  1. HI,

I had my interview the last september 19th. The interview was good. The man didnt ask me for a lot of evidences. In the end he answered me for my médical exam and I gave him the last one I had in Peru, but my lawyer told me, it is not necessary to have another médical, even though it is expirated. The guy Never said I will have the green card, but he told me some documents are in another building so he needs to continue review my case and in 15 days i Will have a mail es the answer.

All this interview was in Denver, so right now it is 1 month after that, My lawyer told me I need to write a mail, and she wants to change me money for it. My question is , where can I do it for myself?

    thanks!

Hello, I want you to know that I did search for information but can't really seem to find anything within the last 3-4 years. I suspect things may have changed. We are getting ready for the interview in Peru. We have received an Email with instructions on what we need to do but I have a few questions. I found a post that is pretty informative but it is from 2013. The link is here.

Pachacuti states you will pay the processing fee AT the embassy before the interview? Is this still the case? The instructions we received seems to be a bit different. It says something about a deposit slip that she will need to bring to ScotiaBank for cancellation?

How many times will she need to travel to Lima? She lives in southern Peru and will need to fly back and forth etc. Will only 2 trips be required? One for medical exam? And one for the interview?

Has anyone attended the interview Solo? I'm reading mixed things about the petitioner is recommended, highly recommended, and not a big deal. I'm going to try to make it for sure, but I'd love to hear your input.

Any other general advice given would be greatly appreciated!!!! ;)

Thanks everyone so much!! I'm not sure what I would do without this website. It's great that people want to help each other out with things like this.

Just curious how long was it between receiving your NOA2 and receiving the NVC letter? Still currently waiting on our NVC letter :/

Yes, we actually just did that. It is the step directly before scheduling your interview date online. The fee is $265 and we paid it online with a card. There is an option to pay with cash and that is 907.00 PEN. I assume if you choose the cash option then you will need to bring the cash to your interview.

It is necessary to do for program the interview, or I need to wait for the letter with the instructions???

  8. Hello everybody I have a question, my fiancé received a letter from NVC and in this letter I found a link, I opened this link and I wrote my number case, and it shows me  my case is READY, in other words, it arrived to the embassy in country, my question is I called my embassy of appointment and they said I need to pay 265$ for this appointment and register in a website, after that I can program my appointment. I am not sure if I need to pay, I felt DS 160, my attorney told me I need to wait, but I am not sure. Please someone received her letter with the date for the appoiment?? If yes, please tell me if in the requirement you need to pay 265$ and feel DS 160.

I will be very greatful fot your help.

    Thank you!

    Mily

  9. Friends, I got my NOA2, my suggestion if someone needs more evidence, you need to show a lot of pics with friends of your fiancé, family, tickets flights, pictures of letters made on hands, conversations of all social media, a lot of picture together, if you fly to USA, you always came back your country in the correct days. While more Information is better.

    good luck for everyone.

I'm sure that must be frustrating, but from what I've read on the forums, they tend to resolve RFEs pretty quickly once they receive the response. It's hard to say what it might be regarding because everyone's case is so different. It could be as simple as a form needing to be signed to as complicated as needing more evidence for your meeting in person. There is a forum here about common K1 RFE issues:

Good luck! At least you know your file has been touched by human hands!

I got my Noa 2 today, with date 05/15 in 98 since my NOA1. Good luck for everyone. I hope all February get NOA2 in this months. Hugs for everybody.

The NOA1 is just the notice that USCIS has received your application and has opened your case. So, yes, that's what the email and letter is - it is the official notification that your case has been opened. The receipt number is used to track your case on the USCIS website and app.

The NOA2 will be sent to you when your I129F has been approved, which means it will then be sent to the National Visa Center, who will send it on to the appropriate embassy. The embassy will send a notice to the beneficiary with directions on how to make the appointment, what to bring, etc. I believe that is the "packet" you are referring to - the information sent from the embassy.

    :)

Thanks! I feel so better right now. Hugs!

Yes, congrats! Our dates our very close! Ours is February 9th :D

but some person talk about the documents by email, really I dont have any packet, only this status of my case and other email with this information:

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number WACxxxxxxxxx. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your case.  This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your case remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your case must be verified with USCIS.

what is the NOA1? Is this status case?

    Thanks!

  13. Hello evryone,

I search my number in the USCIS website and they said that:

    Case was received:

On February 6, 2017, we received your Form I-129F, Petition for Fiance(E), Receipt Number WACxxxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by March 8, 2017, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

    It is the NOA 1?

Our receipt number appeared just a few short hours after receiving the NOA-1 email, both through the myUSCIS website and the apps.

It's worth noting that nothing bad will happen if you check the receipt number before the hard copy arrives..it's just a way for USCIS to give their systems enough time to update without people panicking!

Thanks, I tried but continue error. I need to wait for the email with my NOA dicument.

    thanks

Hi Milyta! We are on the same page :) me and my Fiancè send our papers same day! You might want to join our Feb Filers group :) we are waiting on NoA1 as well! Looking at other people's timelines we should expect emails by Thursday! Good luck!

Hello Patty, I just gol my Number, today I got the confirmation they have my papers, but When I write my reciept number in the page USCIS I have a Message my Number is wrong, did you got your number?

  16. 9 minutes ago, NatO23 said:

Okay, you should get a notification by text and/or email when they've opened the packet to get your payment. Assuming you filled in the G-1145 form to get updates, of course. Generally speaking, all I-129F applications go to CSC to be processed. I'm not sure what the criteria is for being forwarded to TSC, but I believe it does sometimes happen.

You can find the VJ estimates of processing times here: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/

But keep in mind that they are ESTIMATES and not 100% accurate. There aren't any next steps for you now, other than waiting for your NOA1 and then even longer for your NOA2. I would imagine you'll hear something within around 2.5 months.

    Good luck!

    Thanks! Nat! you are amazing!
