Not sure if it's a glitch but EAD processing NBC has went down to 2.5-5 months. Extremely frustrating for those have waited over 8 months but seems the case inquiry date is set now at early March 2019!

So sad to see some people waiting for something. Hopefully those waiting hears something good real soon! :)

yes, I ve just noticed that they processing apparently cases since March 2019 ...apparently!

  2. Hi guys,

is there someone still waiting for their EAD , November filers? I applied for EAD RENEWAL on November 8th, my case is already waaaay outside normal processing times , I asked for an expedite on the 9th of July, they replied after a week asking for evidence, faxed everything on the 19th of July and since then I only received via email an update saying the case is with an officer.

how long does it take an expedite to be processed or how long did you wait after you sent the evidence required? anyone has been through this before? my case is not even expedite anymore since they processing cases from March 2019...

Hey! I haven't received a letter. It does work more so in your favor though at Potomac Service Centre as they seem to deliver in a more reasonable time. Their case inquiries are more towards the end of October currently as it only takes them 3-5 months processing.

It shouldn't delay your processing. Check their link out: https://www.uscis.gov/workload-transfers

Hey , thank you for the link , I really hope my EAD/AP is ready soon as I need it in May to travel for our church ceremony wedding .

    good luck to everybody!!

  4. Hello everyone!

I applied November 8 th 2018 for EAD renewal . No news until today when I got a letter saying they transferred my i 765 EAD and AP to Potomac Service Center ''to speed up processing''. Did any of you received this update about the transfer or did anyone had this situation ? after a transfer how long should I wait ?

I hope it doesn't start all from the beginning..I am so sad...when I saw the letter I thought is the approval for GC or EAD

I applied for GC November 2017, got the first EAD January 2018 .

Omg guys I would like to share the great news I'm in serious tears of joy right now. Just got notice online that my husband green card was approved. I didn't get any notice that the 1-130 was approved maybe it will come later on but from what I have researched the the 1-485 can't get approved unless the 1-130 was approved in the first place. Thanking  the universe n the cosmos right now. Genuine Blessings to every one.

    this is great news, congratulations!

i haven't followed much this thread but did you ever get any notification about them receiving your RiFE? i ve replied on the 15 th of December with my copy of the birth certificate( however submitted with the initial application) and haven't heard anything since then.

Just got an email saying the work permit was approved! Did anyone get the AP with the work permit because we didn't hear anything about that. Hopefully it's a combo card!

If you have applied for AP as well , you should get two approval letter in your mailbox ( one for AP and one obviously, for the work permit) . I didn't get any email or text message although I submitted that form to be sent the notifications. the approval letters arrived one week after I ve seen  the approval on the Uscis page and after other 2 days I got the combo card.

    Hey March filers,

am not sure if this is the appropriate place to ask this question, but maybe one of you can help us out.

We received our NVC case number yesterday and are now waiting for it to be sent to the consulate in Amsterdam. I was wondering whether my fiance and I can already start applying for the visa and completing the "6 steps" from the NVC and even scheduling the consular interview, or if we need to wait for instructions from the consulate?

Thanks a lot and good luck to everyone on this forum!

you can start filing the DS160 form on the embassy website and follow the Embassy specific instructions.;)

about scheduling, in my case they scheduled my interview , i just email them and postponed as the date was not convenient.

  8. hello!!

where is everybody on this thread? so quiet...

I went today to SSA ( I couldn't choose a better day to do this ) to ask for a replacement for the card ,since I ve got the EAD.

Of course , they couldn't help because of the government shutdown!! the office was open and so was saying on the internet , that SSA operates as normal. The lady at the counter said she cannot do anything , to come back when the US will have an approved budget! :D

I received an RFIE on December 14th, and replied the next day. It was asking for my birth certificte, even though I had already included it. As of now, i haven't received any notice that they received the information I supplied, and my status on USCIS web site has not changed.

same here, same dates , same RFE, status never updated for the green card.

but on the 11th January it updated card in production for the employment authorization . have to check the mailbox today as it shows on USPS Informed delivery I have 2 letters from uscis..

My Fiancée Is a Philippine resident currently living in Nova Scotia.  She went to Canada as a Student with intentions of Becoming a permanent resident there.  I live in Buffalo NY and met her in October of 2015 while she was living in St. Catharines ON., where she went to school.  In march of 2016 She moved to Nova Scotia for work.  This March her work permit will run out and we are planning for her to live with me in buffalo until it is time for her to go back to the philippines for the final interview.

She has been to the US several times on her tourist visa.  The most resent times were after we filed for the K-1 Visa in August of 2017.  We have an NOA1 date of August 18, 2017, hoping for an NOA2 date of early March.  She had come here For a friends wedding in October, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.  The only difference now with her coming into the US is that she will not be returning to Canada.  She would be leaving her job and her lease agreement where she is currently staying.  Would this throw up a huge red flag coming over the border?  Also with not having a return flight would that be an issue?

