I really hope I will receive the green card before my travels next week. Makes traveling easier especially when my EAD/Advance Parole will expire 10 days after my return date.

Congratulations! We got approved Monday. We got an update that the card was mailed yesterday. I'm expecting it early next week. I would encourage you to check statuses on both site, egov and myusics. Mine conflicted or didn't update at all at times. Also, consider signing up for USPS Informed Delivery, if it is available in your zip code.
I'll let others weigh in on traveling. I thought that EAD/AP were canceled once you are issued a green card, but I could be wrong.
Nope. I specifically asked the officer about the EAP/AP. She said I could still travel on it before I receive the physical green card.
My USCIS account was last updated on the day of the interview, stating that it was approved and they will be mailing me the notice, which I received today. Nothing about the green card.

Just received my NOA2 on the approval. It was dated the day of the interview 5/17. It arrived today which is the fourth business day after the interview.

We went for the interview on Friday and was approved on the spot!!
What's next? The officer said they will be mailing us the approval notice and then the green card within 30 days. Anyone here knows how long will it take? We are traveling internationally on 1st June. I asked the officer and she said I can travel with my EAD and Advanced Parole card or if my green card arrive first, use that.
But we're still curious to know how long will it take to get the approval notice and the physical card. Anyone??

Received an interview date!! May 17th, 2019.
Before I came to the US, I did a full medical examination (09/2017), did the whole sealed envelope thing and handed the packet to the CBP upon entry (1/2018). I filed for AOS on 2/2018. Received an interview date on 5/2019. Do I still need to do a medical examination?

EAD renewal shouldn't cost anything if you attach a copy of your I-485 NOA. And after you sent in the renewal you'll receive a letter which extends your EAD for 180 days.
Wasn't aware of that! Thought I need to pay for it again

We filed for AOS, EAD & AP on February 2018. Did the fingerprinting on March. Received the EAD & AP on July, nothing about the AOS till now.
Are there anyone here from Houston. I'd really appreciate it if you guys can share your timeline. I'm wondering if I should extend my EAD which will be expiring on July 2019. I believe that would be another $500 or so.

Anyone from Houston?

Anyone has any update on the AOS? We filed that on February 2018, did the fingerprint on March, nothing till now.
My EAD and advanced parole will expire in July. Wondering when I should renew it.

What's the average time to get Employment Authorization and Advanced Parole? I haven't even get this yet. My driver's license is expired and I can't renew it without the Employment Authorisation. It has been 4 months.

For those who remember me: Canuck here, moved to Pittsburgh September 23 2017, married November 4, sent in paperwork a few weeks later, biometrics December 26, EAD/AP came in end of January, and just received a letter I have been approved for Green card, no interview! Hubby and I seem to have a horse shoe up our butts during this process we started ONE YEAR AGO! It’s been one year, guys! I hope all of your luck turns around soon too! 🍀 stay positive and hopeful for a speedy timeline!
Congrats! That's really quick.

Driver's License
Did anyone have any issues with their driver's license? Was at the DPS just now to register for the application of a driver's license since I got a car recently. The driver's license from my country is only valid up till 90 days after entry.
Anyway, the staff pointed out that my I-94 is only valid till 04/22, which is next month. I told her that my I-148 & I-765 are pending still. She said something like I would have to come back and renew it again once immigration update my status. I didn't have a chance to ask more as I was ushered to the next station.
The question here is will my license be valid up till 04/22? There is nothing else to do whilst waiting for the reply from USCIS right?
Just now, Ariel&Mahum said:Received my biometrics appointment letter in the mail today! Appointment for the 26th, can’t wait!
Great! My appointment is on the 28th. Received the letter a few days ago.

Still haven't received a notification that my AOS and EAD application was accepted.

Ok.. We sent the AOS packet last Wednesday. That was 21st February 2018. Based on USPS tracking, it was delivered on the 24th. So far, we have not heard anything from USCIS. Not even an E-Notifcation of Application/Petition Acceptance (G-1145). What's the usual timeframe for this?
Also, when I sent the AOS packet, I have not received my Social Security Card. I received that yesterday. Should I update USCIS with the info? If so, how could I do that?

Hi guys,
I'm about to file for Adjustment of Status (I-485). For Part 1, "Your current legal name", what do you guys put for it. Name after marriage or maiden name?

For us it was super easy, we brought all our docs and I think they just used the passport and the visa in the passport plus the I-94. Don't forget the I-94.
The VJ SSN guide is all you need.
We got the card 5 days later with the red warning about needing EAD on it.
We did all this before we were married.
I went there today. After waiting for two hours, it's finally my turn and they told me that it's too early, my records are not there yet.
How long did you wait for?

Hi everyone,
I've been here for about 10 days.. Going to the social security office next. Can anyone share their experience?

Hey Welcome back.
Glad to see you made it into the US finally. Welcome to the craziness.
Well I just have to drive my husband to work today so I can have the vehicle. Then I can head to the County Recorder office and pay for some certified copies of our marriage certificate. That is all I have left to get the AOS EAD sent out in the mail today! Super excited about that.
Nope, I'm not in the US yet. Going there next month. Need to tie some loose ends at work.
Just checking if anyone has any troubles with anything.

Hi guys, just wondering if there is anyone left from March 2017? I'm finally moving to the US next month after tying some loose ends at work. What's the first thing to do once I enter?

Just received my visa with the packet enclosed to be given to the immigration officer at the POE. Also states to hand carry x-ray as well. My x-ray is in CD form. Will that do?
