Lol, I'm honestly so done with your BS. Instead of just throwing tantrum when people do not agree with you or try to help you, maybe try to drop your attitude a little bit and be humble? Nobody owes you anything here and show some gratitude and respect, thanks.
I remember you had an attitude when Brandon tried to help you out. People are trying to be nice and everyone has a "PERSONAL SITUATION", yet nobody else lost their . Don't bring your negative energy and toxicity to the community, nobody will appreciate it. You know, karma is an actual thing, just saying.
I was not throwing shade at Cata - I also have the right to be frustrated like everyone else here who's in a stupid situation because of some incompetent mistake.
I'm still happy for everyone here whose case has been approved and I'm celebrating your achievements. I don't think that's being toxic.I thought this was a place where we could also share the reality of our frustrations, but apparently support stops at some point. Message received.

I read a report from the accountability office in which they asked a ton of questions concerning the AOS process with USCIS.
According to the document, the oficial response by USCIS is that if there is a REF they put on hold the EAD process.
I also read somewhere that people talking to us via phone and emma are not fully acquainted with the process as USCIS people.
Cata
Whatever, at this point I'm not believing anyone anymore.

I called USCIS and now the case inquiry can take up to 30 days to process, when at first it was 7 to 10 days. Of course. I'm so tired of all of that.

Thank you Calendula. First let me ask what is a tier 1 representative? Yes, the RFE is for my AOS.... It would make me feel so good if I receive that EAD
I'm waiting for my EAD too !
A tier 1 representative is the person you're gonna have on the phone while calling USCIS. They answer following a script, but if your case is not covered by their script, they will transfer your call to a tier 2 representative who will be more able to answer to your questions -

I got it too yesterday and is still wondering what it means because I got a RFIE on12|18|19, and I am of the opinion that usually when you get a RFIE everything is being put on hold until an individual/s respond to it.....please share.
I asked last time I called USCIS, and if the RFE is for your AOS, it doesn't put your EAD on hold.
It was a tier 1 representative. -

Thank you very much for your reply! I don't know what to think! I will try and call the national benefits center and maybe it would help my case a bit... I guess we are spending the hardest times in the whole process right now because we can't work or do anything but all the rest will be easier after getting the EAD and the SSN
I'm only waiting for my EAD and SSN right now to be honest haha it's the most urgent for me, to start working. This process made me realise that I don't like being idle and having too much time on my hands ! It's depressing ........ also we need the money 😆
Everything went smoothly up until this process and now it's taking forever and I feel like I'm not being lucky anymore 💩
Hopefully it'll move next week ! As expected, they didn't respond to my case inquiry today which was their "target date" to process it ... Hoping for maybe Monday !

I think you should call the USCIS National Benefts number ! I believe that the field offices only deal with the interviews. I don't know how to get a Tier 2 representative, maybe call them and ask the person you'll have on the phone to transfer you to a Tier 2 ?
To answer your second question @Redvan : Your EAD/AP case is still in the processing times that you can see here : https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/Right now they're processing cases as late as May 20th for EAD/AP that were sent along with an AOS, and March 8th for other situations. I know it's super frustrating to see people who've sent their files after you get their card already, I'm in your situation as well (they received my case on Aug 21st and I did the biometrics on Sept 11th and still nothing happened...) but when you look at the timelines on here, you can see that there's actually not a lot of people who've sent their files at the same time as us who've had their card approved. It's still a case of wait and see.... I'm getting antsy because May is far from August, but we will get there. ❤️
I'm still waiting for them to work on my RFE, the last time I called they told me that my case inquiry should be reviewed by tomorrow but I'm not sure it's gonna happen before last week... Nothing has been moving for anyone today as far as I can tell 😔

I was wondering if USCIS employees would be working today... I guess that answers my question haha

my passport that has my K1 visa in it and The one I entered on is going to expire in February, how should I go about this once I renew it do I need to let USCIS know?
You should see with your embassy ! They're the ones who handle the passports

I called about my EAD and asked them if the RFE that I got on my AOS had an effect on the processing time, and the person told me that it had no effect on the processing time of the EAD/AP. I hope that it makes some people here feel a little bit better about it, we should get our EAD/AP card soon ! Fingers crossed and good vibes 🤞

OMG same here.. i also get RFE for my AOS on october and already responded and for my work permit keep saying “fingerprint review was competed” for almost 4 months. My case handle by national benefit center by the way. You already get update again for ur case?
No, not yet. I'm trying not to check my cases too often haha... The case status tracker seems to work with big difficulties these last few days !
My case is also handled by the National Benefits Center - have you tried calling USCIS ?

