Hello All,
I received an update on my I-751 saying that my name was updated.... I didn't make any changes and I double checked my paperwork to make sure I didn't make any spelling errors and I didn't. Does anyone know what that message means? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Everybody,
I hope everyone is doing well.
I just have a quick question. I currently change to a new phone number but I am just concerned if it will affect anything on my AOS applications. On all the forms in my AOS package, I put my old phone #.
Should I be worried?
I do not believe you should be worried at all. When I went for my interview I stated I did not change my passport to my new maiden name as I was worried it would cause a problem due to the numbers not matching the I-485 form and they lady said it would have not been a problem at all.

Hey Everyone,
I just wanted to let you know I had my interview on September 24th in Fresno and we were approved 5 hours later!!!! I was WAY over prepared, I would rather be over prepared the under!
Our appointment was at 9AM and we arrived at 8:35AM. We went through the little security checkpoint and then checked in where we were given a piece of paper with a number that they would call when it is our turn.Once we checked in we were instructed to take the elevator to the 3rd floor I believe, its the only floor you can choose, once there you sit and wait till your number is called. We only waited about 10 maybe 15 minutes. We were called to a small office in the back with a very nice lady, she really put us at ease. She asked us to raise our right hand and swear that we are telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Then she asked if we could please provide her with our orginals of both our Birth Certificates, Passports & out Marriage Certificate, I brought copies but she already had them on file and did not need them. Then she asked me a few of the yes or no questions that I had answered on the I-485 and checked to make sure they matched what I had answered. Then she asked when was the first time I entered the united states, I thought she meant in regards to our relationship but she actually meant ever! I told her gosh maybe when I was 3, I lived very close to the boarder so we would travel across the line all the time. Then she asked me my fathers full name and asked if my parents lived or had legal citizenship in the United States of America. She asked if I am now employed, which I am as I was approved on August 20th for my EAD, so she just had me fill in the information on the original I-485, I brought a letter of employment but she did not need it. She looked out our photo album, which I was very excited about as I worked very hard on that, she loved the details of where and when we were in those places. Then that was it, it maybe took 15 minutes. She said that we would receive an update if our application was approved or not later, did not specify a time, and then handed us a letter saying at this point the application is still being reviewed but that they do not need any further information at this point. As we were about to leave she asked if we wanted to leave some photos for our file as if we are approved it would just be conditionally for 2 years and then we need to reapply which at that point you have to come back for an interview, BUT if we left some photos we may not have to come back for an interview.... OF COURSE we gladly left some photos haha. Then she requested we go to window 3 for them to take biometerics on me again and then we could leave. We went to window 3 the lady take fingerprints of my index finger on both hands and took a picture and she was done! 5 hours later we received an update online that our case was APPROVED!!! The card is already in the mail and expected to arrive October 1st! Everyone at the Fresno was so kind and so welcoming.
If anyone has any questions please feel free to reach out to me, I wish everyone the best of luck in their journey!!

Hey!
Congratulations, how exciting!
I was wondering if you could give us any tips for the interview and what paperwork you needed to provide. Any help would be greatly apprecaited.
Thank you in advance

Hi Everyone!
I just wanted to update you and let you know I received notification that my EAD card is in production after 159 Days! Yahoo
I am assuming since my EAD was approved my AP will be approved shortly as I applied for it at the same time. Is that usually the case?
Have a great day!
02/28 - Date Sent (AOS/EAD/AP)
03/02 - Case Was Received (AOS/EAD/AP)
04/06 - Bio Apt
08/08 - New Card Is In Production (EAD Only)

Does anyone know why the Processing Times on the USCIS website for the National Benefits Center keeps changing and going back in time? Yesterday I checked to see what the receipt date for case inquiries was and it said January 26th, today it says January 16th? This is just beyond frustrating, I am seeing people on here getting approved 2-3 months after they applied for their EAD & AP and I am already at 5 months. Anyone know any tricks on how to get this moving or what to do???
I appreacite any info and thank you in advance

I don’t think k1 is quicker now .. Unfortunately
I would agree... It seems to have slowed down in the new year I have been waiting on my EAD & AP for 5 months. People I met through here who sent their documents in september/october 2017 received approval in 2 MAX 3 months.
wishing everyone luck!!

Hello guys! Hope everyone is doing well and happy after being reunited with loved ones.
We got married on April 27th, now we want to start with AoS process but we don't know where to start. Please could anyone share with us how to go through AoS? We only have our marriage license just a paper with our details and signed by a court house personnel. Is that only we need as a marriage license?
Thanks, wish everyone happy marriage.

Hi Everyone,
Has anyone in March 2018 received their EAD yet? It's passed 90 days and yes I know USCIS is no longer obligated to that deadline, but I what can I do if I get a job offer?
Hey momofboys2018,
I am still waitig on my EAD, AP and AOS. They received my paperwork on March 2nd and I had my Bio Apointment on April 6,2018, I have not heard anything since then as well as nothing has been updated on my status on any of the portals.
Fingers crossed we hear soon, Good Luck!

