    You might not receive an email as it was my case. Expedited on 4/30 and got no email. I called yesterday (5/3) and they gave me instruction on how to fax the supporting documents. Bottom line, once your case is assigned to an officer, a response was sent and completed, go ahead and give them a call to check whether your case is illegible to be expedited or not.

    Hi. The lady I was talking to told me they should send me email up 5 days but if I wont receive it not to call and just wait couple more days. So I will just wait, ai am not in such hurry to be honest. But Thank you for the info, ai will probably call in about two weeks if I wont receive nothing by then.

    Guys what criteria did  you choose while expediting the ead?

    I have job offer as well.

    I just got my noa1 yesterday.

    can anyone help please?

    Hey. You gotta have biometrics completed to start expedite process. If you got job offer that should be enough, just need tl call them and they will send you instructions how to do it.

    I just expedited my EAD too, to give you an idea of the timeline I called to request the expedite on April 18th, got an email requesting more evidence the next day (April 19th) and submitted the evidence on April 20th.

    I heard nothing until today when I got an update to say my card is in production! :D

    Awesome! That was fast! :o

    Let me ask did you request basing on financial loss? Cause Thats what I was asked and Thats what I said.

    Guys,
    I am about to start filing for AOS and wanted to ask:

    My fiance and I are getting married in a church. Do people know/have experience with using their church marriage certificate to file?
    Or does USCIS only take something from the courts?

    Thanks!

    We got married in church. First you have to pick up marriage licence from the town office or Department of marriage where u live and give it to church along with other documents they require. Than priest\pastor after wedding is sending it back to the office. And after couple days since the wedding you can pick up the marriage certificate, we told „our lady” from town office to call us whenever she get them ready and we just picked them up. There is nothing like „church certificate”.

         Good morning everyone. My wife Rugile and I completed our K-1 Visa and moved to Tucson back in November. I was able to expedite that process down to 2 months and 5 days due to military factors. We've now submitted our AOS, EAD, and AP documents. My wife is Lithuanian and I'm an American Military member. I'm following this thread in hopes of gaining better situational awareness for our own timeline and also providing some for others. Our timeline is as follows..

    Entered the US on K-1 Visa: 30 November 2017

    Married: 20 Jan 2018

    In-processed as Military Spouse: 29 January 2018

    Applied for SSN: 30 January 2018

    Received SSC: 05 February 2018

    Mailed Package to Chicago Lockbox: 08 March 2018

    Package received: 10 March 2018

    NOA1: 12 March 2018

    Payment Accepted: 27 March 2018

    Biometrics Appt: 16 April 2018

    Fingerprint Review Completed: 23 April 2018

    "Ready to Schedule Interview" Notice: 23 April 2018

    Current Number of Days in AOS Process: 46 Days

         We planned our Honeymoon based on earlier AP timelines with a leaving date of 21 July 2018. We are hoping to have the Travel Document in hand prior to the 120 day mark as our vacation/flights are already paid for. However, the EAD and AOS are not as big of concern for us at the moment. From my own research, the current average is around 135 days from receipt to AP card delivery. Any additional information would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I'm happy to share updates to help each other along the process.

    Thanks,

    Brock

    Hi.

    Unfortunetely, right now the estimated processing time for combo card (EAD,AP) extended to 5-7months, because of the additional security check.

    Hello everyone, one more question regarding AOS documentation, I have read all the posts/forums you have provided (btw, am really grateful to all those who have replied), but I still have a question. When submitting AOS together with the travel document (i-765) and employment authorization (i-131), do I need to submit separate packages for the EAD and AP as well? For example, some forums suggest that I need to submit a copy of certificate of marriage separately for i-485, EAD and AP packages? Is this correct? Or one copy of marriage certificate is sufficient for the whole package (i-485, i-131 and i-765)? The same for photos, G-1145, i-94, passport and visa copies,  It is really confusing.. Thanks for the reply in advance!

    I tell u what I did and it worked (No RFE, case ready for scheduling an Interview)

    I send ONE COPY of each supporting document as birth certificate copy of both of us, translation, certified marriage certificate, vaccination record, etc.

    Yes, sorry. I just updated my timeline. I did receive the status update for my I765 yesterday that my card is in production. Also, I received my approval status update for my I131 this morning. They have never really given any clear instructions whether the expedited was approved but since it was approved after around 40 days, I guess that’s what it means. I just hope they mail it out soon. Cannot wait to get to work!

    Wow, awesome! I guess I need to apply too as my contract start in about 50 days.

    Could You guys tell me what exactly did you fax to immigration as a Proof of expedition?

  8. Question for those who had or are preparing for Interview. So, my case status say that my case is ready to be scheduled an Interview, but I am already thinking about the documents to bring for an Interview to prove Bona fide marriage and I kind of made a little list. Our situation looks like that: after we got married we moved with my husband’s mother in GA, as my husband is working only may-september in Maine for about 20 years, we are moving there again in one month, but we didnt change the address yet, as there is still couple weeks left. In his contract it state that his employer is providing the accomodation and food and all the utilities, so we do not have any lease or bills on our name really. So the documents I am trying to get are:

    - letter from my mother in law stating that we were living with her and sharing the bills with her since October to may.

