For some reason, us Canada peeps are getting passed up .... Even though this Thursday is 2 weeks for me as well and I received a case # on 01/19, mine still says "At NVC", as does every other case # from that day that starts with MTL (I ran other #'s by changing the last digit of the case #, everyones is... "At NVC".). Yes, it's extremely frustrating  when other people from other countries mysteriously get a case # even the SAME DAY the case arrives at the NVC, and then it's off to the embassy right away.
 
When I last talked to the NVC last week just before I had a case #, I asked about Expedited Processing because we got so delayed by the USCIS. The agent said "Oh, K1's are expedited! We just issue a case # and send it to the embassy right away!"... Uhm, so why are ours still sitting at the NVC collecting dust with all the other Canada apps? While some people on here from other countries who's case arrived at the NVC a week after ours...had their case # and shipped to embassy within 2-3 days? Some already are setting up interviews...

Same, it's just one disappointment after another and I'm sick of it. They keep saying it can take up to 2 weeks. This Thursday will be 2 weeks for me, I wonder what they'll say then. They'll probably just start saying 4 weeks.

Just called and same result. I don't understand how other cases are getting the number on the same day that it's received while mine is taking over a week just to enter in the system. Makes no sense to me. 

Mine was received Jan 11 and I'm still waiting as well. They also told me that mine was an  electronic case. You'd think that would make things faster... 

Ours got there on the 8th, began processing on the 12th and number on the 18th.
 
Ive has my congressman involved since about 2 months ago and it’s just backlogging, daca, staff shortages.... life basically.

No case #NVC a new nightmare after the NOA2

Called NVC this morning and they still haven't entered my info/generated the case number. (Jan 11th NVC received date)

Oh geez still? I called at 11:15pm maybe that’s why. If ours is done I’m sure yours is as well cause we are the same dates. I just about guarantee you you’ll have it Monday then 😊

Finally got our case number today as well! NVC received 1/11, case number today. Said it wasn’t sent to Embassy yet though (Canada), but that it’s done electronically so it should be fast. Wonder how long that will take. Should be a day or two I would think the most since someone already processed it to finally get a case number for it.
 
I am also concerned about this possible government shutdown and if this will screw all us May filiers again. Delayed at USCIS... lost a month or so there due to the DACA ordeal... now what, government shutdown and another month delay if it affects the nvc or the embassies? Ughhhhhh. I seriously hope not.

Ugh. Well, at least we're halfway there if it ends up taking the full 2 weeks like they said. I'll try calling again tomorrow but not gonna expect anything.

i tried both but it says invalid case number but I know it’s the number because we repeated it to each other before I hung up
 
also, can anyone going to Knightsbridge please confirm that a screenshot of the ceac page is proof enough?

I didn’t bother calling last night and this morning we got an email saying the embassy approved our expediting request. Didn’t even ask for one but ok. It says in transit. Frakking finally!!!!!!

wow just called today and they have my Case # and informed me that my case has already left as of yesterday and is at the embassy!!!! WOW yesterday they couldnt event give me a case # so for everyone waiting be patient.

Finally the NVC received our case !!!! 
We just have to wait 2 weeks for the case number maximum. 🎉🎉
