Happy for you, yet really annoyed for us!  We live one hour away from the Detroit field office.  Did biometrics there but they scheduled our AOS interview at the Cleveland field office.  When I contacted USCIS to inquire why our interview was scheduled 3 hours away when there is one much closer, I was told that Detroit is an applications office and that the only interviewing office for our address was Cleveland.  
Our USCIS tracker status still shows "RFE response received 12/29/16"  yet we received an interview letter.  Guess someone forgot to update us in the tracking system.

Okay sounds good! Good luck! It's way easier than the french drivers exam. I've been driving in the US for a couple of years now and it's not too bad. And since we have received our EAD, it means that the processing resumed for the485. 

The national benefits center in Kansas City area processes the AP and yes they do take on average 90-100 days to process those applications. However, once you file, you can request an expedite process if there's an emergency in your family and you need to go there. They'd ask for proof but it's worth a try 

Mine isn't expensive at all but I buy it from my home country. It's a ppo plan. I pay $400 for 9 months. 

HIIIIII.. mY CASE IS APPROVED. on the spot the officer stamped approved. Didn't ask any documents to give,,,,nothing,...just ask questions from i485 to me and from i130 to my spouse and then asked us how did we meet. And I checked the status now it says new card is being produced....Yayyyyy

Guys, friendly reminder that USCIS is understaffed, and there is a reason why they raise their fees every several years. These people work on thousands of cases every day and therefore some take longer than others. It's understandable that we get frustrated when things seem to be going slow but let's also try to remember why this happens. They're working on your cases, and all will be processed accordingly. Then add to that the number of calls and online requests they have to deal with on a daily basis, at every hour of the day.  I don't fault the USCIS, even if they are understaffed and aren't perfect in their processes, because after all we are the immigrants and they are not granting us a right but a privilege by giving us resident status, and that's unfortunately how the world works. 
So hang in there guys, time flies and it'll all be over sooner than you expect.

Regarding the misinformation you got from the tier 2 officer, I would suggest you disregard the whole thing and you will probably receive your ead within 1-2 weeks.
 
USCIS love to momisinform people and from my experience so far, I can never get an accurate/ case-specific information from any of them.

I've heard the same thing but everyone I've seen on here with rfie got their EAD way before the 90 days after they sent their responses. So I wouldn't believe what they say because stories tell a different story on here. They can't even agree on what Goes on either. I guess we can wait and see but I'm pretty positive it won't take another 90 days. Maybe another 2-3 weeks. 

Hr block had a certified tax agent so they certified my passport and I didn't need to send it in. Just call them and ask. It can vary per location.

I'll send the 2016 return which shows way more income than 2015. That's what the lady on the phone told me so hopefully they will finally see that my husband makes enough money to support us. We could get a joint sponsor but I don't see why since he makes way more than the guidelines in 2016 and beyond.
