Basically, bring the originals of everything that you sent to NVC. They need them to compare.
-
They'll send you an email when it's completed. The email will stated that they've accepted everything and they are in communication with your local consulate and that they will send you your interview letter once it's scheduled.

You will send copies to NVC and the originals to your interview. What she says doesn't make any sense.
-
It's been 3 weeks and still nothing.

We are done with everything. Passport in hand and Visa approved, green card activated.
Congratulations! You must feel so relieved! Best wishes!

And I assume you didn't run into any kind of issues due to all the N/A's ?
No, no issues. I was approved without any delays.

You can leave the boxes blank or write N/A or none. It's up to you. I put N/A so that no one else could potentially write in the boxes.

I received my NOA2 in February, got my case number in May, and I am now waiting for my interview appointment letter. It would be a big risk for him to quit after getting his petition approved. They give you 4-6 weeks notice for your interview, so that would be a more prudent time to quit.

...except regardless of what is required with the petition, it *did* require them at the NVC stage. It wouldn't let either of us submit our NVC docs without pictures. That's why I was confused (still am) by what you said. But either way, I sent them and it seems like we did it correctly. So all good.
EXACTLY!

I scanned them all and put them in a word document and saved it as a PDF

Are you the Canadian beneficiary or the US petitioner? i.e. at the NVC stage did whose passport pictures did you upload? Try to check we did it right.
Also, from your timeline it looks like you got CC in only 7 days (awesome!) Have you not received your interview date yet?
I'm the Canadian beneficiary.
My case was complete about a week after I sent in the very last document. By then, all the other documents were accepted and approved because I had send them in a while ago.

I ran into this same problem trying to get our IV packet to submit. It wouldn't allow it without the photos, but everything I read said that photos were not needed at this stage. So I just included a copy of my foreign spouse's passport pics to get it to go through, since it was asking for them under her part.
But I'm confused by your statement here. How did the OP have it backwards if it was requiring them? Was it correct to send pics of the foreign spouse (beneficiary) and not me (the US petitioner)?
I think it's because he thought that I thought that passport photos weren't required for the petition. But, I was asking specifically about the NVC stage. Anyway, I uploaded my passport photos on CEAC and they accepted them and my case is complete now.
-
Where is everyone at with their cases? Mine was completed last week, so now I'm just waiting on my appointment letter.
-
How long does it take to get the appointment letter after the case is complete at NVC? I've had trouble finding this information. Thanks in advance!
-
I believe most people go by their priority date.
-
You will send the affidavit of support at the NVC stage.
-
That's the only time. You can leave it blank if you don't remember.
-
The sooner you start the process the better. If you're using your trips as evidence, then simply include your flight info for this upcoming one. No reason to wait.
-
"Never lived together", as you have only visited her. I think most people will put that, too, seeing as how you can't actually live together (in the USA) til you get your green card.

Omg ... really ? Only after you received email in May that can move.
It took more than 2 months ? 😳😩
That's been the case for most people. About an 8 week wait to get the case number and invoice number after NVC receives the case.
-
Approved February 15th. Case number received via email May 10th.
-
I just submitted 2 identical passport photos and they accepted them. I'll have to bring them to the interview as well as other documents/photos, so may as well get it done now. I think some people have not uploaded them and just wrote a comment stating they would bring them to their interview.
-
For me, it was 8 weeks from the time NVC received the case, not from when it was sent. Give it a few more weeks.

Not if he hasn’t been back there.
Important: Police certificates expire after one year, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued.
However, this could be why it was rejected anyway, if someone at nvc didn’t realize it meets this criterion.
Right. I guess I misunderstood the post. Wasn't sure where they're residing.

CC July 26th. Waiting....
I called NVC and they said it can take several months. But I didn't tell the lady the consulate office. I see people getting interview dates as soon as one week. And others...more than 4 months....
