  1. Hello!

I would like to become a RN in WA state but I cannot afford to stop working and be a full time student. Anyone in WA state could tell me the process to become a RN? Also, does anyone know an online accredited school that allows for online certification?

    Thank you!

I should be an October filer, but I think I filed early and my package was returned back to me (I think 3 days over the 90 days allowed). I quickly filed again.

    Timeline:

    09/28/2020: Sent 1st package for I-751

    10/2/2020: Lockbox received 1st package for I-751

10/28/2020: 1st package for I-751 returned back with a notice that I filed too early.

    10/31/2020: Sent 2nd package for I-751

11/04/2020: Arizona lockbox received  2nd package for I-751

12/08/2020: My Credit card was charged $680 USCIS (PHOENIX LOCKBOX) on 12/08/2020.

Hang in there and expect good news anytime from now. I was planning to call them this morning 12/09/2020 as suggested by someone on this forum, but something just pushed me to check my credit card balance...and I got the good news. I will wait for the NOA. Best of luck guys, you will hear the good news  very soon.

It's amazing how they took over a month to do that! I am glad they did. Let us know whenever you get the NOA or any type of official reply regarding them receiving the package since you are one of the early cases, please! 😄

  3. Hello everyone,

next week I will be traveling back to Spain with my husband to visit my family and it will be the first time traveling with the green card. With that said, going to Spain clearly I am showing my passport with my maiden name and everything but my question is when coming back to the US. When coming back I will go from Spain to England and England to USA. I will bring with me my passport, copy of wedding certificate, green card. Should I bring something else to proof it's me on the green card? My passport has my maiden name and my green card my married name and I am afraid they might say something. Anybody was ever in that situation?

    Thank you!

  4. Good evening,

In a couple of months I want to travel to my country with my husband and it will be the first time for me travelling with the Green Card. On December 2018 I received my Green Card after passing my AoS interview. What should I bring with me besides my passport, driving license and Green Card? My passport has my maiden name and my Green Card/Driving License has my married name.

    Thank you!

AGAIN .I'm here to ask for some help! Not sure about what's correct.

1: I've applied SSN but not received it yet. On i765,page 2,part 2,13a....it asks if the  SSA ever issued a SS card to me?Should I say"No" then explain this?

        13b.Provid my SSN(if any)......Can I leave it blank since I haven't gotten it?

14.Do you want the SSA to issue you SS card?......Can I click "YES"? In case they don't mail me the SS card or I just click 'No" then I need to  go to the SSD office to get it if I still  haven't received  it

2.I came on k1 visa so I have the medical exam in my country and it's been given at the customs.Should I attatch my medical exam report with the AOS package?

Thank you in advance. Hope everyone a good luck!

If you applied but you never got it (yet) then yes, you should say no. You can always explain that you applied for your SSN on X date and that you are awaiting for it. Leave any question that asks for your SSN blank since you don't have it yet. Yes, attach a COPY of your medical report to the AOS package. NEVER give any original documents.

From: https://www.hooyou.com/k-1/k-1-restrictions.html   Zhang & Associates, immigration attorneys

    For the K-1 Visa Holder:

    • The K-1 visa holder has six months after the date the K-1 visa is issued to enter the United States.
    • The K-1 visa holder’s status cannot be adjusted unless he or she married the person who originally filed the petition, within 90 days of arrival to the US. If the K-1 visa holder meets someone else, they will be required to return to their home country and start the process over again.
    • If for some reason, relationship with the U.S. citizen petitioner does not work out, the K-1 visa holder will not be allowed to adjust their status to a permanent resident status or change to any other non-immigrant status.
    • Marriage to the U.S. citizen petitioner must occur within 90 days of entering the United States of America in order to apply for an adjustment of status without the need for additional immigration filings. If the marriage and filing for adjustment of status do not occur within 90 days, the K-1 visa holder will be in unlawful status. If the couple still intends to marry after the 90 day requirement, the US citizen spouse must file form I-130 concurrently with the intending immigrant’s adjustment of status application.
    • If you have applied for two or more K-1 visas (does not matter when) or received K-1 visa approval within a period of two years prior to filing the current K-1, then you must file an additional waiver. This can be done when you submit your I-129F form by providing a written statement detailing your reasons for requesting a waiver.

Arthur Morgan, is that you? 😁

    Hello,

My fiancé is on a fiancé visa in the US and we are planning to get married ASAP but I was wondering if we get married within the 90 days but then the adjustment of status papers are not received until after the 90 day period is over, will this be an issue? Or as long as we get married within the 90 days are we safe?

    Thank you,

    Alyssa

Hey! I got into the US with my K1 visa on June and married on July. My papers didn't leave until August! With that said, as long as you get married under the 90 days, it's ok if you file after the 90 days. Prepare everything, get married and then worry about filing! Just think that the faster it gets there, the faster the process will start! 😅

    Ok Everyone

WE had our interview December 19 and recieved our Green card today December 30th.  Did anyone aked to get their Green card printed with their married last name?  And when it got printed did they comply by sending you card with your married last name on it.  We asked for my  card to be printed in my married last name but when it arrived it was in my maiden name!  Gak!  Now we have to phone in to have it changed.

Hey! When they asked me my legal name and any previous names, I gave my current legal name (aka the one I got after I married) and the one I still have in my country (my country doesn't allow to get your husband's name). Anyway, I got my card with my current legal name. I am surprised you got it with your maiden. When you filed AOS, did you file with your maiden or married name?

Congratulations, when you have some time, can you provide details on what they asked you and what you had in your folder of evidence.

    Thanks

    Hey!

I arrived there in time for my interview although I didn't get in until an hour later. Brought with me all the documents that were asked on my official letter although they only wanted some of them. They wanted to see pictures and wanted to know where does he work, where do i work, where did we get married, what was I doing somewhere I was living before, how many languages do I speak since the last country I was living in, was a different country than Spain and last, who was in my wedding. I gave the paystubs, last year tax, proof of living together like USPS digest that shows letters of my husband and I coming into the house, car insurance, retirement paper that shows both of our names, dental and medical insurance with our names, bank account with both of our names and safe with our names. They also asked me ALL the questions of my AOS application.

I believe that's all we gave. They didn't ask for our medical stuff. At the end they gave us a paper saying that our case was gonna be reviewed and if everything was alright, we would get a letter.

I left and 3 hours later I got an email and sms saying our card was being produced!

By the way, to park inside you have to pay $7. Just saying because my husband thought it was $5 😅

Unfortunately, a secondary inspection is a must, if an individual enters the US on AP.  And it takes as long as it takes - depends on the airport, how busy they are at the moment and etc..

It's not about how long it might take but how my experience was. I was there waiting and there was literally nobody else to be processed into the country. Other employees came around asking why no one was processing me and the guy kept saying "soon" while he was just hanging with his buddies. On top of that, he kept twisting my words when asking me if I was coming in for the first time (I kept explaining that I got married last year and that I had to go back for a couple of days to attend my exams). Anyway, each experience is a different. Mine wasn't too pleasant.

Starting to get our documents together. What is everyone bringing?

Thanks and good luck to all!

    Hello @lowea034!
It truly makes me happy to see that someone so close to my date just got their interview set!
Did you get an email, letter, sms..? And when did you get it?
Since people close to my date are getting interviews, I am keeping my eye out there to see if I also get any news!
    Thank you!

Not yet!  But I'm hoping in the next few weeks to hear something!  I have a feeling I will know before Christmas.  But that's my optimistic  wishful thinking coming out!  😊

I see that you are just days apart from me (with filling out and noa1 and so on). I hope we get news soon! Do we need new to run new tests since it has been over a year?
