The normal course of action is to get an RFE. However, when we mailed our package, we also forgot to include the W2s and we got approved without an RFE. If your evidence is sufficient, then they might over look this minor missing document.
In the meantime, why don't you go ahead and request your tax transcripts - they are free. It takes them a couple of weeks to arrive, and if you do end up receiving an RFE due to missing or incomplete tax transcripts/returns, then they are there and ready for you to copy and mail back. If you don't get an RFE, well then you can keep them for naturalization... if you want to apply for naturalization when you become eligible, then you need to submit tax transcripts again so they will be there and ready for that phase as well.
    hope this helps

Hey, our case was approved on 12/26/2016.  We were in Japan at the time and returned to find the green card in the mail.  Good luck to everyone else!

I'm not so stressed out about it this time around.  I now know it can take a long time for anything to happen, so my attitude at this point is "it is what it is."  Still sucks to wait so long, but...it is what it is

Sure... i it helps people I'm happy to post it up. So my situation is a little more complex because my husband and I were married and then a week later he left for a job in the USA. So we lived apart for about 10mths so we have to prove we were in a relationship for that time apart. This is why I've included info from our engagement just to show we were in the process of getting married long before we did. So my pack might be a little bigger than others. We also have banks accounts etc in two countries. Try to think of every little thing you have and put it in better they have it all and not get a RFE. Hope this helps people

I used Top Bounded Report Covers. It comes as two pieces, joined by fastener.  One piece  - as a bottom, another one - as a top if you like, and I just took out its "fastener"  because it's not long enough and used ACCO instead- works great together! And looks so neat !

Don't worry - you are not gonna be denied for not having life insurance. It's YOUR choice - to have it or not. For example, we got it because we have mortgage. And the idea of getting Life Ins. was - if something happens to one of us, another one won't get stuck with a house payment and only one income... But this is not A MUST - to have Life Ins. All up to you.
Some couples keep their financial assets completely separate and still successfully go  through ROC. You should be fine
