    Hypothetically, if the H1B employment is unexpectedly ended while one is still abroad,  the AOS would also be considered abandoned without an AP..

    So Keep your travel plans flexible, and be ready to return to USA anytime for AOS interview etc

    Thank you so much for that information. I will keep that in mind while making my travel plan. But I still wonder why is it taking so long for my AP. The long wait continues.

I don't know if I have to wait for some more time to hear back from USCIS on my case for AOS (i 485/131/765) from H-1B, my NOA for i-485 was on 01/10/2017 and had my bioimetric done on 01/30/2017 but no updates since then. I am more worried about my AP as I have made travel plans in the month of April (28th)  My other question is since I am on a valid H-1B would I still be able to travel with my H-1B visa or should I wait until I get the AP?
