I think that is the $64,000 question....at least for us MSC filers......my wife's case status is "...Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview".....so I'm pretty sure we will get one....😥

Lol. Only $64,000?? 😛 Well on the bright side you'll be done with this wait soon.. Good Luck with the Interview brother!!

Also, is there a LIN filers spreadsheet out there? I know there is one for MSC but not sure if there is one for LIN. Thank you.

My package was received on May 9 and I received the NOA on may 16 I forgot to include a form for notification so I can’t track my case my receipt number isn’t working on the website or the app how can I fix that should I file the notification form and send it with a letter explaining everything?

Looks like even I forgot to include the form for notification didn't know it was a requirement to get the notifications.

You must wait until 90 days in prior to your GC expiration date, but when you are filling out I 751, it could be earlier than the 90 day windows.

If your 90 days is open starting on May 17th, you can complete all your paperworks by May 16th and ship it to your lockbox delivered by 17th, and no problem, your application will be accepted.

However, if your delivery is completed by 16th (1 day prior to 90 days window open), your I 751 will be rejected.

Most people file as early as possible since ROC is painfully long process as soon as window is open. So you might wanna file it soon

Personally, I would wait until the 90 day window opened, then send it USPS Priority Mail.......it will then be delivered (usually) within 2 days......I've seen several people lately who have had their packages returned for filing early.

Like xillini said, do NOT send it too early or they will reject it. I waited a couple of days into my 90 day window partly for that reason, to make sure my petition would be safe.

If delivery is too early, even by just one single day, they will reject it. There's no reason to file early, it's not a negative thing to wait a couple of extra days after your window has opened.

That was really helpful. I will wait until the 90 days period. Thank you guys.

  4. Hello Everyone,

It feels like yesterday while I was on the page when I was filing my GC and now it's already time to work on my ROC. Hope everyone's doing good.

Here's my update until now. My GC expires on August 17, 2019 and on April 02, 2019 I received the form i-797 C Notice of Action from USCIS reminding me to apply for the ROC. I am already working on form I-751 and preparing all the required documents.

Now, my question is can I file my I-751 this week (by May 17th) or should I need to wait until May 17th to reach my 90 day period and then file the form I-751?

As always thank you for your suggestions and help. Good luck to all the May filers.

    Congratulations!!

For some people who might want to prepare ahead of time and get their files ready, do you mind sharing what files you prepared to take to the GC interview with you? Does the interview letter list the items you're expected to bring with you?

We are planning on taking a copy and originals of everything we submitted with the AoS application back in December, but I am interested in knowing if there is anything else we should look into preparing. We provided some pictures in December as well, but we will also bring an updated photo album.

    Thanks!

And yes, please tell us about the documents you had with you etc...

Thank you.  I just got an update that my New Card was mailed to me.

Well on the interview letter you'll have a list of documents that you need to bring with you to the interview normally that list is more of a generic one. In our case thanks to my wife coz she did all of the paperwork, we did take all the originals with us, her's the list of docs that we carried.

    1. Photo ID's. Passport., EAD's.
    2. Joint documents having both of our names such as bank accounts, Vehicle Insurance, and Lease papers.

    3. Photos, not just the wedding pics they expect you to show some pics before and after wedding and while you're dating each other. Take plenty of pictures they will keep some.

    4. Birth certificate both of them.

    5. Naturalization certificate of your petitioner, his/her passport as well.

    6. Latest tax returns (2016) (don't forget this)

    7. Marriage Certificate.(don't forget this)

    8. Life Insurance, 401K (make sure you're spouses name is listed as a beneficiar, don't forget this)

    9. Carried all the originals that we submitted at the time of filing the application.

Questions that were asked during our Interview:

Started off asking my DOB, place of birth and validated all the details on the application.

    Place and date of marriage

How long you have been married.

Then she asked me how did I meet my spouse and where did I meet her.

Where we worked and are we living together.

Have we separated in the past year.

She was satisfied and case approved.

    (Don't panic answer calmly)

    Good luck to you all.

  6. Had my interview today, and and and.... It's APPROVED. They approved our case and the status changed to New Card being Produced even before we reached home. Interview went well and the interviewer was really professional and easy going she asked for our marriage documents, latest tax returns, and Life insurance policies which we didn't have it at that moment but she as okay with it and said it's fine no problem. She asked us just the basic question. So relieved to get done with this. Thanks to everyone on this forum all those key information really helped us a lot. Good luck to everyone.

On April 20th my status changed to card was mailed (EAD). But I didn't get it and my USPS shows no mail/packages to my address. Should I call costumer service or wait until next week?

just wait for a day or two it'll show up on your MYUSPS app. For me it popped up the very next day after the case status was updated and the day after my card was delivered.

Tip: i also stuck my name and my husband's name in the mailbox just to avoid any glitches!

@dcfilerdec22 I just spoke to the tier 2 agent and got my tracking number. Also, I inquired about my I-485 and she said it's already in the queue to be "Scheduled for an Interview". I was like super surprised. Did you check your's? Thank you for that tip I will surely put it on the Mailbox.