It’s been 63 days since “ready to be scheduled” should i continue to be patient or should I phone and see if they can give me any updates ?..
You can give them a call and ask for an estimate, but you can also see it on the USCIS website. If you're in the time frame of your local office, they won't do anything

Hey guys,
So I received the dreaded RFE today. Does this mean only my AOS is paused whilst they wait to receive the evidence, will my EAD and AP still process as normal?
If I give them a call will they tell me the evidence that they need? I worry about how long it shall take to receive the information in the mail as I travel for Christmas vacation next week (staying in the states of course)
Any help would be appreciated, I’ve emailed my lawyer but he is out of office and I’m not sure how long his colleague will take to reply.
From what I understand, the EAD and AP are paused as well when you get an RFE. The RFE letter should be there by the end of the week or early next week. Hang in there !

Thank you ....I called last week and the Woman said me ... in my state Minnesota take 1 year / 1 Year 1/2 to the process .... How you asked about of your RFIE response? they have 60 days to response it?
I told them that the previous people I've called about my RFE (not about the AOS or anything else) told me that if the RFE is still on "received" after 60 days, I could do a case inquiry. It doesn't mean that the AOS will be processed, but it means that your case is not paused again (from what I understand). Right now, with the RFE not being processed, we can't have a work permit or advance parole, which are being processed right now for August fillers.

My case status changed for my Employment Authorization from "fingerprint review was completed" on September 11th to "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" on September 12th and I don't understand 🤔 Is it a phrasing change ? What is the purpose ? It doesn't really make a big difference, does it ? I'm even more confused haha

I checked both links as per usual for status, but not seeing anything related to the processing center. I only get this message from the old site:
On November 14, 2019, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number. USCIS has begun working on your case again. We will send you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.I'm pretty sure that AOS is taken care of by the National Benefits Center. Maybe it's written on the Notice of Action ? Anyways, if you call USCIS they should be able to tell you and help you

I am in a same situation I filled Ag 19 - Bio Sep 18 - Got RFE Oct 11 - Case tracker( Birth Certificate and translation documents that i sent in package) -arrived letter oct 17 and they receive in oct 24 - my status is RFE received - almost 2 months ago and no change ...status for My I-131 and I-765 is case received since ag 19 - nothing change I see a lot of cases here that run so fast
Maybe you should try calling USCIS as well ! I told them that the people I had on the phone on my previous calls told me to wait 60days after they received my response to RFE to fill up a case inquiry (which was true) so the lady that I talked to today looked it up and filled a case inquiry for me. I don't know if it'll do anything, but I think it's worth trying !
I hope both our cases will move soon... it would be a nice present for the end of the year.
If you wanna call USCIS :
Phone number : (800) 375-5283
And then do 1, 1, 2, 2 to get someone on the phone in English or 2, 1, 2, 2 to get someone on the phone in Spanish. They'll ask for your receipt number, alien number and some personal infos to make sure it's you. Hang in there ! ❤️ -

Yes, when people get a RFIE, all the process of EAD/AP is on hold.
Cata
That's what I thought ... I asked her but she didn't know and as I had spent a long time on the phone with her already I felt bad having her do more research for me so I didn't insist on having the answer 😔
58 minutes ago, ces07 said:I mailed my wife's AOS July 29th and USCIS received it August 2nd. Had the fingerprint in September 3 and got an RFE (birth certificate length issue) Nov. 4. Status changed to RFE received on Nov. 14 and no updates since then. I guess I should wait until the end of December, otherwise give USCIS a call? I don't even know our processing center.
I would do that !
The processing center is on the page when you look up your case status on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do or on https://my.uscis.gov -
Since my RFE has been sitting idle for about 2 months, I called USCIS and the representative that I had on the phone did a very thorough job of researching what she could do for me. She put in a case inquiry request and told me that I should get an answer in 7 to 10 days.
Now I'm wondering if the work permit is put on hold when you get an RFE for the AOS or if it is independent. In which case I hope that I will get some movements on that one soon, because it has been sitting on "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" for 3 months now. -

My wife's i-94 was expired in June. We took the Noa1 the I-797 to the dmv and they wouldn't give her the ID I'm not sure why
I probably got lucky tbh. My i-94 was expired when I went

My wife tried today for her I'd at the dmv and they wouldn't give it to her ... My mom went with her and when I get the details I'll let you know what happened
I got an ID by showing mobile bills and USPS address change and also the NOA1 of my AOS and maybe I was lucky or the clerk was super nice and understanding but they gave me a federal ID
