Congrats oh that is gonna make those from that office that are still waiting from last year a bit more upset. I am super happy for you. :)

Still no news here but I honestly do not expect anything. My husband can barely work now so if I can't work soon we will be on the streets but hey that is the way it goes sometimes right. His health is really not good. We have a doctors appointment on the 17th to hopefully get some answers for him.

Definitely call USCIS and get it expedited. Doesn’t cost anything. Worth a try I know your situation fits the criteria to have it expedited. Just show them proof and set up an interview as well

Schedule your medical to find the fee for that..... varies by country

Then the Interview fee associated with the DS-160 $265

    Also Fee for:

    certified birth certificate,

Certificate of eligibility to marry / single status certificate,

    Police Clearance

    Possible Terminal Tax at airport

nickel and dime you to backrupt, right? :D

Congrats with completing everything! And yes! Taking all my coins. Do I have to pay a separate fee for his daughter? And also did you have to pay a fee for Affidavit of support?

  3. Is there anyone here willing to give me their receipt number that has already been approved after or before March 16th so I can prove to these nice ppl at USCIS that their information is false. I am a day away I swear from giving up...I just need proof. Also the case can not be a case that was expedited. You can send it through messenger if you like but I am tired of waiting and playing games with these ppl

Precious golden letter showed in informed delivery today! Yaaaaay! 🙈

Can't wait till fiance will open it and send me photo.

But what's interesting is that I can see different date printed in the letter - 08/11 - while tracker and web-site say "approved on August 14th".

    Any suggestions?

Congrats!!! You got the golden ticket as @AnJ Co would say! I pray I am next. We have the same receive date I think.

You can read the Q&A with a case adjudicator on this side -- if you're not actually flagged, the background check happens when they touch the case. The entire case is processed in about 15 minutes, including the background check, which is just putting your name into a system that searches databases for any problems.

If you're dealing with a high-fraud or high-risk country, there's probably additional checks that slow things down, but all the evidence says for most people, they're just sitting on the cases as backlog and process them in minutes once they actually touch them.

Then this would be true as to why it is taking so long for my case as well. My fiancé is from Jamaica and of course they are in the spot light always for fraud of many different kinds. It just sucks because if they look at my case thoroughly, my job alone would tell them I wouldn't take the risk if it weren't real...it is a huge risk for me, but he is worth it. My senator is actively involved. But they lied and told him they didn't receive my case till May and he sent in another inquiry because of this and that was to expedite the case, based off of military and job alone...hoping this works considering I am no longer active duty.

I contacted my Senator, just to make sure they have not lost my file or something. They sent in a request that I wanted it expedited.  Which would be great, but not exactly what I was requesting. I then got a letter listing 7 reasons why to expedite from my Senator. One of which a 501c3 Non-profit reason which I am the CEO of one in. So I called two weeks ago 7pm eastern time, after my senate office was closed, to USCIS to see if I went that route to get expedited what would I need to send and i talked two a tier two person, who i think was a tier 1.5 as he just typed some things in but did see where my Senator office was in contact. On Saturday i got a Informed mail i just knew what might be our NOA2, but when i opened the letter was a note saying my case was with the senate division, and I would need to contact my staffer. Called him yesterday and he says too write a letter, list all your 501c3 information, how your fiance is going to help with the nonprofit (administration and Marketing Volunteer, we all are, how it benefits the USA (we have outreach to the homeless), how you feel about your relationship outside the 501c3 etc, with 501c3 pictures.

I have not done this yet. It seem as more and more NOA2 are getting approved with similar dates as ours, even thought A LOT is getting approvals in April. We will wait another week.  :(:(:( Hope she here before Christmas when our events to the homeless really get busy.

I did not know they had a senate division. Wow, that's a lot. How long would it take you to gather this information? You should do it quickly and maybe they can speed up the process and I am positive she will be here before Christmas..sigh I pray so. I wasn't requesting for mine to be expedited but the Senator office suggested it so I just agreed.

So I call USCIS today, same rhetoric  as normal. I ask for Tier 2.  Today is my 151st day of waiting!  So Tier 2 calls me back as they stated they would. The rep tells me i should be getting a letter in 30 saying Additional Information is needed  :o. can take up to 30 days to receive the letter . Its pitiful, to say that getting an RFE ( that i dont have in hand) is good news after 151 days!  At least someone finally touched it... but OMG now what? Just wait on the letter !

That seems questionable.  I would call back again and see if you get a different answer.  It seems like they are telling ppl anything at this point.  I contacted my Senator and they gave him the wrong information and he of course didn't know if it was fact or made up...but I did.  I submitted my case and was received March 16th.  They told him my case was received in May and still pending....So of course I contacted him again gave him my case number again and told him he was given false information and to please provide me a accurate status of my case....I guess the point is they will tell you anything if they can tell Senator's anything...but until you receive the actually documents... everything they say seems to be lies....Of course they know just like you and I it does not take 30 days, if they for sure know that you have a RFE then they should know when or if it were mailed out....30 days tells me that it hasn't even been issued and that person you spoke to doesn't know if you have information missing if he can't provide you a date of when the RFE was mailed.

    Hopefully that ticket comes.

I had to bite my tongue severely this morning, when he asked for suggestions for tea I was going to jump in with "hemlock" but I wasn't involved, so the perfect one-liner lays wasted. All in good fun.

I can't believe it'll have been five months for us this week -- and indeed, since handed all our docs to our lawyer on 1/23 it seems especially long. Don't use lawyers, kids.

:jest::jest:I had to bite mine as well. I had so many suggestions, but she handled it well. I couldn't stop laughing.
