George & John got a reaction from Claudiam in I-129F June, Part II
Hello everyone!
John and I received our approval notice in the post today, dated 15th! Our NOA1 is June 16th.
No update online; no indications we had been approved other than this little letter. I think we can safely mistrust the numbers to an extent, which is a shame, but at least the reality can only be better than the stats! We also didn't include many of the things that people are getting RFEs for, and posted quite a basic application ourselves. None of it seems to make much sense.
It is bittersweet and unfair that so many others with earlier dates are still awaiting theirs. I am wishing you guys all the best for the next few days.

Honestly, you should enjoy it!
Spend time with people that you may not see as much after you move.
Take the time to chill and do things that you've never really had time for before.
I wish I was brave enough to quit and do stuff around my home city and with family before I have to move permanently.

Thanks for the help everybody. Indeed, being unemployed has prompted some longer-than-usual grilling at the border, but I've gotten through without too much hassle, even with the K-1 pending. Reassuring to know it shouldn't impact anything else.

The beneficiary not having a job has no impact on the decision of getting approved for a fiancé visa or not. The only time having or not having a job plays a factor is when you are applying for the tourist/visitor visa since with this type of visa you have to prove you have strong ties to return to your home country. The K1 visa is different because the financially responsibility falls on the USC to make sure you don't become a "public charge" to the US. USCIS and your country's Embassy is not gonna look at your financial/employment status, only your fiancé's.

I am in the same position as you. I quit my job because I thought by now I would be over and my contract was ending. As long as your fiancé (the petitioner) meets the financial requirements you are okay to be unemployed. Same as you it has thankfully allowed me to travel a lot to the US, and the only difficulty I have faced is proving ties to the UK... many people use employment status for this! There really is no consequence of not having a job as the beneficiary.

Right back at you! It's heartwarming to see that, despite the many trials and tribulations associated with this visa process, sexuality doesn't appear to be a complicating factor anymore.
Thank you for the list - much appreciated. And good luck to everybody!

Believe me I know the feeling. Nice to also see another same sex couple from UK :-)

Hello folks! Long-term background stalker on this forum. Mid-June filer. Hope everybody is hanging in there. Visiting my fiance in NY next month for Thanksgiving (originally thought I'd be there by then - how foolish!).
Can somebody do me a massive favour and explain the above numbers/analysis from Naes to me? Are the numbers being gleaned from VJ, or elsewhere? I've tracked back through the forum but struggling to find the context.
