Shokra got a reaction from Julie&Ed in Knightsbridge (London) - Nightmare
Frustrated w/ Knightsbridge - Medical (London)   Must admit, Knightsbridge has to be the MOST frustrating and stressfull part of our entire K-1 process to date!  We have been very precised with dotting our "i's" and crossing our "t's".  Every bit of information provided by the US Embassy overview and steps, the medical PDF file in details of who what when and where, etc. have all stated the exact same details of "what to bring".   We completed our DS-160, scheduled the medical, paid the visa fees & carrier service, and schedule the interview to be 2 weeks from the medical - HURRAY!  It's almost over.... NOT!!!! We received a confirmation email from Knightsbridge with a list of "What to bring to your medical" and there are 3 - 4 items listed that are NOT listed any where in any of the documents we received from the Embassy, neither of their websites, NOR the link provided in the Knightsbridge email.   Slamming into Brick Walls here: 6.  A Letter/Email from the embassy/NVC to confirm your case number and visa category - Never have we received anything from the NVC - They received our K1 03/20/2017, forwarded to Embassy 03/23/2017, Embassy received 03/27/2017 - Called NVC requesting a document with our details and case # on it.   They informed me that NVC does not process K1's but they would put in a request to send me a document w/ NO ETA on how long before its mailed. - Called Knightsbridge they state its mandatory and I can't do the medical without it and to call the Embassy
    - Called the Embassy, the switchboard operator states:  They do not take calls and to submit an online inquiry, turn around reply time is 5 - 10 business days - REPLY time?!
His medical exam is scheduled for 04/28/2017   7.  Summary of medical history from GP (NOT full medical records) and reports covering any medical conditions, disabilities, and prior serious illnesses you have been treated for or anything ongoing.  You may ask your GP for a “Patient Summary”, or access this yourself under “Patient Access”. - The GP is unbelievable - It takes a week between asking anything to get a reply.  We have been working on getting them to print out his vaccination records now for over a month.  We rang them up today requesting a "Patient Summary" and they state we have to submit it in writing and it will take 2 weeks.  2 WEEKS .... seriously? It's not his entire medical history we informed them of this, its just a 1 page summary.
    - I rang Knightsbridge back and got the same thing it's mandatory, the exam results will not be sent to the Embassy without it.  She also stated it should only take them 24 - 48 hours to generate the "Patient Summary".
    - Called GP back, submit in writing and wait 2 weeks Seriously - Why!?!  Why are these documents being requested when they aren't even on the list from the Embassy and surely WE canNOT be the only ones going through this.   I'm about to pull my hair out.... Does anyone have any suggestions?! PLEASE - other than reschedule both the medical and interview   Thanks for your time and help   Knightsbridge email document requirements:

I last saw my FF back in August, we wanted to met again in Dec and again last month but we are putting it off.  That is money saved for our grand trip after the approval   *prays*  Been quizzing him every other day..

So with saving we can now do an entire months tour of the states

Good things come to those that wait!!!!

It's easy to get caught up and depressed watching other cases get approved when they are right before or after your NOA1 date; but people seem to forget the following:
1 - Every case is different
2 - Some countries take longer than others
3 - ITs BUSINESS days, excluding Holidays and weekends! <-- biggest one that people seem to forget - The government does not work on weekends
4 - each case worker has a different case load
5 - every case worker works at a different pace

Geo's generated report is just a guestimate and stated I should have gotten my NOA2, 3-weeks ago; but I didn't toss in the towel because his report was off.  VJ's timeline is a guestimate, they can be off as well.  The only true accurate readings is the USCIS and by following their updates will give you a rough idea.

Not receiving a RFE is good news... remember NO news is good news.  You can travel there and your FF can travel to the states all you want while the case is being processed.  Nothing says you have to stay put.  Just keep gathering your evidence for the interview

Being impatient isn't going to solve anything, it will only make matters worse.  "IF" you can't handle the 2 - 6+ months it can take for the Fiancé/e Visa then you sure are NOT going to like the 8 months - 1.5 years it can take for the Spousal Visa.

I have been in my solid relationship for 10+ years, we finally filed - I have waited over 10 years to bring my fiancé home to me; 2 - 6+ months is not going to kill me.  This time has given our relationship a solid foundation and has actually made our relationship stronger.

I think it would be naïve and foolish to back out of your petition now and can actually hinder your changes of another type of visa.

    Patience is a virtue

It would be nice if they had just a bit more communication rather than absolute zero!

    Example:
We mail off our applications to the lockbox (signature required, tracking, etc.)
We get confirmation it was signed for and/or delivered
Within 1 - 3 weeks we get a NOA1 (stating where the case will be transferred too)
Then it's absolute ZERO, NADA, Zilch!

It would be nice if there was a little update on the case(s) that stated:
    Received <insert service center here>
    Assigned <insert case worker initials>

I really think this is the hardest part - NOT knowing, if it arrived at the service center, if its been assigned to anyone..  I know every case worker has a different load, each case worker works at their own pace, etc. etc. but when you look at the USCIS processing times - that is jumping forward then backwards, then forward again.  It's months behind and not even remotely accurate.  VJs site, I can't stay is accurate either.  People in October & November are still waiting - Yet people with NOA1 of December 12 are receiving NOA2 (I'm December 7th NOA1 & I haven't heard a peep in 84 days)

So I'm not sure what scan you are doing of who, what, when & where...

Shokra got a reaction from karice in question about G-325a
There is no way to add that amendment to the I-129F as it does NOT pertain to any of the questions.   The amendment would be #letter <amendment>, etc.

The G-325a is for YOU and YOUR fiancé/e's biological background form ONLY - it does NOT have a thing to do with her daughter that is an ADULT and whom is NOT filing for Visa.

You are making this way harder than it needs to be.  Under your fiancé/e's details of the I-129F you must list all her child (under which husband they are from).  Just because their names are on the I-129F doesn't mean you are filing a Visa for them.

Read the instructions please instead of assuming.  You've asked for help we've given you the proper steps to take and you are still choosing to do it your own way.

There is no reason why your fiancé cannot start the process of your K-1 visa.  You do not know your father, he's irrelevant to the situation.  Just "IF" you are asked about your RL Father tell them the truth.  You don't know anything about him, he left when you where a toddler and have never heard from him again.  I doubt they will ask.

Remember, answer all questions honestly, short & sweet - Don't give more than you have too.

Start your process and come to the states
