I am still waiting here is Seattle. Just get my monthly email saying" We are still processing your case". My EAD Combo card expires in a month. Applied to have it renewed in Feb, but still only receipt of that as well. Anyone in the Seattle area???
I’m in the Seattle area and still waiting too. It’s been a little over a year and I really hope I’ll get my interview letter soon. Seattle office is so slow though 😔

Haven't filed yet, probably won't until November 2018, since fiance is moving here in a few weeks. Out of curiosity, how long did it take for you guys to receive EAD? I don't know how my fiance will do if he can't work for 6 months.
I filed mine last April and got my EAD/AP in August. It wasn’t too long of a wait but definitely find something to do. I did a volunteer work and I think it’s a good thing to add to his American resume.

Quick question:
What picture did USCIS use in your EADs? Is it the passport picture that you included in your application? Or is it the picture taken during your biometrics appointment?
It’s the one taken at the biometrics appointment

So I just realized I might have accidentally threw away my I-485 receipt notice because I can’t find it and what is worse is I don’t have copies either 😢 I do still have the biometrics appointment letter though and now I’m stressing out about the renewal of my EAD even though I have only received it last month. I’m afraid my AOS process will take forever since it seems like the Seattle office is so backlogged. Has anyone else ever had experience renewing the EAD without including your I-485 receipt notice because you lost yours? Will the biometrics appointment letter work in lieu of the lost I485 receipt as proof that we have pending AOS or do you have to pay the EAD fee? Thank you!

How do you like Renton? I'm in Puyallup, an area with just the road and shops on its sides, not much around, also shady people that ask for crack as they walk by. When we went to Tukwila for the biometrics we passed by more nicer places. It seems anywhere outside the vecinity the area I'm in, it looks cleaner and nicer.
Just find it weird how it's all so spread out, mostly 1 level buildings around here, mobile homes. Even the structure of the houses, they're made out of wood, seems so off place to me.
Oh yeah I drove past Puyallup before. Renton is pretty nice. Lots of trees. Stores like Ikea and asian market which really helps since I’m asian. Pretty close to the Southcenter mall too.The rent here ain’t cheap tho. We’re only able to afford it cause we have two roommates lol.

I think positively too, it's how I made it this far. I really miss my home and everything back there but I made a commitment too and I can't bail on it. I moved from Romania to Washington.
Hey I live in Washington state too! All we can do is just hang in there. I don’t expect to get the AOS interview until next year to be honest cause the Seattle office seems so backlogged. But I really really hope the EAD/AP will come through soon.

I think it might depend on where you live. I didn’t have a problem getting the SSN after marriage with my married name. I’m guessing the officer was familiar with the K1 situation cause I live in Renton WA where there is a lot of immigrants.

Hey guys, I am looking at some of the Table of Contents for AoS packages and I noticed there are 3 certified copies of marriage certificates? One for 485, 765, and 131? Is it really necessary to have three certified copies of the marriage certificate in this one packet?
I sent 3 copies of marriage certificate for each application to prove name change as I’m applying using my married name.

Yes you only need to do another medical if you file your AOS within more than a year after you did your medical for K1 visa. If USCIS doesn’t specifically ask for it on the interview letter then you should be good to go.

Hey everyone I'm finally coming to America this month having been an early March filer and received my k1 visa since September lol. My fiance will pick me up in my home country and we're planning to go straight to Vegas to get married there. Is it ok to do this? (I sure hope so since we booked everything in Vegas already lol) I read that many people apply for SSN before the marriage (and after the marriage to add name change) but will it be fine if I apply after I get married? can I apply with my new married name right away? Also if anyone has any experiences with POE at LAX recently feel free to let me know how it went cause I'm pretty nervous about mine. Oh and congrats for all the marriages and for those who have started the AOS process I wish you a smooth sailing journey
