hmmm this may be a dumb question but do they send an email when an appointment has been scheduled or is it an actual letter by mail? lol sorry, theres so many steps to this process that IDK what to expect anymore.

I had to call them up and once i spoke to someone then they told me about the interview being scheduled. It might have been a coincidence but my email came in a day after i called them.

Just called the NVC! We have an interview at CDJ on January 5th! Thank god! So does anyone know what we do now?

If you supplied NVC with the email addresses then they will send the interview appointment letter (P4) to both the email addresses. They send one by mail to the beneficiaries mailing address that was filled out in the DS260. Once you have that you can get the medical done and then wait for the interview date.

My husband is the petitioner, will he be able to come with me inside the interview room? Does anyone know?

Read the documentation of the NVC. They list if one can or can't bring the petitionar.

https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/interview/prepare.html has the instructions. Read through it.

    Hello all.

Just received an email from the NVC stating that they are going to schedule the interview!

However, they have stated that some of my wifes' tax information is missing.

The year in question is 2016, my wife was not in the states or working for that year as she was studying abroad.

Pretty sure this has been stated on the previous forms that we have filled in, but just a little unsure.

Don't want to go to the interview and find out we've missed something!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its probably the W2 or the tax return. It might be to prove income to support the beneficiary. Does the letter say to bring it to the interview or submit it ahead of time?

Did she file her taxes for that year while living abroad?

I hope this isn’t a stupid question I tried to read to previous post but ended up being more confused. So upon checking my case it states that my petition was sent to the nvc on 11/24. What happens next exactly and what’s the time frame? Is that date I use for my timeline for nvc recieved ? Thanks !!

So your i-130 was approved. Now you will start the process for the NVC for that you will need the NVC case number and the invoice ID number. Maybe on Monday call up the NVC asking them if they got your case if they did then you can ask them for those and start the process on https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx

    Disregard,

Disregard the above. I see from your previous posts that your husband is a LPR. Has he filed for his citizenship since then?

You have 2 other posts open with the same subject. I suggest you keep on updating that one.

As for the case being prolonged, has your husband called up USCIS yet? They must have sent some notifications or he must have called them up. What updates did your husband get from them?

You guys have done Nikkah or only engaged?

@JFH can you please merge this topic and the 2 above?

What visa did you file for that the i-130 has been pending since 2014?

Is the petitioner a GC holder or a USC?