Also, is it possible to go to the Philippines, have the medical appointment, final interview, and come back to the US on the k-1 visa within 3 weeks time?  I ask this because we are planning to go to the Philippines together so I could meet her family and see her home country and culture.  Three weeks is the most time I can get from work.

I just want to share my experience since my situation was similar to yours, at a certain point.

I was a resident in dubai, traveling for work ( and as well to see my fiance) to new york average twice/month. My i-94 arrival/departure had 84 entries- the past 2 years( tourist and work visit), i used it during the k1 interview (as one of the proofs) to show our continuous relationship. i never overstayed, i never stayed more then 30 days, most of the times I didn't have the return ticket  when i entered US , I booked it during my stay here.

in may 2017 i ve got unpaid leave for one month and came to US to spend this month with my fiance, travelled via Milan-jfk, i had no return ticket because i didn't know exactly which date , end of may, I will go back , but had no problem with the IO. i left after 20 days.

in august last year I ve sent 200kg cargo to US and I came myself here  to wait approval for i 129f (at this moment i was no longer a dubai resident, nor employee there and had 3 big suitcases with me), but certainly i was not an illegal immigrant!!!

we got NOA2 middle of August and beginning of September i went to my home country for the interview.

after a bit over a week spent in my country came here with K1visa , you can see this on my timeline. so , regarding to your question about the 3 weeks in the Philippines, if the embassy and medical goes fast enough , 3 weeks is more then enough.

it is not impossible what you and your fiancee wants to do .

i don;t know how come your list is so long , or is adding up with same applications after they updating them!?!

i have only 3 on my list -i485,131,765..never ever updated

Hi there, I applied for concurrent application (i-485, i-765, i-130 and travel parole) on October 30th, USCIS received it on November 6th, they sent the NOA texts and emails on November 14th and around that same date we got the letters too, I don't exactly remember when our check was cashed. on November 17th (or around that date) we received our appointment for biometrics on December 8th. I went and everything was very fast!

A couple of days later (the letter says December 6 and it was sent on December 8, but I remember receiving it after my biometrics appt) I receive a RFIE for my I-485, a certified translation of my birth certificate, which I DID send on my original application.

Seeing that a lot of people received one, I just think that they are trying to make time in our cases, I'm kinda bummed because I need a job, Im bored of waiting already.

I sent the extra evidence on December 13th and they received it on December 18th, still I haven't got any receipt that they actually got my extra evidence.

I checked on the USCIS case tracker and all cases say "case received" but the I-485 says "fingerprint fee received". They haven't updated that I got an RFIE notice or if they got the papers I sent.

Even though I have less than two months waiting, I'm desperate already. I've read in other forums that if you get an RFIE basically your case starts from ZERO when they get the evidence, but I don't even know if they did.

Anyhow, I'm posting here to let everyone knows and if you guys get any updates

    good luck!

    Hi ,

same situation here: similar date for filing and NOA1, biometrics on the 5th of December, RFE for birth certificate on Dec 13th, reply sent back the next day, case tracker says the same ''case received" from the beginning. no updates ever!

    i am over-bored !

    Hey Everyone,

Just an update as promised, I received my EAD/AP combo card in the mail today. So very quick from when I received the NOA2s this Saturday (12/09). It has at the bottom of the card "Serves as I-512 Advanced Parole", you get a little information sheet about using the card for AP and a little pocket to store the card in also. Picture is in black and white and your fingerprint is also on the card :)

The letter that the card is attached to tells you to keep the notice should for any reason you need to extend or replace your card, you submit the notice the card came on and it will "speed your application".

hey , congratulations, i m one of your blog s followers , and one month after you AOS filer. this is great news for me as well, was thinking in NY is gonna be slow , but happily I was wrong

    cheers!!

They probably lost the one you send.

This is the website I used to translate mine: https://alliantranslate.com/?ps_full_site=1 I didn’t have any issues, I ordered the certified translation, it was 27$.

I uploaded my birth certificate on their site and in 24 hour they send me an email with the certified translation. I printed and Added to my package.

hey, thank you for the information about the translation website, will keep this in mind if later i will need to translate other documents. i ve sent them already  another certified translated copy of my bc. however the status didn't change at all, it just shows received, no RFE update at all , i don t know...

We also received an RFIE for a 'missing' translated birth certificate, which I know we submitted in the original petition.

We just sent the exact same translation again (luckily we had 2 certified copies) and it's been 2 months since they received it, no additional RFIEs sent or any updates heard for that matter.

same situation here, I have from my home country 2 translated certified copies , one went already to USCIS, second one will probably go tomorrow

  16. hi guys,

had my biometrics appointment on the 5th of December, everything went well.

today got an RFE in the mailbox asking for the birth certificate english translation- I sent it already with the entire AOS folder . So , I am wondering now what should i send them back :

    1. the notary certified translation of my Romanian birth certificate , Romanian to english translation , translated in Romania by a certified translator, has all the notary and translator stamps. this is the same i initially sent , did they loose it?

    or

    2. should i translate again my birth certificate here, in US, maybe they want it translated by a translator here?
