See if you can do a walk-in to the office where you were interviewed, explain the missed phone calls and ask if you can speak to either a Supervisor or the person who interviewed you to find out more information.
I just figured out from a Feb filer that writing to the IO who interviewed actually works.
She had a interview before me (like 12 days), and haven't been placed in line for Oath, then she wrote a letter to her IO and she got the status updated today.
Maybe you can write a letter to your IO to see if he/she could help you on your case because it is so frustrating.Bottom line, good luck to you again!

No, I called and spoke to a L2 officer and she confirmed that they have received the response to RFE. That's all.

Okay then Im bout to activate my patience since it took them 5 months to get a interview 😞
Field office is Hartford. I hope I get an interview soon
Did you take a look of other similar cases?
Hmm... it is hard to say. Some VJers were able to finish less than 4 months though. Good luck to you!

Not true, you are in line for scheduling, your appt can take weeks or months to schedule based on your field office. Once your status changes to interview has been scheduled, then you will receive letter in the mail or in PDF in your account.
I guess he misread. He thought the OP is already being scheduled for an interview.

What do you mean by you are the beneficiary, and she got your biometric letter?
Is she a USC ?
Are you applying under 3 years residency?

hello there guys. i need help. i apologize if this is not the right forum to post this but my wife has just been arrested and charged for domestic violence. So she actually called the police on me to be arrested. we had an argument that actually got out of hand and just when i was about to walk out the house she started beating me up and hitting me up with stuffs then she called the police and told me i was abusing her. After the two of us talking to the police. They arrested her and she been charged for domestic violence. I am the beneficiary and she just received my finger prints letter for my n400 on Sunday. . My question is ,
How do i make the judge dropped this charges. I don't want my wife going to prison because of me. She is in jail now and they won't even allow me to give her food.
Please guys help me. I just want this charges dropped and want my wife back home with me so we talk about this.
I am so sorry for this bad experience happens to you and your wife but she is breaking the law by committed the crime. The battered spouses usually wants to protect their violent abuser, and hope they can drop the charge. The answer is No. She is already charged for domestic violence, and you have no authority to drop the charge.

I want to see my daughter and its urgent. Me and my husband both.
I read that you can travel after you are done with biometric. My biometric was done in March 2017.
Ok one thing because my husbands case is exactly the same. Can we withdrawal our application and file a new one right away? If yes then how? Please i was happy that i cleard the test but after reading all this we are thinking of the best options.
Travelling during N400 is permitted and possible. There is no restrictions about this. I guess you gotta do the calculation again. (Or kindly ask other VJer to give you a favor )
Did you husband go to US the same day as you did?
Did you guy apply for N400 the same time? Why your husband hasn't gotten his interview?
However, you must wait to see if your case was denied since your case is still pending decision though. If it was denied because of the physical presence, then you could take a next step toward your husband case.

Trying to create an USCIS account to see if the case was assigned for an officer for response. If they did, then wait ! If they did not, call L2 officer?

Hi qaszxc1234,
I don't know about that, let me know if you get any info!
On my side, I'm gonna apply online next month.Do you have a date for your interview?
He hasn't had a day for his interview, and he is waiting to be scheduled.
@qaszxc1234 : No this is why I was thinking if it was actually expedited when we applied online... I applied for my friend (different office) and have been waiting for 5 months already.
-
Correct. Why do you want to travel aboard when it is pending ? You could but I guess just make the application messy when you need to inform the IO again when it comes to the interview. As my suggestion, stop traveling until you are approved...
Biometric lasts 15 months.

You meant the new admins will enforce the law stricter than Obama's era ?
Back to the stage, I wonder if he was found at fault, then why he would submit the N336 ?

Hi! I'm in the same boat as you. I already have my Decree of Name Change, and my oath ceremony is in a few days.. How do you go about doing this? I was able to make an Infopass appointment the day before the ceremony but not sure if it would help since it's really close? Thanks in advance!
Unfortunately, when you signed the paper in the interview, the IO asked you to verify and to sign if the information was correct.
I guess, you could be able to make a change after a ceremony, but not before or in a ceremony.
You might not need to make a change since you have a decree. Just apply for a passport under your new name, keep one with your Naturalization Certificate.
-
No.
Simple means: You don't have to do anything for now but wait...
-
So he never could apply for N400 anymore? and if he renewed his Green card, will this cause any hassle?
-
Did you ask her about why the decision can't be made ?
Let see how your husband interview going.
Good luck to both of you.
What will happen now is to wait for a letter. Even a RFE or Oath or Denial. However, I guess the chance for you of getting Denial Letter is extremely rare. No worries. 😉

For some offices, online seems much faster than paper. But for SF office, they are both pretty slow. However, I will still suggest to apply online.
lol. Well, I know paper is slow though. It took me more than 250 days to complete the whole progress. I don't know if filing online would expedite the case but I doubt it really depends on the office.

Thanks for the online filing link! Just filed my N-400 last night and I already saw the IOE receipt number online this morning. The duplicate documents bug was quite annoying, I ended up uploading 40 documents, but it seems everyone encountered the same problem. Now I just have to deal with the name change in my county court cause there is no judicial oath ceremony in San Francisco, another painful process. Hopefully I can it done before the interview.
I read your signature and it is frustrating!!!
My sister is going to apply November 17, do you think which is a better way of applying online or paper? (SF office)

Congrats~!

Did You apply using the 2 years 9 months rule? If yes then you were not eligible for the citizenship. You had to wait for a minimum of 3 whole years for your spouse having been a US citizen... I heard of another couple with a similar issue and they were denied right at the interview after considerable confusion on both sides.
That means the spouse haven't been a USC total 3 years... That makes a lot of sense.

No your I-751 has to be adjudicated first before you can naturalize. Withdrawing it would have devastating consequences and there’s no going around this. As as military service member the best you can do is try to have USCIS expedite the processing of your I-751, you should have a much better luck doing so since you need your citizenship for security clearances in the military for certain jobs. If you had joined with your conditional green card still valid before removing conditions, it could’ve been a whole different scenario not requiring you to file I-751 but rather transitioning to citizenship skipping that process. Since you activated the gunlet now you must finish it before moving forward. Good luck!
Why they closed his N400 while N751 is pending? I meant they could be able to remove his condition on his Green Card first, then also make a decision on N400 like everyone out there does?

@Holt, there are a couple September filers who have been in line for more than a month now. Do you suggest they call CS and ask for a L2 officer to know what's up?
Check the USCIS normal processing time to see if their cases fell outside. September Filers usually will not finish their journey this year since N400 process takes about 5-6 months to complete. Very rare applicants will finish less than 5 months, but it is possible.
However, my Biometric was on 3/3 and I was put in line on 3/20. Until 8/14, my interview was scheduled.
Cleared English Test but No decision can be made based on number of days.

Well, this comment sounds "judging" to me. She said she needs to live though because it is urgent.
Not everyone will have a dare to trick the government and plays with Immigration Laws.
Come back to the topic, maybe wait until the OP responds what she is going to do next and she must expect the consequences of doing it.
