  1. I have a question to those who changed their adress.

So, me and my husband moved temporarily to a different state, actually across the States, until around October. I called uscis about 2 weeks before moving to ask if we need adress change blablabla and they told me that I can only do it online or by mail after I actually move and not later than 10 days after the move, and I did it just like she told me. I filled adress change Form online on May 21, received confirmation email that they received the request, I got the confirmation number and information that I should expect reply by June 2nd. Important is that I filed for adress change on all of my forms : AOS, EAD and AP. On May 23rd my status updated that adress change request was assigned to an Officer. And since then nothing, should it really take that long to update adress? Should I call them? I am sure they did not update it because week ago my ead was accepted and it came to my old adress today and notice yesterday. Thank God my mother in law lives there and she picked it up and going to send it to me. Does anybody have any idea what to do? Wait/call/ send inquiry?

Oh congratz! Just checked your timeline. It says " Your EAD was approved in 64 days. "How's that possible? You filed in March?

Thank you :) I send all the petitions on Feb 20th but my ead was rejected because of outdated Form so I had to re-apply and Thats why my PD for EAD is a little late. But I needed EAD really bad and had a job offer so I called uscis to expedite and that is how my EAD was approved in 64 days :)

Hey guys, NOA1 January 12 here. Has anyone received their EAD yet? Also, does anyone have experience with a request to expedite the EAD? I tried to expedite it and faxed my job offer (which is now irrelevant, because the company couldn't wait for me), but whenever I call USCIS to ask if they received my fax and if I can get it expedited, they keep repeating the same ol' story "Your case is currently under review." D'uh.

Hi! I expedited my ead and send them fax with job offer on May 5’th. They responded to me last Thursday and I got a notice that card is in production :) so just check your email and tracker for updates! Good luck! :)

My PD on March 18, completed biometrics on April 19th. Yesterday status shows- case ready for interview, but haven't got any mail. Is it normal to get this before EAD and  AP?usually how long it takes to get interview letter after online status updated?

Hi :) Yes, lately it is normal, that status means pretty much that your case is forwarded to your local office and you most likely wont receive any RFE. Now the time that you have to wait for actual letter with Interview date depends on the processing time in your local office, you can go to uscis site and check the processing times there (I am having the same update as you since april but some folks already received their letters). Good luck!

I included the job offer, but rejected with the same exact response.

Shoot :( when did you send it? Great, they stopped waiving interviews, extended waiting time for ead and now they are refusing to expedite people’s EAD... I send mine on may 5’th and till now No response but looking how they started to behave I am pretty sure what kind of answer to expect. Just perfect.

Thank you for responding! I will check out the March thread and see.

Did you hear anything from them about the fax being received? I still can't get any information when I call. If it wasn't for the information from my Senator/Congress person, I would have had no idea if they even received the fax.

I was worried too that they didn’t receive the fax as I did not hear from them anything after the fax was sent, only the three notifications on the day I sent the fax stating that the request was completed and forwarded to Officer. But somebody told me not to worry as most of Officers do not bother to send you a notification that they received your fax, they just inform you either you got accepted or not when they finish proceeding your case. I guess because of the extended regular ead processing times more and more people are requesting to expedite and they don’t have time for that, I will wait and see and start worry if it won’t come by the end of next week.

I have a question for those who were able to successfully expedite their EAD. My current work authorization expires in three weeks, so my request was based on financial hardship.

I made the request about two weeks ago, and finally got the notice with the fax number last week, so I sent the evidence last week. I also got my Congress person and a senator involved about a week ago, and they submitted requests. Today, when I contacted the Senator and Congress person's offices, they told me that my case had been routed for expedite, which doesn't mean approval. It basically means that they are pulling your case for review. I am just wondering how long I should expect to wait to hear an answer at this point.

    Thanks!

