Amen!! My husband had his visa interview this morning and was approved!! I'm so happy. Finally it is almost over and he will be here soon. He was there a few hours and says that he had a older white man that was friendly. He was smiling and only asked a few questions.
Questions:
1. How did you meet your wife?
2. What have you been doing in ghana while waiting?
Then some small chat about doing Uber business (which my husband does). then he says that he was approved!
Its been almost a year exactly since we first started this process. We included chats from watsapp since 2015-present, Facebook chat from 2014, calling history, wedding pics, and maybe 10 pics of us doing things casually. also western union money transfers. my mom was able to attend the wedding and we have pics of that, so i believe that helped. I know it is common to front load for the Ghana embassy, but honestly I didn't. I only included 2 pictures from the wedding initially. Everything else I mentioned was taken to the interview. I'm not saying I'm suggesting this, but honestly I didn't even know about front loading when I submitted my NVC application lol. Good luck all that are waiting! And if I can be of help to someone waiting on the Ghana process let me know. I had a pretty straight forward and smooth Visa process.
Congrats!!!!! my husband has his interview next month can't wait till this is over

did you wait till the 6 month mark before you started calling? we just passed 5 months
NO, I started calling them after 60 days. I was not going to wait 6 months I called everyday and my case was done at USCIS in 3 months

I need to call more often. I have heard it takes several tries to get a hold of someone who cares. The times I have called I got no help at all, it's so frustrating.
I understand, they don't care because they have their love one here waiting for them at home while we have to be apart from our spouses for months sometimes even over a year. I wish you luck just keep calling until you get that nice person on the phone.

When you contacted them what exactly did you say because most of the time they dont want to engage with your or help in any way :|
I just told them that my case had been there for a while and I needed to find out what was going on. I use to call a few times a day until I got a nice rep to help me, some of them will look into it for you but most do not care.

Has anyone had to order their transcripts through the mail (vs online or over the phone)? My father (now retired) is the co sponsor and went to do it online, but they aren't recognizing his address (been the at that address over 20 years).
Anyone help with us making the right selection on the form? Is it return transcripts...account transcript or record of account? We don't want to fudge this up and are already annoyed he can't do the other request.
Is not a big deal I had to order mine via mail because it said I wasn't eligible to get an online one, idk why but just get it mailed to you, it usually takes about 10 days. you want to get a tax transcript. Good luck

I have been waiting over 6 months now. However, my application is being processed out of the Nebraska Service Center. They are known for HUGE delays. When I called I was given a scripted answer, still within normal processing time blah blah blah. When I try to submit a service request I am also given the same generic response. I recently wrote to my Senator in hopes they can help. I am awaiting the response.
I think it's really ridiculous how it seems to be no order of processing. I wonder how they determine which cases go where? Some get approved quickly while others wait months. Lucky for you, your journey is almost over. Good luck with your interview.
Thank you and I wish you luck

Thanks for the information, I filled out a timeline.
You need to call them and ask to speak to a supervisor, I sent in my husbands I-130 on the same date as you 11/18/2016 and my case is already at my embassy and interview is next month. I believe that if you don't call they won't worry about it. I believe during this process you have to be on top on Immigration being that they get so many petitions they will forget about the ones that don't follow up.

I just got a certified copy of me and my husbands marriage certificate and my mothers maiden name is completely wrong. My husband will be filing the I-130 petition soon and I'll need to know if that would be an issue. Thanks in advance.
I am going to tell you that from my experience you need to get that fix first, my name was misspelled by one letter and I got an RFE and back up my case for a month. I suggest you take care of that first.

Hi, since I just read you were approved for expedite I was wondering if you could maybe help me out. My expedite request was approved on Friday as well but I'm just curious about when they will be mailing out my file to the embassy. Have they already mailed yours?
Hi, my file was send last night, when I log in to CEAC my message says in transit. I believe they should get it by tomorrow at the embassy, I would recommend you call them, I called them twice yesterday because sometimes they hold on to your file for no reason. I hope you get good news today. let us know, good luck

I agree you need to get it fixed or you will get an RFE. just get the correct certificate before you send it in.

It was a long weekend hand in there you'll see something different this week.

Hello please can anyone tell me what is the scan date? Thanks. And how long the NVC takes to process an applicant in Ghana.
Hi, your scan date is the day that NVC receives your case. I'm not sure about the process for Ghana

Well good luck reading all this just gives me a headache, I really think you are in a hole that you might not get out off. Maybe get a lawyer because what you have in your hands is a BIG MESS.

oh wow, really?? That's so crazy! 11 weeks! Well, I guess I have to do what I have to do and wait when I have to wait, but I hope it will not take me very long. I will send in my CR-1 visa request June 19! I will probably be posting a lot of questions on here to make sure that every little thing is exactly like it is supposed to be. Did you use a lawyer or did you do it alone?
No problem we are here to help eachother out with questions.. Good luck

I did and I edited the document but when I go back in it still says the wrong embassy
-
I would say it depends, I submitted my I-130 Nov 2017 and I am now at the NVC stage, the problem is that they are backup and are taking longer to process petitions. it use to be 60 days and now is 11 weeks.
-
I am trying to edit mine via the link because my embassy is Dominican Republic not Armenia and is not working. Can anyone tell me how to edit ?
-
I agree, you are pretty much in control. you have to make sure that you follow all the instructions and fill every form out very carefully, that way you don't get any RFE which can slow down your process.
-
Since all of our scan dates are in May I don't think were going to see any CC this month, I think you might be the only one with a scan date in April so you will probably be the first one here to get CC.
I-130 still at accepted stage

yes my petition went to Potomac which is faster 7-9 months at USCIS is just ridiculous. I know what you mean I want this to be over as well, I will see my Hubby in 29 days and I can't wait I have not seen him since January 1st 2017. It has been a very long road, I wish you the best of luck just keep calling who cares if they get mad...LOL
