fast embassies they send it out sooner.
Anyone saw that ?
I don't recall seeing that or reading it, but I know that some US Embassy's in China have a 3 months waiting period so If your waiting for your case to get to China it probably gets held at the NVC since you have to wait three months anyways to get an interview. (This probably doesn't apply for Hong Kong). For most countries it is the standard 14 day process period from the time the US Embassy gets your case from the NVC to the interview.

man I am sooo jealouse of those guys, yep I admitted. anywho, I'll wait till next monday to call NVC again, looks like we're heading to our 4th week next. Hope good news will come to us that wait patiently soon.
Yeah looks like it will be 4 weeks for us 9-18-06 people. Unless we get some good news next week which will be our third week of waiting. If we are lucky the CSC stays on track to the topic I started for the 9-14-06 cases. By the way I just found out that Monday is a federal holiday so we are going to have to wait till Tuesday!!
So then on Tuesday 10-10-06 I'm sending another email along with calling.
Lets see what happens in our third week!!

Can anyone please tell me what to do to get police clearance in India. To whom I should contact for that ? we have just started to do our k1 paper work, should I start to get that clearance now or I can wait still I get my application approved ?
Thanks in advance....
wait till your application is approved because you do not need the Police clearance till the ur case is sent to the India US Embassy.
My Fiance just got her Police clarence after our case got approved by the CSC. Now we just wait for our case to get to the NVC then to the Delhi Embassy.

The following information was made from information from this website that people with 9-14-06 approved cases are now getting NVC cases number, and finding out that there cases have already shipped out with some people with 9-14-06 approved cases who already got cases numbers about a week ago.
I took the information from the very helpful timeline made by garyandluz today!! (thanks).
So if this trend with the CSC keeps going 9-18-06 approved cases which are high in number should be coming soon to the NVC.
So for 9-14-06 there were a total of five approved cases of which two people got it so three cases left awaiting NVC case numbers.
For 9-15-06 there were five approved cases of which all five are waiting NVC cases number. (unless some 9-15-06 people got NVC cases numbers but did not update their timeline).
Now for the 9-18-06 people!!
There are a total of 13 approved cases of which all 10 are still awaiting NVC case numbers, and where three of the 13 approved cases from the CSC got NVC case number already.
So lets hope the CSC stays on this track if they do 9-15-06 approved cases should soon be getting NVC case numbers followed by 9-18-06.
** This information does not include the Vermont Service Center and is only for CSC approved cases for the K-1 VISA **

AND ????
just giving a time line. 2.5 weeks from NOA2 to NVC sending it out.
Congrats.. It seems people who got approved from the CSC on 9-14-06 are now finally getting NVC case numbers along with there cases being shipped out. This is good news as so far two people with 9-14-06 approved dates have got news last night and posted it today.

I spoke to a live operator at NVC at 11 pm, who informed me that my petition should be shipped to New Delhi by Friday (Oct 6th). Later I checked my email to find a reply from NVC sent 4 hours ago. The email stated that the petition has been sent to New Delhi.
So what should I believe? Has it been sent or it is still at NVC???? Anybody has similar experience?
Use the DHL instructions and see if DHL has your package that would be a good way to check if it actually shipped since the NVC said via email they shipped it.
-
Congratulations and Godspeed!
Congrats.. seems to be taking a month when using the CSC. I hope all of us from Sept get NVC numbers soon.
-
Thanks so much Gary you rule!!!!
Michaela
thanks so much this is exactly what all the people need who are in the shipping waiting game with the CSC sending approved cases to the NVC.
From this time line it seems a huge batch is due to leave the CSC which will have approved cases from 9-6-06 to about 9-25-06 (seeing how the CSC works) I didn't included dates after the 20th of Sept because the CSC is not that nice as they seem to surely have a cut off date when mailing out big batches of approved cases to the NVC. (I could be wrong and I wish everyone up to end of Sept approved cases comes in the next batch, but were dealing with the CSC and not the nice Vermont Service Center).
Now for all those people who got approved on Oct 2nd this week from the CSC is seems all your approved cases would land up at the NVC in the second big batch after the one I listed above (again since the CSC doesn't send cases in order of date I'm surely not correct). So I would expect the second big batch to rang from approved cases with a date of Sept 26-06 to Oct 2nd or Oct 4th. (Then again if we could have used the Vermont service center most of all the Sept approved cases would have NVC numbers and the Oct people would be getting NVC numbers soon).

Awww man, I just got off the phone with an operator and she said that they haven't recieve our case yet and to call them back at the end of october to find out more. I'm on a waiting jurney again... man how can you get so lucky. We got approved on the same date for crying out loud, lol.
what? I coulda sworn yesterday that I was reading your original post and going by your timeline it said that you were approved on the same date as we are. sept. 18, 2006. correct me if I'm wrong
I got approved on the same date as well!! I think the two of us will get good news towards the 3.5 or 4th week of waiting our 2-4 weeks for processing. We are now into 2.5 weeks!! I'm still waiting for email response from the NVC, but it has only been two days since I wrote them been told to wait 2-5 days!!
Yeah me too, well see
I got an email back with having no luck about 5 minutes ago from the NVC.

So the wait continues with the CSC to send it to the NVC. Might have to call the USCIS and find out that it is in the shipping stage as some one else had received the same information when calling the USCIS..
we'll see what I get in my email
this is what I just got
Good Afternoon,

The two of us are surely in the same boat. Since we both got the same email from the NVC with in a day of each other!! Looks like the CSC is sleeping again in the shipping department. If only we had the luck of using the Vermont Service Center we would not have to go through this waiting game with the CSC.
What sucks is when you hear of people who used the Vermont service center who get a NVC number two days after getting is NOA2 email. (I read this last night in the K-1 area seems to have broken the record)..
The fun keeps going with CSC!!!
So you all know
