after being on AP for almost 7 month our case status changed from AP to ready, any idea what is this mean?

I understand it happened to you but we are way passed 120 days. when I spoke to the NVC supervisor couple of weeks ago she said the notes shows they are done with the AP.

when some one has been asked to submit a mew medical exam and the passport after being on AP for a while, is that a good sign?

we have been on AP since June this year. yeah when I call NVC I get the same thing but when the supervisor called me obviously they have access because she was able to review the notes. Inshallah Kheer but I'm not going to believe it's over until she gets the visa in her hand.

so I encourage everyone to call and ask to speak to a supervisor.

she said the embassy is wrapping up the AP and notes says they will contact my fiance soon to request to send a new medical exam and her passport.

I called NVC beginning of this week and requested to speak to a supervisor and I received a call yesterday, the supervisor was able to view the notes on the case, maybe you should try the same to find out what's going on with your cases.

My fiance had her interview back on June 6th, 2017 the CO asked for additional documents that was sent to them back on June 12 and we have been on AP since then and he did give her the passport back which it make since because he doesn't know how long it will take us to send the additional docs so why would he keep it?? my congressmen contacted the embassy and received the same response that the case is undergoing mandatory AP and once it's completed they will contact my fiance so don't rely on the congressmen too much. when I contact NVC they keep saying the case still under AP and I have asked if they will know if the case is returned and they said yes and I was told that the CO can extend the application expiration as long as they want if they still working on the case. I have couple of questions:

1- has anyone knows someone that was approved after placed on AP for a long time?

2- how long is the medical exam good for?

when does the "case last updated" date change? I know it changes when someone touch the case, but does it change when they respond to emails or calls?

Hello everyone,

does anyone know if people from the US embassy in Cairo received calls or e-mails after 120 days from the day of the interview or from the day additional documents was received? I'm asking because today it has been 120 days for us since the embassy received the additional documents the CO requested on the day of the interview  interview. is this really a standard thing that beneficiary receives calls after the 120 day of being on AP? don't want to just put our hopes up

I recall a little while ago your status changed on the Website from Immigrant to None and your dates and we all thought your almost there, You still on AP?

I'm sorry for what you going through I can imagine how you feel. I just don't get it, if they told you you are approved and the case created date and last update date match and your case  changed from immigrant to none, why they didn't issue the visa and what's taken too long.
