Just thinking about this a little more during the day: if Moore were subpoenaed to testify before the Senate about this matter, and it could be proven that he lied under oath, that's perjury and there could be penal or more likely monetary sanctions for perjurious conduct. If he were already elected, he could be impeached and expelled as well.

There is no clear remedy, at least legally. The statute of limitations has run, so they can only ever be allegations, at least at law. The court of public opinion is another matter of course. We can't say he's guilty or innocent of these acts, but that doesn't mean that there can't be evidence of what he did or did not do, or that there can't be real life consequences for Moore, even if there's no trial.

It's never wise to paint with a broad brush an entire people. Something that is seemingly done all the time on this forum though; your use of the term MDL may even encompass it as a perfect example.
 
Nevertheless the term 'bible thumper' was used, in pointing out that it is often the person who 'thumps' the loudest so to speak, is often the most guilty hypocrite. As a person of faith, I took no offense to it, and most of us who have escaped such circles understand what is meant by the term. However, the church has a problem. A very deep problem that has been festering, and corrupting it from within. 'Christians' sit by in apathy and continue the status quo, and continue to remain sheep in the face of lies. Look at the polls in Alabama among such of these individuals and how happy they still are to vote for the man. That is the corruption of the soul. The very antithesis of the destruction of their faith they claim to love. Jesus stormed into the temple and tossed out those dishonoring Jewish law and the faith. Who among so-called evangelicals are prepared to do the same? It is no different within the Catholic church, where such fights have been waged for years. There is too much money to be made on sheep, and a high price to paid for silence over corruption, sex, abuse, and lies. If one talks the talk but does not walk the walk, where is there decent morality? Faith without works is dead. False works and fake faith is also dead.
