I made a post regarding the issue two days back after speaking with the CS on my passport status!

Haven't seen this posted, but for all people who have recently applied for the US Passport the US Passport Customer Service has confirmed that the online checking system is having major issues linking to the social security numbers. This is why when one checks the status of the passport one is receiving the typical message of "the passport not being found".
Since the online system is not working the US Passport Customer Service Center advises everyone to wait the 7 to 10 days then call to inquire as they have to look one up in the old system to find out the status.

Didn't realize I put a typo when I replied earlier.. The reply should have been My wife got the Oath ceremony letter which is scheduled for March 17th at 9am.
To your question from what I heard from some other people locally the GNV federal court house was giving out the Oath certificate once the ceremony was done, and most people here since the post office is located in the federal court house would just mail everything out the same day for the US passport. Hopefully when my wife goes the Federal court house will still be doing this!

My Wife finally got her Oath Letter for March 17th. The best part is we don't have to drive to Jacksonville for the oath ceremony as we got it locally in Gainesville FL at the Federal Court House!
-
I was starting to wonder the same-thing about the oath letter taking 2-3 months. I would imagine that the USCIS JAX office is just very slow in process the letters, and getting them sent out.
-
My wife had the same experience last month for interview in JAX.
Congrats..
Hopefully the oath letter comes sooner than 2-3 months were almost at the month waiting period here.

The OCI work is being outsourced to a private company in the USA as the consulates could not handle the work, and the tracking information provided was useless. Wait for two weeks as most consulates will be using the private company which once you apply will take about three to six months to get the OCI. You will also be able to track your application in real time.
No, you cannot apply in India for the OCI card if you reside in the USA or for that matter anywhere outside India.

The Jacksonville USCIS person told my wife you should get the oath letter in two to three months.

Thanks for all the help!!

Did you sent a new I-751 form? Did the USCIS use the original one that went with your I-751 package the first time?
-
No, the USCIS is not that nice!! We mail it out last week it got there three days before the 11th (9-8-09), and we were shocked that they sent it back with the blue 90 day notice.
So tomorrow we get to mail it back to them!! We will be sending a new I-751 form just incase the USCIS refuses to use the old one where under remarks they stamped 12-10-07. (We don't want the USCIS to mail the entire package back to us again) This time with a letter saying the I-751 form you submitted cannot be used!
On a good note the USCIS send back everything stampled together.

The two year green card expires on 12-10-2009.
When can I mail off my I-751 packet to the USCIS?
Thanks!

Thanks for the information!!

My wife recently got her green card, and is now being offered an internship in Sri Lanka for about 4 months.
My question is can my wife take up the internship with out causing any issue with her green card? (She has the two year green card with conditions).
Thanks in advance for the help.

I called my senator's office when I ran into the CSC shipping department not mailing my stuff over to the NVC after waiting a few weeks. I got some letter back from the senators office on how they inquired into my case, and the letter had details from what the USCIS told them. A week before I got the letter from my senator's office my case got mailed to the NVC then off to the embassy. This all happened about a year ago.

You shouldn't have a problem, but you should wait for the GC to arrive as you wouldn't want it to get lost when being internationally shipped over.
-
We also recieved everything at home directly from the USCIS after our Lawyer submitted, and mailed all the paper work to the USCIS.
-
It takes about 60 to 90 days. The process time for us was 60 days.
-
I used a Lawyer for my K-1 to insure that paper work was done correct the first time around.
-
I got a touch on my work authorization form last night, but that is probably because I had my biometrics yesterday morning for it.
-
We are in Florida, and I sent off the AOS paper work before getting the SS card / number. No issues with the USCIS. As already said... If you have to leave the country while waiting on AOS adjustment you need to fill out the form for Advance Parole for travel.
-
As already said wait 30 days though I am sure you will get it real soon.

I got the same RFE on Tuesday 2/6/07. The pink letter was so confusing, and the worst part was I sent my W2's the first time around, but then to the letter I didn't sent the complete forms showing I filled the taxs for 2005 2004, and 2003. Also the letter wanted proof of employment again. Basically a letter showing I was still employed!!
Also I sent a copy of my 2006 W2 back with the rest of the requested stuff with a note informing the USCIS that I haven't Filed my taxes for 2006 yet. (hope the USCIS doesn't mind)
I just mailed everything back on Thursday to the DHS/USCIS.
How long after applying for passport were you able to check status online?
