well it seems like that's what they do now with applicants from egypt for some reason.

even the lady I spoke to today said I understand your frustration but please understand it's not in our hand. I even said then direct me to someone that can give me information and she said there is no one, the CO put the case on AP and he is the only one knows because it's confidential.

Alhamdulillah for everything. We won'f give up inshAllah :)

The number is on the U.S embassy website.. my finacé called them and they asked me to send them scanned copies of some documemts they already had! And they responded in 2 days that my case wasn't stuck and to keep emailing them.. few days later they sent an email that my case was sent back to the U.S.

Calling them is better than waiting cause some people got the denial and their cases were sent back without knowing at all!

    Hi Nody,

hope you guys doing okay. after your fiance received the letter stating that the case was sent back, what is the status shows now on the CEAC website? and if it changed how long after your fiance received the letter?

    Thank you.

I am very curious too, it shouldn't take so long to review maybe a couple of months, but shouldn't be more than that.....did u followup with ur congressman or senator office yet or when did they tell u they will help I inquire

they sent me an e-mail last Thursday stating that they sent the inquiry. I don't think it's just to review the docs because the lady on the phone told me that the CO reviewed the docs and that's why the status date shows July 18th, but why is taken that long only god knows. she kept telling me please understand that "immigrant visas" take a long time.

  5. I just got off the phone with the embassy support line and it's useless to call them because they don't know any information and she kept saying only the CO knows what's going on and know can even ask him. she said he reviewed the documents back on July 18th and still have it under AP which I don't understand why if he already reviewed the additional document he asked for on the day of the interview.

Ohhh ok I was interviewed in Australia so maybe different in Egypt. Is there an email you can send an enquiry to perhaps? If you have not provided any information on your daughter such as birth certificate, passport act then I don't see them including her in the application.

we had to provide the birth certificate with the petition but we didn't submit a K3 for her daughter.

    HI

I had the same thing happen to me. When I attended my interview they just asked me if my daughter is joining me and I said no and they deleted the other case. It won't cause any issues.

    Hope this helps

Thank you for responding. but ours still showing even though when my fiance went to the interview 3 months ago they asked her the same thing and she said no also.

we met through my fiance's best friend as well. we did not have an engagement party due to some family illness and just exchanged rings but nothing formal. My family has met him and his family and I have met everyone in his family and have been to there house and have pictures with them, etc. I am scared now they will think its not enough.

are you and your fiance both of Egyptian background?

I am feeling very worried about the interview and the idea of being put on AP. We have so much evidence, we are really engaged, both Egypt backgrounds, same religion, a few months a part in age. I dont know we would be put on AP, and it sounds like all of you have similar cases to ours. I dont know what we would do if put on AP.

just be positive and do your best to be prepared for the interview. it seems like this days they are being hard on everyone coming from Egypt. We met through my best friends wife which is her best friend we started talking back in June of last year we talked every day through chats, phone calls and video calls and we clicked and then I decided to go end of September to meet and we both decided we will get engaged and we did. We had a little gathering at her house from both families and we did the engagement. When he asked her how we met she told him and he kept asking her you think this enough and she kept smiling and says yes for us it is and then when she showed him the engagement pictures he asked her why didn't you have a big party??.

We arent on AP, we have our interview coming up soon. We got the family and individual registry.

But in your case, the beneficiary is a female? in my case, he is the man?

My fiance and I are trying to read and learn from all of your experiences before his interview. He got all the docs you all mentioned. He also printed our our entire viber call log, 40+ pages. And screened shot a ton of convos between us, us and each other's family members.

We didnt have a formal engagement party but did exchange rings and have pictures and receipts for all that.

yes. my thoughts to you is to provide as much evidence as you can in the day of the interview and you guys should practice the interview questions, the CO want to see that he knows EVERYTHING about you. we printed over 300 pages viber calls but didn't take screen shots.

I realized a very interesting trend and I may be wrong. Egyptian nationals who are engaged to American citizens who are not of Egyptian descent, have been getting approved. Even with an age difference, different religions and so on.

However, those who are engaged to dual citizens who are Egyptian/American are being put on AP.

Anyone here have a different background. It looks like all of you on AP are both Egyptian descent and are of the same religion. as your fiance?

I noticed when the man is the beneficiary the case automatically goes to AP. how long have you been on AP?

At the interview did any of the COs ask to see your social media page? Like to show that on your FB it says you're engaged or that you have lots of pictures together on Instagram? (just curious)

    not in our case.

Couples just need to be strong and wait if they r really meant to be together they will wait for each other I believe and agreeing to go separate ways are also up to the couple. As far as cases sent back with no reasons? Do u know people with cases that was sent back without reasons?

I was just reading about a case that was returned and the letter stated that "This petition is sent back to USCIS as the beneficiary failed to convince the CO with sufficient evidence that establishes a required and valid relationship"

We didn't even do anything except exchange rings and let our parents know because I already told my parents why I was going to egypt and he asked his parents and both our parents just wants to know if we're serious, besides asking us why we r far apart, only promise to marry and not married and could we really be so far apart from each other and not going to each other because our parents don't believe that we have to wait so long until now for the embassy, but we keep reminding them we r waiting for the embassy still. I can't believe the CO ask your fiancee about a big party, it is only an engagement not even a wedding reception. Besides some people prefer a laid back engagement or wedding and I much would rather spend the money we have to save for better things in the future when we r together such as decorating our home together how we want, going to a luxury honeymoon, traveling america together, babies etc. Depends on what the couple agreed to do anyways -_-' I am doing the same with my Congressmen or checking out what of help they can do if any.

I think they take long on purpose so people give up since now they don't want people to come to the US thanks to Mr. Trump.
