I GOT MY COMBO CARD!!  Omg, it has been 209 days since I filed. Finally, the nightmare is over. 
 
Thanks everyone for the support and help through this horrible process. If anyone is still waiting for their EAD/AP, please feel free to message me here or via private message if there's anything I can do to help.

You weren't a resident yet, so the law didn't apply to you.  You weren't eligible to buy the ACA Marketplace insurance before then.  So technically it's not so much an exemption as not applying.  You weren't a resident living abroad, but simply a citizen of another country.  So the physical presence test doesn't apply. 

You are exempt. 

😊 I received my EAD card yesterday.

You AOS Application is normally at your local office and once they are ready to schedule your interview you will receive an letter and maybe your online status will change.
 
An letter from your local USCIS Office is for sure. You just have to wait.

Day 175, I-485 status has just changed from “fingerprints received” to “ready to be scheduled for an interview”, MAGIC! 
 
According to the statistics, people in my state are rarely invited to the interview. Do you think my status 100% means I will go to the interview or there is a chance I could receive a GC without it? 
 
 

FINALLY! We received an email late last night that the EAD card was being sent for printing!

Why do you think I’m in California? 
May immigration timeline says I’m in Louisiana 😁

took 178 days for the entire process from receipt to approval

Just got my EAD card with advance parole ☺️☺️☺️
Today is the day 173. 
The EAD status was changing online but AP status still says “case was received”.

Talked to a tier 2 officer again yesterday and he said that they reviewed my case January 16th and that I should receive a decision within 2 weeks, fingers crossed.

Still can’t believe on the day 163 my EAD status changed to “card is being produced”! 
 
Does anybody know how much time it takes to print the card and deliver it? 
 
Also, before the status was changed we made 3 SR and only the last one was assigned to the processing and only after we contacted the local congressman. 
 
No updates regarding AP and AOS...
 
Glad to read that people are already attending interviews! 
 
 

Update: I faxed my evidence for an AP expedite a week and a half ago, and it just got assigned to an officer for a response today. It's a long shot, but lets see what happens!

we haven't because thankfully all expired EAD are now automatically extended 180 days from expiry along with the NOA of a renewal application so there employers are satisfied with that.. We are more concerned with the fact that AOS still has not been approved... PD is September of 2016!

Congrats! I'm guessing it'll be a combo card. Do you think the Congressperson is the reason it moved along? Did they say that they did actually contact USCIS?

My husband got his EAD card today. He got the notification letter on Saturday. He tried to take the notification letter to SS office today but they denied it. Then when he got home the card was there  . Thank goodness. He’s so excited to finally be able to work and drive.
