Hey everyone, is there anyone who recently applied for a credit card after getting their ssn for the first time without having any credit history that has gotten approved? If yes which company did you apply with and for which card. Thanks in advance!

Well it depends most of the lenders look for a source of income such as job and may ask you to submit some proof of employment. When I was a student I got Discover who normally approve cards for the beginners.

Service requests don't do much. Just keep waiting. Some November filers and early December filers are just now getting the EAD approved. They don't go by the 90 days timeframe anymore. It took 114 days for me.

Yeah, I would have waited for sometime more if I didn't have my upcoming travel.

Thanks for being so postive @Mthldou

yes i think it's understandable for close to 120 days for people with RFEs (one or two). I have no RFE yet. I am starting to think of all the worst possible scenarios such as my EAD coming but my AP not coming. I really need my AP - my mom is not well and we are having our wedding-part 2 end of the year outside the US. :(

I am in the same boat as you are with no RFE's it is still taking them so long to process.Hey if you are having medical emergency back home you can get your case expedited.

just 1 on 3/24 . i am not sure how they will allow me to raise another SR before 4/24- i see a lot of people are raising one within less than 30 days. I contacted my congresswoman today and sent it a formal letter giving info

Oh if you've already reached out to your congressman I strongly suggest you to wait for now, within few days you should see some changes on your case.,I've been hearing that soon after contacting the congressman most of their cases got processed quickly and approved. Hopefully you'll hear something very soon.

Ok! Good luck! I am just really worried and hope my case is not been "mistakingly" put in some storage. I hope i am not annoying them. Around what time did you call for the tier 2 officer's response

Don't worry I don't think it would be lost due to the heavy backlog it is taking more time for the to process than the usual. How many SR have you raised till date?

wow you are very lucky! how did you get them to do that?? like what kind of questions you asked? what made them do an SR to expedite. because expedite EAD is a completely new process

Well since they had closed my previous SR with the generic comment, this time with the tier 2 agent I knew I had to expedited my request and luckily he was really helpflul. I requested him to expedite my AP and explained him that I have an upcoming international trip on April 28 which was planned months before and told him that I have also submitted my itinerary along with the I-131. So he agreed to expedite my case. I just checked my SR and see that it's now being assigned to a agent for processing. Hopefully it gets approved soon. .

    Interview Is Scheduled

On April 4, 2017, we scheduled you for your interview and mailed you an interview notice for Receipt Number [redacted]. Your interview is on May 10, 2017.

Thank you, am in california and my receipt number start with MSC which one of this should I check on am not too sure about this.

National Benefits Center (also known as MSC) processes all the cases and then send your AOS (I-485) case to your local field office in your case which happens to be california who then review your case and schedule an interview based on their processing timeline.

Day 101. Still waiting on my EAD card. I understand USCIS is pretty busy with all applications but I wish I could receive good news soon. Anyone with my same priority date (12/23/2016) got their card already?

I am on day 103 and still no news of my EAD/AP. No RFE,  They closed my SR with usual response.

We are on day 109 now and still waiting on EAD. No RFE yet either. Not sure what to do. We put in a SR but no response to that either.

Did you try taking an infopass?

So I just received a notice for the card being produced.  However, it was only updated for the I-765 and not the I-131.  Anybody else experience something similar?  I applied for them together do one would think that they would cover both as the card was being produced.  At this point though, we have our interview on Thursday so will probably be done with the interview before we actually receive the card.

    New Card Is Being Produced

On April 3, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSC17904#####, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Last week when I called USCIS to check on my case they told me that they're now issuing a combo card for EAD/AP. So hopefully you should be good on your AP as well.

You're most likely pass 90 days now so if I were you I'd call them and have them put in a service request. Tell them that it's urgent.

Well I just called USICS to inquire about my SR which I opened on (03/27) as it read completed when I checked it online. The agent whom I spoke to read the comments on my SR which said "a decision will be made shortly please wait until then", that's it and nothing else..

    Hi,

We applied on the 15th Dec and still no EAD. We didn't get an RFE either. Is anyone else that applied before us still waiting for their EAD? I noticed a lot of folks with dates after us are getting EADs. I put in a SR but is there anything else I can do?

    Hi Rask,

We filed on the 22nd Dec and so far have only got our NOA1's, Biometrics and initial interview notice. I put in an SR on 3/8 and another 3/22 and they said they have responded but I haven't received anything in the mail.

No EAD or any further updates. My wife is getting frustrated now. We also have to move soon so would be nice to have my SSN and a job before that happens.

    I feel your pain!

Same with me, I filed mine on 22nd Dec and got my biometric done on 1/30/2017 but no updates since then. Also, I raised an SR for my EAD/AP.yesterday and no updates till now. Long wait continues.