Yeah. I read many people get their GC before EAD and AP. Can I know where’s your local office ? It seems so fast!
Would love to know your local office as well as I had my Biometerics on April 6th and have not heard one thing and continually check my status and nothing has changed,

Hi All,
I just came across this group and noticed many many pages, haha.
I was wondering how long it usually takes to receive any updates after your Bio appointment.
I had my appointment on April 6th in Fresno, California and have not received anything since then. I applied for AOS/EAD/AP. I check 2 differenct areas on USCIS and there is no update there either, except for after I had my Bio appointment by receipt # for my AOS stated error - user defined error but it worked before my interview. Is there someone I can call?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Good luck to all

We got the same emails yesterday, including the strange one about the interview appointment being expedited. If you go back to yesterday's posts, there is a bit of discussion about that. I think it got chalked up to the new electronic system. 😊
Oh perfect, I will review. Thanks a bunch!
Has anyone started filling out the DS-160 form? If so when asked for the application receipt/petition number what number did you put? The NVC # or the USCIS #? Sorry if this is already in the thread, there is so much information on here its hard to find haha
Thanks again!

Hello All,
HAPPY FRIDAY!
I am very excited as my fiancee and I received an email with our case number for the Montreal consulate, woo hoo! I have a few questions and I am hoping someone will be able to clarify a few things for us.
My fiancee received 2 emails, same time same day, from the NVC one addressed to him and one addressed to me.
His stated the following:
The National Visa Center (NVC) received your fiance(e)'s approved I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). NVC will forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy in MONTREAL, CAN. The U.S. Embassy will contact your fiance(e) when they are ready to schedule a visa interview.
In the meantime, please have your fiance(e) and his or her children visit http://ceac.state.gov and complete Form DS-160, the online nonimmigrant visa application that is used for a K visa.
The email addressed to me stated the following:
The U.S. Embassy in MONTREAL, CAN approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your petition to this U.S. Embassy for their action. The Embassy will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview.
If you have questions about your visa interview, please visit the U.S. Embassy's website at http://usembassy.gov.
My questions are do I have to fill out the DS-160 form since my email did not state that? We did not request for expedited processing, not complaining though, but are wondering why this would happen? Where do we go from here??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you all

I was at work and am the one who knew the letter was coming but I called him right away. I'm happy for you too! Maybe we will have our interview on the same day?? If you get your number from NVC/ find out they received it let me know. I was thinking about trying for the first time in Monday June 5.
My fiance is so clueless in this process.... He asked if I could schedule my interview now. I was like "lol no"
I for sure will let you know, that would be great if we did When you saying trying do you mean trying to book your interview for then or at that time?

I went back and looked at the scans for May 19 and for Feb 14 received date I only see a few files that were touched. So keep the faith that even if it looks like there was little to no movement on your date, you may have actually been approved. I know that can be frustrating to hear from someone already approved but I am truly hoping for good news for everyone soon and I don't want to see anyone give up.
We just got our approval letter too!!!! Same NOA1 & NOA2 Dates Congratulations, so happy for the both of you!
I was with my best friend when he told me and lets say there was a lot of jumping, screaming and crying.
I know the longer it gets the harder it seems, don't give up! It only means your getting closer to hearing

Good luck to you too!! Can't remember if we've chatted previously (I've met a few canadians on here), but I see you (or your fiancée) is from Canada as well. I'll be moving to Texas from new brunswick.
No this is the first time I have been on here, I might be using this more now though haha. Ill be moving to California from British Columbia. Thankfully I have a trip booked at the end of June so I have that to look forward to while I "patiently wait" I am going to start following you now though if thats okay. USCIS won't really do anything until the date they have on their site is passed your date- and today it moved to December 15. Unfortunately it seems to be just a waiting game right now. Some people have called and gotten word from a tier 2 officer that their case was approved before receiving their NOA2 in the mail since the website isn't updating, but calling won't speed anything along.
Thanks for that info Good luck on your Journey as well!

Hey Everyone,
NOA1 Date of Feb 13th and still waiting. Hopefully we will be hearing soon as I am seeing more people receiving NOA2's. This site makes me not feel so alone but still crazy haha. I am just so ready to be out of limbo and start our real life! Any suggestions on what to do when the date we were expecting to hear, as per the timeline, has passed? Wait or should we be calling USCIS? We are on day 98.
Any help would be great

Check Cashed: 9/11/2020

I also have a question. On 9/16 I received an update to my case saying name was updated. I didn't make any changes to my name and I double checked the paperwork I sent in and there was no errors. I was wondering if anyone else received this message? Or knows what it might mean. I have been looking in other forums but there is so many different answers. Any help would be greatly appreciated
