In case anyone was wondering where they come up with the January 15th date... It's complete nonsense and 2+ month old data. I suggest saving yourself the headache and time of trying to contact Tier 1, because this is all they are going to tell you, and this is the same line they've been giving since April 30th.

They actually have the updated date on the bottom of the page but it is still complete bull.

    Dear march filers,

To those who haven't received their approvals as of yet, please don't worry u will get it soon. In my opinion folks who did via an attorney got approvals faster than who filed by themselves.

    PEACE

I can see why you would think that. But it actually takes the same amount of time. All depends on how long your background check takes. Then it just goes in order as received. The only difference is the papers are always done correctly and you pay a rediculous amount more

My lawyer told me 6 to 8 months for the whole process but just like u we are on our 4th month & I don't see it happening in 6 months...it gets the best of me at times so u are not alone

Cheer up. They don't know what they are talking about. I called and they said the exact same. That they are only on january applicants. But my Noa2 is already on it's way. You should be recieving yours this month too. I am a March 9th applicant

This tends to be the case and has a lot to do with scalablity of representative democracy. Depending on your state, your senator is supposed to represent a few to tens of millions of people. It's nice to think that they might take the time to deal with your individual request, and their inquiry does have weight, but the chances are slim. Your inquiry might be handled by some staffer whose job is just to empty the inbox and send out copy pasta canned responses. Some are better at constituent outreach than others. In my experience, I've had much better luck with well thought out e-mails that explain my situation, frustrations and ideas about how the situation could be improved for not just myself, but the whole country. (Have to play to their ego of being potential saviors of mankind a little bit. ;)).

Yeah. It really depends on your state. My senator is very pro immigration and makes it a point that he will help anyone he can in this area. I have been speaking with one of his staff since I started the process. He even checked in on me recently to ask if everything is fine and to let him know if I need any further help with the process. An amazing guy.

For what I've read in previous months threads, contacting the senator or congressman can be a bit of a lottery, as some of them get the same generic answer about normal processing times and blah blah blah... But always a good shot generally speaking.

Glad it worked good and quickly for you. Pretty sure you are waiting for the NOA2 stating you've been approved, since I think they would have told you it was a RFE otherwise, but ok, we'll cross fingers for you for now :)

Well that makes me feel much better. Thank you! Can't wait for it to arrive!

Just a friendly reminder of a few things since this board moves very quickly and answers to very frequent questions tend to get buried: No, the USCIS tracker is not working. Therefore, scans are useless. NOA2s for March have been received up to the early 20s so far. Background checks are theoretically the reason petitions are answered out of receipt date order. Denials are very very rare (~2%). Just be patient. It's not really a matter of if, but when!! Good luck to all and may all issues facing those that have waiting an extended period be resolved as soon as possible!!!

It's just so stressful to see so many March NOA2's be recieved when I am a March 9th applicant and still have nothing. Will the NOA2 come to me here in the US or get sent to my fiance in Costa Rica?

Woohoo, so fast! That's incredible to hear!

If anyone else is working on scheduling interviews, do let us whiners know how far your embassies are booked out for :)

And anyone else left in my "still waiting for NOA2 camp"? LOL feel so lonely as it seems most of March has gotten theirs, which is wonderful news!

I am a March 9th applicant and still waiting for my NOA2...

Hello, I just received a mail today about the RFE. It says

    Request for Evidence

Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance(e)

You, *** (the petitioner), filed a Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance(e), in behalf of *** (the beneficiary) on March 20, 2017. You are seeking the classify the beneficiary as the fiancee of a United States citizen under sections 101(a) (15)(K) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. Additional evidence is required to establish the qualifying relationship. Submit your response to this request for evidence along with the attached blue sheet.

Beneficiary's Intent to Marry You in the United States

You submitted your intent to marry the beneficiary, ***. Submit evidence from the beneficiary, ***, that she plans to marry you within 90 days of her admission to the United States. Evidence of the beneficiary's intent may be a signed statement, wedding preparations or other evidence that clearly establishes his intent to marry.

I would like to ask an advice if I need to send evidence for the relationship or just the statement. please help me

In applying you need to have a signed statement from both the petitioner and applicant saying you will marry upon arrive. I believe the statement should be fine

  9. Maybe you guys can give me some insight. I filed in March for my fiance in Costa Rica and received the NOA1 on March 9th. However I have not received the NOA2 yet and when I called to ask about it, I was told that they are on January 15th applications, and once March applications are processed I will get a letter of acceptance that I will be transfered. And it can take up to 30-90 days or even 3 months for my fiance to get the visa. And we actually have our wedding planned for October 7th here. I am so confused and sad right now. Anything will help. Thank you!
