Arazia

There was a time, a number of years ago, when my ex and I were appartment hunting in Milwaukee. After passing up the appartment-equivalent of a borg cube (cube appartments within a bigger cube) we ended up looking at a place near downtown. There was a taped cross up on the door, and the moment I stepped foot into the place, I grabbed my ex and whispered 'Someone was murdered here'. I'm not sure where the feeling came from, but there was something about that place that creeped me out.

The walls were all painted over with cheap white paint, the runners were painted over red. The kitchen was destroyed, and so was the bathroom. The woman who was showing us the place said that everything would be renovated. Which was fine and good, but I just wanted out of there. In the end, my ex ended up chosing that appartment because it was cheap, but that wasn't the end of my troubles. I lived there for a summer, spending much of my time alone, and I always felt as if I was being watched. There was one time where I was angry at our cat for knocking something over so I ran into the kitchen and tried to grab him, and just as I did, all the power went out. I got this -terrified- feeling and kept repeating 'we have to get out of here'. We left for a few hours and I didn't feel the same dread when I got back.

The worst of it, though, was one evening while I was having trouble sleeping. The place had no airconditioning, and it got stifflingly hot in the summer. I started hearing a strange sound like... bare feet on tile. It sounded as if it came from a distance and then got closer. Now, this sounded like -children-'s footsteps, not an adult. Abruptly as they sounded right outside our doorway, the footsteps stopped. The next thing I heard was my ex's voice saying 'Hey, do you see that writing on the wall?" I was already freaked out, so I opened my eyes, and infront of them was writing in read across the wall. I can't remember most of it, but I remember a spanish name and a warning. I tried to scream, and nothing happened. If it was a dream, there was no cut-off between awake and dreaming. A few minutes later I poked my ex and he didn't remember saying anything at all, and there was nothing on the walls.

Luckily, I moved out shortly afterwards. I never felt comfortable there.

My own house, on the other hand, was sold to my parents directly from the people who built it. There were two people in my family who passed away there, my brother and my grandmother. My surviving brother, on a whim, brought a friend of a friend over who considered themselves a 'sensitive'. Without knowing any of the history of our family, this sensitive identified two spirits, one downstairs that was a kind spirit like that of a child, the other a neutral spirit that seemed older that dwelled in the upstairs.

I've always felt a bond between myself and my deceased brother. He passed away when he was five. I used to sleep with his stuffed animals as a child. One night, when I was very sick and couldn't sleep, I looked out into the hallway to see a small blue humanoid form hovering in my doorway. Like any child, I got very scared and hid under the blankets. A little while later, I looked up and the shape was still there. It seemed to waver for a moment, and then moved off towards the room across the hallway (which was my dead brother's room). Please keep in mind, when I was this young, I had -no- idea that I even had a deceased brother. My mother told me a few years later.

This was my husband's first 'Fourth of July' in the United States. He missed it by a few days last year. We ended up having a discussion about the fact that the Netherlands doesn't really have a holiday like our independance day. They have 'Queen Day' and a day that celebrates being freed from the Germans, but nothing as widely celebrated as ours. And he wished people would stop setting off fireworks all the time.

I think it has no bearing on intelligence/education.

No, I don't think it necessarily means they deserve more respect. There are lots of ribbons for lots of good causes, but who knows who put it on the car. It could be a kid driving who has no idea it's even back there. Respect is something earned, not given just because of what 'ribbons' you have on your car.

No, I generally don't put any stickers/ribbons on my car. About the only decoration I have is a tribal sticky of a sea-dragon on my back-side window.

So once you get transfered to CSC you will no longer be called for an interview? Is that how it works. Just trying to get a handle on the order of things and which news I should be happy about. Not that I've gotten any news...

In general, this seems to be the case. There are a few, rare times, when someone gets transferred back to Missouri and/or to their local office after being at California. Generally, though, cases transferred to California get approved without an interview.

I love my cats, but I won't eat/drink anything that they have gotten into. I don't even like when dogs try to lick me. You don't know where that tongue's been. You can watch them licking themselves in not nice places for hours and you have no idea if they were doing that right before taking a slurp of your drink/food. Not to mention, my parents have a dog who eats poop so I definitely would never share anything with him.

We got my husband's green card in the mail today. So we're free from USCIS for about a year and 9 months or so. It feels kind of nice not to have to worry about this stuff anymore. God the magnetic strip on the back of the card is huge.

Mine and Buxton Babe's were faster, I think.

I've seen stuff like that before, except in fur instead of in normal fabric. It's battery operated, if I recall, at least the fur was... and it left me wondering how you'd wash something like that.

I did got transfer notice in snail mail.

They write about 15 day Premium Processing clock. The 15-day Premium Processing clock does not start until the correct office receives the application or petition. What is this?

I don't remember seeing that on ours, but I didn't look that closely. Premium Processing usually referrs to something to do with work visas/green cards. If you get a visa/green card through an employer they can pay extra for faster processing (too bad we can't do that, hurumph). So I'd guess it has to do with that, but maybe someone else has a better idea.

You'll have to write it out in your signature. Go to the 'My Controls' button, you should see it along the upper bar next to where it says 'Logged in as: '. Under this, you should see a command that says 'Edit Signature' on the far left. You can use this to add your timeline to your signature.

My husband doesn't speak his own language, although he once told me what 'I love you' was in Dutch. I've forgotten though. The only terms of endearment he uses are in English. Usually 'my lovely wife' or 'my lioness'. The latter is a bit weird, but it's due to a lion costume I wear for children's events.

I don't get either of the two posts about this.

Cedric and the woman in the hospital.

I feel bad for her, but if she's having heart trouble she shouldn't be dancing a day after being taken to the hospital. And Cedric... well the only reason I could see him staying is if the U.S. gives him a sympathy vote and keeps him out of the bottom three. And then they would end up losing a -good- dancer that actually deserves to stay.

I'm a little confused. From your timeline, it looks like you are a June filer. It says your NOA1 date was the 11th of June? Is this correct? That seems a bit strange of a timeline. Are you sure it isn't May 11th instead? Please get back to me with this and if your timeline is incorrect and you are a May filer, I'd be glad to add you.

Ok so NOW I get an email. I had a moment of panic/ excitement thinking it was something serious. But they were just letting me know they actually received the RFE info and my case is back to being processed, still at National Center.

I really hope what I sent is acceptable.

Is it true what the RFE letter says about EAD 90 days starting over with RFE?? I feel so behind But Arazia you give all us RFEers hope!

I think they just say that whole thing about the 90 days to cover their butts. I've seen people get EAD's approved right after turning in RFEs and such. I'm sure you'll be fine.