    -my husband’s contract stating all his work conditions and confirming our accomodation there with the letter of employment made by his employer explaining that we will were living there before together and we will be living there this year

    -phone plan made together and phone bills on both our names

    -husband’s 2017 tax Return filed as married

    -co-sponsor’s 2017 tax Return

    -boarding passes and bus tickets from our together’s trips from last couple months

    -screenshots from our Amazon and etsy accounts showing both our debit/credit card informations and showing wedding shopping we made from those accounts, or orders made from my account but shipped to his name and adress where we both lived

    -envelopes from letters we received together on his mom’s adress confirming that we lived there (more and less official)

    -couple of wedding cards we received

    -our guest book with polaroid pictures and wishes made by guests at the wedding

    -couple of pictures made together during 6 years together

    There was a discussion around this topic back in February and I saw some folks last year from August and other months been waived. Anyway, this should clarify/answer your question;

    Source: https://www.uscis.gov/policymanual/HTML/PolicyManual-Volume7-PartA-Chapter5.html#footnote-2

    VJ Discussion around same topic:

    A. Interview Waiver Criteria
    1. Waiver Criteria
    USCIS has the ability to waive an interview. [2] Adjustment of status interviews are generally waived for applicants in the following classifications:

    •Applicants clearly ineligible;
    •Unmarried children of U.S. citizens, if not filed as part of a family pack;
    •Parents of U.S. citizens;
    •Fiancé(e)s of U.S. citizens who married within 90 days, and their children;
    •Asylee and refugee cases in which the applicant has previously been interviewed by an asylum or refugee officer; [3] and
    •Unmarried children (under age 14) of lawful permanent residents.

    Thank You! Thats exactly what I found, although I guess they are not waiving as often anymore looking at last couple month’s threads.

  10. Guys I have a question. I Heard somewhere that all interviews also after K1 are No longer waived as it used to be. Can someone confirm that or give any source? I cannot find that information anywhere, although I found the information about employment based and refugee cases that are no longer waived for interviews (on uscis site). I am asking because in my notice is say that „not every applicant may require Interview”, which means that there is still a chance for us to avoid it. Or not?

    UPDATE just today: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. Hopefully they will be able to schedule it soon, I’ll just keep on praying. 😌

    I just got the same notice on my email!!! This is crazy I didnt expect it AT ALL!!!

    P.S. Looks like our cases are on the same desk as we got almost identical timelines :D

    Ahhh ok! Yea i guess it is what it is. Stl suck! Keeping my fingers crossed for you that you don't have to do it again. Good luck

    Soooo, just to let you (and others who might be in same situation), I just got letter from USCIS, starting that they will use my „old” biometrics for ead :D So I don’t have to go again :D yaaaay, I cant believe that! It is awesome!

  13. 3 minutes ago, Stt said:

    Maybe you can try calling them and asking if the same bio can be used and if not maybe they'll allow you to use the one closest to u

    I tried but the customer service cannot do nothing really about it, as they are not able to contact straight your officer that got your case, that is what I was told. And it is really only up to THAT person who got your case. When I said about the office so far away I only Heard „I apologize” back, there was No chance to change it... so it is what it is I guess.

    Very frustrating I didn't want to do the second one and my lawyer was just like if they ask you to do it go get it done don't even waste time calling them is what he told me. The good thing is it was only a 15-20 min drive for me. I can imagine ur frustration having to drive 8hrs round trip sucks!

    Yeah, Thats pretty much two day trip for me, as my last bio was scheduled in the morning, so I had to come a day before, good thing that hubby got an aunt there, so I had a place to stay for a night. Still sucked though, but what you gonna do.

  15. 1 minute ago, Keith & Monica said:

    We were not told anything regarding the Bio.  We also did not ask at the time.  When I sent it in the 3rd time, I included the Bio letter from USCIS showing that she had completed it.  It is a little early to know if they will accept that or not, as it just finally got accepted.  We lost 2 months while they jerked it around, but nothing can be done about that at this point.  We are trying to be patient on it, it is hard though.

    Got you. Mine was accepted a little earlier so I will let you know if I receive another bio letter, if you want. You are right, it is nothing we can really do but just be patient and do what we are told to do. Thank you for response.

  16. 2 minutes ago, Stt said:

    I had singular situation where mine was rejected then accepted I had to do a second bio! I originally planned on calling uscis to see if the first bio could be used for both but then I just didn't bother I ended up walking in a week early and got it done!

    Grrr that’s so frustraaaating! ;( but I will do it if necessary, just suck it up and go I guess... Thank you for the info anyway!

  17. 59 minutes ago, Keith & Monica said:

    We are, Monica is just bored not being able to work.  Plus having USCIS have such issues getting her EAD accepted wasn't fun.

    Hi! I got a question about your wife’s EAD, as mine was also rejected and I re-submitted it and it was accepted day after my biometrics. So, my question is do You think she will have to do biometrics one more time? I am wondering, because the lady told me during the biometrics that FOR SURE 100% I will have to come again and when I called USCIS they told me it is all up to IO who is working on my case. Wondering what they told you, if you don’t mind (immigration office that they picked for my bio is 4h one way, No matter that there is closer place...)