Hi :) In March thread there is couple of people who recently expedited their ead and it usually takes about 3 weeks until you get notification about card being approved/produced. I am waiting a little over 2 weeks now since I send them fax, on friday will be 3 weeks so we will see if it is accurate :)

As long as your fax was sent correctly and you received a notice of receipt from the fax machine, you are good to go. Immigration officers are different and some of them do not bother sending updates. I am pretty sure you account status will change this week to something similar. You might wanna try calling USCIS and ask if they received your documentation. However, they are not very helpful and might tell you that they do not have access to the information you are requesting.

Recap: If you received a receipt notice from the fax machine then you're in good shape :)

Thank you, I indeed received an email (saying the fax was delivered) as I used an online fax app to send my fax. Email was from the app not uscis. So I really hope that they will receive it.

UPDATE: My EAD status on USCIS account changed yesterday to "We are Producing your card and will mail it to you"

Congrats! I am a little worried now as I send them the fax one day after you did and didnt receive any email saying that they received my fax :( is there any way to find out did they receive it? Did you expedite basing on severe financial loss? I will appreciate the answer

    Hey PattyandVern,

I'm also in the same boat as you. But my case history shows- your request to have your case expedited was completed - 04/02/2018. After that i faxed in the documents and haven't heard since. Its been over a month now, and I've been waiting every day since that my status will change to- card in production ! lol . All I can do is wait and hope its going to change soon.

Did you check on old tracker? egov.uscis.gov? I logger in, added my cases and than I clicked on i-765 and it showed me all updates when I scrolled down, although the status is still „biometrics completed”, I had to click on it to see the details and Thats when I saw it.

    Thank you for the info!

I guess we'll wait it out; I'll post any updates. :)

You might wanna try the egov.uscis.gov tracker and check over there. I expedited my ead on thursday by phone, on friday i sent them a fax and they updated my status on saturday that they received it but i found out today cause they didnt send me No email or nothing. When I checked the tracker I just to of curious clicked at my i-765 case and checked the details and timeline and it showed me 3 updates and informed that it was sent to the immigration Officer. So you might wanna check that if you want. The status don’t show the update though, you have to click in it and scroll down for details.

    Yes I can.

Completed Bio-metrics on the 11th of April 2018

I Expedited the I-765 (only the EAD) on the 16th of April 2018 via phone.

Received email on the 17th asking to fax through supporting documents and did so on the same day.

Heard absolutely nothing until today 8th May at 1:15pm stating card was in production

At 1:16pm on the 8th of May I successfully completed cartwheels around the backyard without injuring myself.

Sounds good! Haha I got you! I would do same thing, just knowing my luck I would probably make myself a little bit of injuries :D

Every second day. And no answer has been consistent other than there is no change. I have spoken with both 1st and 2nd tier officers and received different responses in regards to when I should expect an outcome that result from “we can not provide an answer to that as it’s done on a case by case basis, to call back if you haven’t heard by the 11th of May to Call back once it has been 30 days since the expedition was submitted. I have also had both my Congresswoman and N.Y. Senators office contact them as well.

it is fair to say I have boarded the wait train.

Oh Wow. That is pretty disspointing. We will see what is going to happen. If I don’t receive email by the end of the week I will call them on next monday and see what they going to say, but I suspect I will hear the same as you.

    update:

I just checked the old tracker and it showed me that:

    7_E04_A2_AF_CE20_429_D_A0_B0_7_A1459_A86

I guess they received the fax, Yes! :D

  14. I have a question for those who expedite their EAD. After you sent documents to uscis by fax have you received any confirmation/notification from them that they received it? And if so, how long was it after you sent it? I just sent mine last friday and I am wondering if they received it as there was No confirmation, wondering if I should call them in couple days or this is just normal procedure that they do not notify us at all until the IO will take care of the paperwork. I will appreciate the answers.

Let me express my view on this one. What's the point of expediting if you are not in a hurry? I don't think that it is ethically right. You're cutting the line in front of other people who might be desperate to get the EAD ASAP.

I am in a hurry but not SUCH a hurry to call the next day if I was told to wait 5 days and specifically told NOT to call. My contract start in June 14th so I will not bomb them with the calls. Anyway. i just received email so there is nothing to argue about.
