I had documents rejected because they were sideways (landscape orientation) instead of portrait orientation. I resubmitted immediately and then we got case complete 2 weeks after that

no. it could be staggered. they usually do those forms towards the end. so yes you could be waiting even longer
Great news a double check and my AOS (tax docs) documents was accepted, maybe they changed the way they do things, But we are definitely in the clear regarding the AOS now just waiting for review of resubmitting docs!! Thank you

3 weeks every time they are rejected
Well I hope these docs are good enough for them. If there was a problem with my tax forms or anything else, would the NVC request re submission all at once?

Hi Everyone, on Wed 6/12, my husband and I received a message from the NVC stating that 3 of our documents were Rejected. 2 of them (his passport bio page and birth cert) they requested another or better scan and our marriage licence was rejected because part of the paper was cut off. I uploaded and resubmitted the request items today. Does anyone know how long does it take for the NVC to review resubmitted documents? also does the NVC request all rejected documents at once? I hope so, this is delay my honey love being here with me. I also wanted to let everyone know, when submitting scanned documents, be sure to have the entire forms and be sure that they are legible because the NVC is veeeerrryy ticky about everything!! If you dont the process could be delayed.

We just received the email that my husband's interview will be June 12 in Rio!! Faster that we expected but we are so happy! CC was May 2, interview email received today, May 21, interview June 12. God is watching over us. Now we're changing our travel plans for June. We had planned to be together for a week on the beach in Brazil to celebrate our first wedding anniversary, June 21, now we're adjusting for this news, to be together for his medical exam June 5 and interview June 12. Good luck everyone while you wait.

A cover letter is not required. Some people used to recommend them if you were mailing in the documents, but if you are uploading documents via CEAC there is no need for a cover letter as all documents are uploaded digitally and are connected to your file. If you write one and upload it with all of your other documents, they would probably not even read it. We just got approved at NVC and did not upload a cover letter as it is not necessary. Focus on scanning and uploading the required documents correctly, as people often have to re-submit documents and this delays approval for many weeks.
Thank you, and Congrats!!!

Did anybody use a cover letter to send their info to NVC electronically? I was reading on Wikipedia that a cover letter should be use! But this could be old info, because it also gives info on mailing the forms for IV and AOS. Everything electronic so I’m not sure what to do. Please see images below.

They denied me bcz there was a mistake in my marriage certificate ( goverment fault) so instead of giving me the chance to correct it , they send back the case to usa..
i waited 15 months bcz the embassy return my case back for revocation and i took 15 months to review it .. and after the long wait, i got a denial
Wow!! Well good luck on the second time around. I know u guys were angry with the government because of the mistake on ur marriage license, but everything happens for a reason. And only God knows. U should be fine this time! U have been through the process before, so u know what to give and what to expect!!

Our Visa has been issued and I’m leaving Vj since we have no further processing pending of any sort. I wanted to say bye first and thank you all for the info, the company etc you’ve all provided during these months. Try not to get too down about the wait, because Once the USCIS portion is done, I promise the rest is much less waiting around. Have a great year, and I hope you are with your loved ones before the year ends.
Congratulations can’t wait to say my farewell!! 👋🏾

Who's planning on accompanying your spouse to their visa interview?
I will be with my husband!!

It shouldn’t take that long. My approval was Dec 15th and it got to the NVC Jan 4th. Check the NVC in a few weeks. I think they tell people x amount of days, not to get our hopes up. But then again my service center is Potomac so the time could be different. Either way, check the NVC in a week!! Good luck!!

I think I'll cry too. Every once in a while my husband and I talk about our reactions to receiving the NOA2 and I get teary-eyed just thinking about it. :')
Awwwww!! This is a long process but at the end, it’s gonna be worth it. Having our husbands with us and living the life we dream of 😁🤗
