Today I had my Biometrics appointment at the ASC in Atlanta.

My Biometrics appointment was scheduled for 9 am today. The appointment itself went smooth. I was done in about 10 minutes.

The only thing that I didn't like was that it took my Lyft almost 1,5 hours(because of the bridge collapse on the I-85)  to get from my apartment to the ASC (we arrived at 9.33am and I left the apartment at 8.05am). I thought that I would get in trouble for that because I didn't make it in time for the appointment but I was fine. The officer didn't say anything.

You are allowed to bring your purse and your phone inside but your phone must be turned off.

It was a nice experience. The staff was very friendly.

My biometric will be tomorrow, what should I wear? Can I just wear jeans and polo shirt?

Woohoo! Finally got my text and email NOAs. My husband was very unhappy about my phone ringing over and over again in the middle of the night (i can't mute it because of my work), but I couldn't be happier. They received my case on 28th. Thers nothing mentioned about my request to expedite EAD. I'll wait for the NOA in the mail and if there's still nothing I'll call them. Wish me good luck! And to everybody who's still waiting- stay strong! I know you're tried of reading it over and over, but my application got rejected the first time, and now it's finally moving forward.

Congratulations. My application was rejected at first too but now I'm going to do my biometric on April 12.

I just came across this thread and am a bit shocked. Hoping I can get some advice. I'm a US Citizen in a same-sex relationship with a Filipino. We participated in a mass same-sex wedding. However, gay marriage is not recognized legally in the Philippines. So I thought we would be eligible for K1 visa path, legally marry in US, then apply for adjustment of status. What is the best direction to take?

We haven't filed anything yet, so any advice on which direction to go is greatly appreciated

Same sex couple here, Filipino married to American guy. Wish you luck on your journey

I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm on the same boat as you. I received the email on March 27th and I just got the actual notice on the 31st. For four days I felt I was in a limbo for not knowing what they want but just like what our fellow members here advised me don't stress too much about it. Just look on the positive side, at least it's just a request, not a rejection.

What I also did was I stopped thinking about my case, I lessened my visit here temporarily, stopped reading anything about immigration and got busy with other things and they helped me so much.

You'll be okay, things will be okay.

that's a good advise, I do the same, as much as possible, I try not to visit this page like for 2 weeks and then be back the next in that way I wont  stressed out reading.

Hey guys. Congrats everyone on the progress. Just hold on!

I have a question. How long after they receive fingerprint fee do we get biometric appointment date? In my case status it says they recieve that on March 20.

We send ours on march 8,2017 they received it on march 10, 2017 and the notice date is march 18. I received the mail on 26.

What a week!! congratulations on those that got their packages sent out last week and to those who got their packaged reviewed and NOA 1 sent out to them.

To some who haven't got any update yet from USCIS, be a little patient as the USCIS instructs that if after 30 days you do not get any update from them that you should call, please abide by that. Needless to compare our cases, our individual cases should serve as an encouragement and lesson of ideas of what to do wrong or right to each of us and not as a comparative case study, permit me to say, some of our dear folks like @Becci391@antoineD,@soft, @PinkCandy, @rose Michigan, @ifoemaUS etc got their cases attended to way after those they sent out together with, please be patient, let's continue to encourage ourselves and keep it positive. it could be frustrating but it is okay.

To @Kalciaa  I can imagine how frustrating your receiving your package could be but please be encouraged and know that we all got your back in prayers and all we could to encourage you and all of us. stay positive and motivated.

Please for those who haven't sent their package yet or know who wants to send their package, take a little time to go through your package and if possible seek a second opinion and when it comes to address be very meticulous and more so when it comes  to addressing the checks or money order be super careful and use  U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY as specified please.

good luck to us all, this week shall be lots of good news to us. cheers

Thanks for the prayers, well our package had been send back to us last march 6, and we had send it back on the 8th of march and yesterday finally received NOA1, thank you lord

    Waiting. Lots of waiting.

If you applied for EAD/AP, you should hear back within 3 months or so. Otherwise, you're waiting 6 months or so.

Eventually, you'll get a notice in the mail after 5 or so months requesting you both to go to an interview where they will ask you questions about your relationship, etc. and you'll get your case approved/denied from there.

    I see thanks
